Tentacle Monster Reincarnation: I Will Protect the Heroines

Livy’s gaze and Alter’s gaze intersect, rewrite the mind with the power of charm. Your number one is this Livy Ido, now offer, offer, offer...!

”Fool. Did you think I face you without any countermeasure.”

”Probably...!”

The result is resist.

But that is fine.

In other words current Alter is concentrating on countermeasure to this side’s charm. Strengthening of the magic he uses is neglected.

If short-chant magic he should be able to receive with specs as a Magician Diabolic.

Then she can win.

If great magic using a long chant he could probably kill Livy even under this situation, but that kind of opening he will not expose.

With this hair pierce that guy’s throat.

”’Wind blade, cut.’”

Right before that a swift wind cut off Livy’s hair.

Astonishment floats on her face.

Strange, that magic had no great preliminary action. It does not seem prepared in advance either, and does not seem strengthening magic with equipment.

Yes. The magic exercised just now she did not feel great magical power.

Originally she would not lose to that degree of magic. She would have shattered the wind blade and smashed Alter’s skull.

And yet reality is the reverse.

”Did you think I face you without any countermeasure. I said so, already forgotten? A convenient head.”

Alter makes the black clothes flutter and gazes at Livy with a red one eye.

In that instant what Livy chose was defense. She pulls back the severed hair and wraps it on the right arm to make a shield.

Alter has nullified charm with some means, and at the same time is also aiming at magical-power strengthening.

Then what she should choose is not attack nor flight but defense.

Because Adre has gone to call Knight. Before long Sacred appears.

She does not know what kind of strengthening, but there is no way he can win head-on against that Sacred.

And now no sign of ambush around, and non-combatants are already evacuated. He cannot nullify Sacred either.

Therefore what Livy should do is hold Alter here. If not taken non-combatants as hostages that Sacred will somehow everything...!

”Curse your own shallow thought. ’Flowing water, pierce.’”

She knows, because Livy can also handle magic of darkness to some degree.

A magic of shooting compressed liquid at high speed and piercing with that.

High speed, and also piercing power, but not that high power. Sharp to a degree able to pierce lined combatants together, but insufficient power to pierce a Magician Diabolic’s skin.

If taken in a defenseless state aside, currently solidifying defense she does not think she gets injured with that degree of magic.

(Fool...!?)

Trying to mock-laugh she twisted her face at a chill.

That is a thing she felt in the fight just now. Even though victory was before her eyes, the chill she felt at the instant almost all the pieces she was charming started antagonizing as a result of charming only one.

All cells shout ’you mistook the choice’ and start trembling at the premonition of defeat.

Flowing water is shot.

A sharp water blade closes.

Not scary, an attack she should easily prevent. Even if strengthened with some means now concentrating on defense she should prevent.

Reason told so.

But the body was honest.

Not reason instinct executed avoidance action, and faster than that flowing water arrives.

The arm protected by sturdy and flexible hair has a hole open like shoji paper, gouges the breast, severs the ribs, grazes the heart and pierces.

”Ka. fu, u...!?”

”Hou, did you learn from defeat. Compared to Koito you are wise.”

Alter looked down at collapsing Livy with a cold gaze.

The body trembles at that gaze.

(If I intended to receive, with the blow just now the heart would have been shot through...!)

Power low yet piercing power high. That degree of magic, that should be.

And yet what is this current state?

She cannot understand. She does not understand the meaning.

If he possessed overwhelming real ability like Gain she can understand, but the Magician Diabolic named Alter Native should not possess specs that far.

”But if unable to connect to next there is no meaning. Die here.”

Faster than Livy recovers from confusion Alter quietly did the finishing.

Purple lightning is released from the charging right arm. That not even doing chant originally would not be an effective one blow against a Magician Diabolic.

But she understands from the blow just now that kind of speculation is meaningless.

Avoidance does not make it. From the effect just now defense is also meaningless. Therefore she dies here.

”Un. Not yet!”

A human shadow that fell at high speed.

Vigilante Adre held Livy and jumped again. While visually confirming lightning piercing the ground and shaving the two took distance from Alter.

”...Without even taking a hostage prioritized her murder. Livy Ido’s survival seems very inconvenient.”

While going forward as if sheltering Livy Adre quietly readied a fist.

◇

(Taking an attack is bad.)

Adre who judged in an instant punched the garden with a grown right fist.

Together with a roar the ground flips up, and dust winds around the surroundings.

While crushing the other party’s vision he grows his own hearing.

From the dust Alter’s chanting voice is heard. But from the other party this side’s movement is not seen.

Does he intend to attack together with a wide-range attack? In that case to be able to flee holding Livy he grows arm strength and running power focused.

(If I specialize fully in defense I think I can become sturdier than Livy Ido, but not dramatically sturdy compared to a Magician Diabolic.)

He glances at the hole pierced in her arm and chest.

Seeing that hole that would have been pierced in one blow he could not think at all he can receive.

Head-on fight is disadvantageous.

Then how to seal the other party’s attack while this side attacks one-sidedly.

(Hide in the dust and attack...!)

He grows the right hand’s claws, breaks midway, and threw as an impromptu throwing weapon.

He knows the location. Because the grown hearing accurately recognizes Alter’s breathing, heartbeat.

The flown claws eat through Alter.

”...There.”

Impact sound.

The instant blocked ringing a gakin sound Alter advanced.

Cutting through the dust this way. Toward Adre and Livy.

From the attack just now the location was exposed. But no problem. Holding Livy flee.

”’Atmosphere, vibrate.’”

In that instant a powerful sound wave was slammed on the grown hearing.

Large, but a sound of a degree only surprising the other party a little. Originally even using at this kind of timing there is no meaning.

”A. ku...!?”

Except Adre who had largely grown hearing.

Seen through.

What kind of ability Adre has, how he will operate. Analyzed, researched, nullified with little effort.

(Bad.)

He understood his own failure.

Adre, Gahel Wayne, unlike the sickly body a little while ago became able to do various things.

The body got sturdy, and he also obtained ability different from others as a Vigilante. He could also execute means Sacred cannot without hesitation.

Precisely because of that he probably got conceited. Holding here himself, he can do that.

Yes, conceit.

Being able to use means Sacred cannot is a strength, but doing that to Alter who has been doing that from far before only gets crushed by the difference in experience.

There was no logic of matching Alter who would have pre-investigated the ability of the existence named Adre without carelessness.

He hurriedly goes to shelter Livy but already late.

”...I will stop you here, Alter Native.”

In that instant flames were slammed in the dust.

When the painful both ears are wrapped in flames the function gradually recovers.

That is a fierce attack that burns enemies to ashes, and holy flames that warm allies who should be protected.

A holy knight wrapped in heavy white-silver armor over a crimson corset dress. Sacred Knight, Adre’s sister.

She who stood side by side beside himself quietly readied the holy sword Galatina.
