Niekawa is self-aware he is a troublesome man, but does not think he is a unique existence either.

If searching men who can ’present bitter words so as to become for the other party precisely because infatuated’ like Niekawa should be found as much as wanted. Among them there would surely be those stronger than Niekawa, those with financial power, those with authority.

But she saw light in the man named Niekawa Kazuki and took that hand. Not someone superior to Niekawa Kazuki existing somewhere, she took the hand of one man existing here now.

Precisely because of that Niekawa trusted her. Return trust with trust, basics of human relationships.

”...But what are you?”

Having interacted with Atel Octo several times, having been freed from the so-called restraint. ’Because that guy is weak search another guy’.

What is that, screwing around.

Of course if this were a conclusion the parties themselves were convinced of there would have been no problem.

That the Vigilante is weaker than Sacred or Monster Villains suited to combat is a thing even Niekawa understands. The person himself also understands that, and if saying he wants to enter the shelter of someone stronger he would have nodded ”cannot be helped”.

But from hearing the talk this woman has not talked that to Atel Octo at all.

While thinking insufficient in power without cutting the relationship, without shouldering that much maybe to avoid risk, watching the combat betting one chance.

And she probably thought. Ah, as I thought lost.

However many times he says is that the attitude of one who wants to be saved.

”If wanting to be saved, if wanting help, show sincerity to the other party. Since unable to do that you are ’eternally remaining unsaved’.”

That was probably her reverse scale.

Together with impact the vision flows. Being slammed to the ground and the neck gripped by a small hand was almost simultaneous.

A small hand unfitting the appearance. But the grip strength is that of outside human. Meki-meki, meri-meri, a sound of the neck creaking rings.

”What can you...!”

”Gu. Nothing I understand, decided...! You still have not exposed the inside of the abdomen. And on top of that? Discern my pitiful heart? ...Ridiculous beyond! If acting a tragic heroine do alone, do not involve others just met...!”

There was probably a reason.

A reason to fear, to cower.

Dispersing risk, making an escape route is also not wrong.

That itself try to think pitiful.

But as the logic ’if a pitiful personal history anything is fine’ does not pass. Niekawa simply disliked the way of being of the woman named Mouse.

And more than anything this woman looked down on him who continues facing while trembling.

Cutting as unable to save herself with that degree without that much assistance, arbitrarily disappointed ’as I thought lost’.

Ah, yes. Niekawa is angry.

As one of those saved by him that day. The appearance of this woman who was saved in another form unforgivable.

”...! But! If!”

The hand gripping the neck, the fingers trying to crush the grip, he pulls by force.

Of course not a difference in physical ability of a degree that somehow with that.

But a slight gap opened. Of course that is because Mouse is not putting out seriousness, if more power put the neck would be crushed together with the gripped hand.

But that is fine.

If able to put out voice with that.

”If you still wish to be saved. Go to Atel Octo!”

Staring Mouse’s eyes straight he shouts.

Ah, he got angry at her action. That is fact.

But at the same time he could speculate she stopped because she worried something, suffered.

”If wishing to be saved break away from the current self. Is it a time to take it out on the likes of me!”

He is weak, that is fact.

But could one only weak, an existence only possessing knowledge of the so-called determined future, have continued fighting until here?

Niekawa thinks no.

What has supported him until here is the power of that will.

Trembling, worrying, even so power from going forward.

That maybe not physical power.

Maybe not power that slaughters the enemy before the eyes.

But power that creates a far stronger larger flow than that kind of thing.

In fact a man saved by him is here now.

The man Mouse chose as an opponent to flatter was saved by the large flow named Atel Octo. 𝐟𝑟ⅇ

”Exhaust words, have cooperation. After that if so I will lend power of my degree as much as wanted.”

He does not know what kind of salvation she is seeking.

But suppose.

If the one here was someone possessing overwhelming power, if that someone pulverizes all enemies. As a result does the so-called salvation she seeks visit?

An existence that does not even take all obstacles in the teeth, mows everything with one touch of armor sleeve beside, can she be relieved?

The answer is surely no.

She would surely continue flattering that overwhelming someone.

While praying the tip does not turn to herself or precious someone. She would continue putting on a superficial smile.

But that him at least would not become that kind of ending.

The Vigilante Atel Octo’s heart is middle path if saying well, vulgar ordinary person if saying bad.

He does not think that kind of him works unreasonable imitation on the existence named Mouse. Maybe angry at being arbitrarily given up and does a bit of mean, but he would not do an imitation that cannot be recovered.

”...The logic he is ordinary even I who cannot fight understand. But precisely because that kind of him the figure desperately moving shines, creates a large swell I think.”

Because understanding not an absolute existence, only an existence that flies if blown.

Because that kind of him is desperate he thinks ’myself also’.

Before he noticed power had vanished from Mouse’s arm.

While slowly peeling her hand Niekawa puts on a smile.

”Therefore do not worry. I do not say. Since entrusting life the logic the opponent to cling to better strong I also understand.”

Therefore worry as much as you like, supplement the insufficient places.

Niekawa is Earth’s human. Remora or Calmate, other other-world things. Since no knowledge he cannot assist Atel Octo.

But the woman in front knows that.

Then no problem.

”Better save him, be saved by him. In the first place whether human or outside human living things are things that mutually supplement, right? If wanting to be saved, if wanting to live happily, not enter a strong one’s umbrella but should walk together with someone I think.”

One better than alone, three better than two. Simple logic anyone understands.

Saying that Niekawa removes Mouse who was on top and slowly stands.

He exhausted words in his own way.

Then no more reason to be here.

On the back of Niekawa starting to walk silently Mouse slowly asks.

”...What are you going to do?”

”I go do what I can. Even if unable to fight there should be things I can do.”

Without turning, without stopping the steps he answers.

Combat sounds are ringing. Now he does not know how the battle situation is moving, but there is no way fine to be at ease.

”...Is this power necessary?”

In that kind of a metallic sound kashari rang.

That is the curved sword Mouse showed just now. Holding that which shows ominous beauty in hand she slowly starts talking.

”This sword’s inscription is.”

...Niekawa knew that inscription. The myth that sword comes out from.

Among that myth system a rare RPG-like weapon. A sword that ruins the one who handles.

Normally thinking a weapon that should not be used. Curse weapons of RPG are somewhat better.

But precisely because there is a demerit it is powerful.

In the first place if Niekawa who is only a human fights he must bear corresponding risk.

”Apology. Though ominous for that. You, what do you want to do?”

Unlike the time of first meeting he thinks she is asking from the heart.

She talked the demerit. Also taught originally should not handle.

But if even so.

If even so power is necessary for someone’s sake. She wants him to receive this sword.

”I will receive. No problem. Spirit and guts I do not lose that much. That side also seems the abdomen decided.”

”Yes... do not die? This world’s logic does not recognize an existence like you.”

’A logic eliminated from that kind of man’ Mouse talks.

A logic completely hard to understand, but he understood she is spitting those words from the heart.

Then.

”Only surpass that so-called logic. Of course even if impossible alone I believe not only me is resisting in this town.”

Saying that Niekawa ran out.

While gripping the hilt strongly strongly putting resolve and determination.
