Global Game: I Have Portable Store

Chapter 314: Chapter 310: Spectators

”I found it.”

Zhou An looked at his phone and shouted:

”Someone from this gathering place posted on the forum about a large-scale massacre of people turning into corpses at their gathering place, and they’ve taken in a lot of people recently.”

Su Changxing thought for a moment and said, ”With so many people, they definitely don’t have enough food.”

Su Changxing and his group managed to acquire a large amount of food during the Blood Moon event, which allowed them to supply thousands of people, whereas typical gathering places would encounter food shortages once their population reached a thousand.

Currently, most gathering places are small and scattered across the city.

Zhu Wenwu was somewhat hesitant and said, ”What should we do now?”

Su Changxing took a few steps forward, his eyes flashing with a ghostly green light, and said, ”Divert the Undead Tide and see what’s going on here.”

He took a dark grenade from his pocket and handed it to the Monkey King, saying, ”You know how this works: pull the ring, throw it, and it explodes. Go to the east, away from this place, and detonate the grenade.”

This was an item from the latest refresh of the Mysterious Shop, a fragmentation grenade, priced at eight hundred points each.

The Monkey King nodded, took the grenade, and immediately ran downstairs.

Zhou An was stunned, blinking his eyes, and asked, ”Brother Su, where did you get this thing?”

Su Changxing thought for a moment and said, ”I exchanged for it at the Mysterious Shop, got a few of them.”

”The Mysterious Shop has this kind of thing?”

Zhou An looked surprised and glanced back at the departing Monkey King.

Su Changxing nodded affirmatively and said, ”Yes, but they are hard to come by.”

Zhu Wenwu raised his eyebrows, instinctively feeling that it wasn’t so simple, and said, ”In that case, the Monkey King might be in danger.”

Su Changxing turned and led the group downstairs, continuing, ”It can climb walls, and zombies aren’t very aggressive towards it, so it’s not that dangerous.”

”As long as it can correctly handle the grenade.”

Zhou An suddenly added.

Zhu Wenwu said uncertainly, ”It’s quite smart, it should know how to throw a grenade... if watching TV can teach Martial Arts, learning to throw a grenade shouldn’t be an issue.”

Upon reaching the stairway, the ground was littered with zombie corpses at Tao Yi’s feet, with more zombies still pouring in from below.

Su Changxing waited on the second floor for a short while until he heard the booming sound of an explosion in the distance, accompanied by a faint shockwave.

The zombies below were affected, immediately changing direction and running towards the Monkey King’s direction.

This explosion directly altered the direction of the Undead Tide.

Su Changxing stood by the window sill and turned back, saying, ”You all wait here for a while. I’ll go over first, and when the zombies thin out a bit, you can come down.”

With that, he leaped from the second floor, knocking a zombie to the ground, and immediately pushed through the horde with a powerful kick.

The distance to the gathering place’s main gate wasn’t far, but because of the Undead Tide, it seemed distant.

Su Changxing charged to the main gate of the gathering place. By then, the place had already fallen, with a large number of people frantically retreating, appearing chaotic and without order.

They were no different from the approaching Undead Tide, except for the fact that they were terrified.

”Don’t retreat! Don’t retreat! Whoever retreats will die!”

A young man in leather armor thrust a longsword into the back of the man next to him, shouting fiercely, driving the crowd to face the Undead Tide head-on.

Yet he himself continued to retreat, distancing himself from the front lines.

Others dressed similarly were doing the same, using violent and bloody means to drive others forward.

The scene appeared chaotic, but it had some semblance of order.

Su Changxing frowned, sensing that this gathering place might be using some people as cannon fodder to wear down the Undead Tide. He

swung his hand, causing several ghostly lights to appear on the corpses in the Undead Tide, quickly forming humanoid shapes.

”Someone appeared in the Undead Tide!”

Someone spotted Su Changxing and shouted to the person next to them.

A young man, also in leather armor, with an exaggerated longsword on his back, looked towards Su Changxing’s location, and at the same time, Su Changxing looked at him.

No reason apart from standing out; among all these people, only he was an Extraordinary. This was also the first time Su Changxing had seen another Extraordinary from their world.

”Quite leisurely, huh.”

Su Changxing continuously dodged among the zombies, avoiding attacks, feeling a bit angry. He felt that as an Extraordinary, the other shouldn’t just sit back and watch.

Suddenly, hundreds of newly formed Evil Spirits appeared around him, carving out a large space amid the Undead Tide.

The probability of forming an Evil Spirit from an ordinary person’s remnant soul is low, perhaps not even one in ten, but given the massive number of deaths here, and that these people died in pain, the likelihood of Evil Spirits being born was significantly increased.

The appearance of a massive number of ghostly entities didn’t instill fear in these people. At this moment, the ghosts seemed more endearing than their kin behind them.

The Evil Spirits were highly combative, and their emergence quickly turned the tide of an already lost battle. Due to the distraction of the Monkey King, the following zombies weren’t as densely packed.

The face of the Extraordinary suddenly changed, becoming somewhat sullen. He wasn’t afraid of the Undead Tide; even if the gathering place fell, he could escape alone, which wasn’t a big deal.

However, the unexpected arrival of Su Changxing completely caught him off guard. He assumed that Su Changxing was an Extraordinary, and a strong one at that.

Su Changxing raised his Steel Saber and shouted, ”Everyone follow me to push these zombies out of here.”

Many people rushed forward without hesitation, as they had no other path, and fighting might just let them survive.

Su Changxing’s appearance was a surprise, but also a beacon of hope for them.

The Undead Tide was now firmly held back, with many Evil Spirits lost, but even more were being born.

Su Changxing felt a sharp, piercing pain from the back of his head, a result of too many Evil Spirits, surpassing what he could control.

Still, it wasn’t a big issue for the short term. He could bear it.

The Extraordinary in the gathering place stood with his hands on his hips, watching the scene unfold from a high vantage point, still uninterested in joining the battle, as if it had nothing to do with him.

Someone next to him looked at him and said, ”Leader Lin, that person is very powerful. The Undead Tide has been completely held back. If we go now, we can definitely hold the position.”

The young Extraordinary smirked coldly, saying, ”If it can be held, why should we go? Let’s wait and see the situation first.”
