Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 350: Chapter 348: Zouwu

Oren and the others quickly left the Oak Barrel Bar, just like three ordinary tourists, not drawing any attention.

Meanwhile, Kael, still at the Fire Dragon Reserve, had no idea that the Defence Against the Dark Arts professor who once wanted him dead was also in Romania.

He was currently busy teasing the Zouwu on the ground.

The Zouwu is also a Fantastic Beast, much larger than a Kneazle, with oval eyes that resemble two shining sapphires.

However, such creatures are extremely rare in Britain, and this was his first time seeing a live one.

Kael scratched the Zouwu’s chin with his hand, and the Zouwu comfortably raised its head, producing a ”purring” sound from its throat.

”Shaqiel seems to like you a lot.”

Professor Rockneil squatted next to Kael and smiled, ”Normally, it’s quite fierce and would almost never trust a stranger like this.”

He looked at the exposed belly of the Zouwu, his eyes full of envy.

Not to mention strangers, the Zouwu would rarely show its belly even to him, its owner.

”No way, why?” Professor Rockneil thought, feeling a bit sour.

However, Kael had no doubt about him saying the Zouwu was fierce.

Don’t be fooled by its current docile state; it wasn’t like this earlier, chasing and biting a guy who tried to steal a Dragon Egg.

The Zouwu is inherently agile, with its claws and teeth long and sharp, easily leaving a wound on the opponent.

Most importantly, when attacked by magic, they split into several Zouwus, significantly increasing the danger.

Unafraid of magic attacks, they multiply, which alone can drive most wizards facing a Zouwu to despair.

That person just now... when the Dragon Tamer went over, he even laughed as if he had seen a savior.

It’s worth mentioning that with the help of the surrounding Masters of Fantastic Beasts, the call for help was completely resolved in less than five minutes after it was sent out.

Then the Aurors from the Romanian Ministry of Magic also arrived, escorting them out of the Fire Dragon Reserve.

The entire process was seamless, like it had been rehearsed many times before.

Kael originally wanted to help, but ended up being a spectator the whole time... there’s no way around it, Newt was watching the entire time, and he couldn’t step in.

After playing with the Zouwu for a while, Chris came back.

”The one who ran away is called Roy, an Austrian wizard.” He handed a few photos to the group, ”The Ministry of Magic is already negotiating with them.”

”I think, it’s unlikely they’ll be caught.”

Professor Rockneil shook his head, casually putting the photos away.

These are matters for the Romanian Ministry of Magic to consider and have nothing to do with them anymore.

Kael looked at them, puzzled, ”Did you already know this would happen?”

”Kind of, when we first arrived here, we did discuss similar situations.”

Chris said, ”But at that time, everyone thought these people would wait until we all left before making a move; we didn’t expect them to be so impatient.”

”Yeah, underestimated.” Professor Rockneil reached out to touch the Zouwu, only to be slapped on the back of his hand by its tail.

He didn’t care and touched it harder.

At worst, he’d just get scratched a couple of times; he’s very familiar with this kind of thing, experienced...

The Zouwu just glanced back and couldn’t be bothered with him.

...

This incident could only be considered a minor episode, and soon no one was discussing it anymore.

Afterward, Charlie came over, having gotten a day off, and planned to take Kael for a tour around the settlements near the reserve.

Because of his age, Charlie didn’t take Kael to the bar... actually, he wanted to, but since Chris was still around, he had to restrain himself a bit.

But the shops around the settlements were quite interesting.

The robes in the Fire Dragon Clothing Store were completely different in style from Madam Malkin’s in Diagon Alley, all made of rough, sturdy fabric that felt coarse to the touch. There was also a Dragon Skin Robe here, but it was outrageously expensive.

The Magic Items Shop was also interesting; Kael bought some dragon-related accessories here.

He originally wanted to buy a set of fire dragon models, but Charlie quietly told him that the models here were basically things sold to fool tourists, not only lacking features but also twice as expensive as elsewhere.

If Kael really liked them, he might as well buy them in Diagon Alley; there’s no difference from the ones here.

”If you want to buy a present, those accessories made from Dragon Fang are quite nice.” He suggested, ”John Senior’s craftsmanship is the best here, and the materials are all fine.”

After coming out of the Magic Items Shop, they went to the Magic Potion Shop, the largest shop in the settlement.

Most of the shop’s stock consisted of medicinal herbs, with an entire wall of bottled Dittany Essence and burn-healing potions.

Besides, the shop also had a lot of local specialty herbs.

Kael curiously stared at a string of black vines hanging down from the ceiling near the door.

They were covered with black, fist-sized objects, somewhat like Knot Vine, but the color was wrong, and the fruit was smaller.

”These are Bubble Vines.”

Charlie explained, ”The fruit explodes upon impact, filling the surroundings with sticky bubbles.”

”But they’re not dangerous, in fact, locals often use them to clean houses. It’s simple to use, just throw the fruit at the wall and rinse it off with water.

I’ve tried it a few times before; the cleaning effect is quite good.”

”Oh!” Kael was intrigued, ”Can it be used to wash hair?”

”Wash hair?” Charlie thought for a moment and said uncertainly, ”I suppose it should...”

To be honest, he didn’t really know.

”It can!” At this moment, the previously silent shop owner suddenly spoke up, ”And there’s a large amount of Bubble Vine fruit in the original Rapid Smooth Hair Agent.”

”I’ll buy it, how much is it.”

”One fruit, two Sickles.”

The shop owner smiled and said, ”One Galleon will get you ten.”

”What about this whole bunch?” Kael asked.

”There are fifty-nine fruits in total on this one.”

The shop attendant suddenly became much more enthusiastic, ”If you want them all, you can have them for just five Galleons, and I’ll throw in this vine.

This vine is very sturdy and extremely tough, even a Fire Dragon can’t break free easily.

If you don’t believe, you can ask your friend, he seems to be a Dragon Tamer.”

Charlie nodded.

There were many Bubble Vines in the reserve, and when there weren’t enough cages before, they also used this vine to transport injured and unconscious Fire Dragons. It was indeed very sturdy.

”Alright, I’ll take it.” Kael took out five Galleons.

The shop attendant immediately picked it and packed it together with the vine and fruit.

Kael also bought some other herbs, not particularly precious, but unique to the area.
