Beast Taming: I Can Add Points

With that, Shao Ya gave Su Zhi no chance to continue, darting back into her tent like a little rabbit.

Two seconds later, a snore rang out.

Su Zhi’s stern expression immediately broke into a laugh.

‘That was so fake. She doesn’t even snore…’

‘Damn it, she’s totally cheating. I was only halfway through my point when she went back, pulled the blanket over her head, and conked out. ‘As long as I’m asleep, I’m in another dimension that automatically deflects all criticism,’ is that it?’

Su Zhi had a sudden urge to go in and drag her out.

His tongue subconsciously grazed his lips. He narrowed his eyes, a lingering sense of dissatisfaction in them, but he didn’t go in.

‘Forget it.’

‘Considering the freebie she gave me, I’ll let her off the hook this time~’

“A-woo!” Yu Bao tugged impatiently at his pant leg.

“Alright, alright.” Su Zhi turned back, slightly annoyed.

‘Yu Bao is so clueless. Can’t it see I was busy with important business? Getting cozy with a pretty girl is way better than watching it show off…’

However, the moment his gaze landed on Yu Bao, Su Zhi couldn’t tear his eyes away.

Pet Beast: Yu Bao (Yu Dian Farm Dog)

Power: 1.30

agility: 2.26

Intelligence: 4.19

Constitution: 1.42

Perception: 4.90—5.25

Real-time Energy Value 7300

At this moment, Yu Bao was still in its Earth and Gold Element second form, but faint crimson flames now swirled around it—this was the Flame unique to the original Yu Dian Dogs!

Su Zhi’s eyes lit up. “Don’t tell me you can already master Fire Element Energy in this form?”

“A-woo!” Yu Bao nodded eagerly.

‘Actually, it should have been possible all along.’

When it first awakened its Gold Element Energy, its body was still of the Earth and Fire Dual Element type. In other words, these two opposing Attributes didn’t conflict while coexisting within it.

The reason the elements had felt as incompatible as fire and water was probably just that its control over its own power wasn’t refined enough. To put it bluntly, it was just too green.

But after that, as Su Zhi continuously added points, Yu Bao’s abilities grew in tandem. Eventually, this quantitative increase led to a qualitative leap, changing the situation.

Sure enough, when Yu Bao switched to its Earth and Fire Dual Element form, with a mere thought, metal particles instantly condensed around it. The use of Gold Element Energy was almost completely unaffected in this state!

The only real difference was that when it used a third attribute while in a dual-attribute form, the effect would be a tier weaker.

Furthermore, when using a Core Skill, the third attribute wouldn’t receive any amplification. For example, when Yu Bao used Yanhuang Blessing, its Gold Element Energy wouldn’t be enhanced.

That wasn’t a big issue, though. After all, if Yu Bao wanted to use a Pure Gold or Pure Fire Element Skill, it would be much better to just switch forms. Doing otherwise would be pointless.

The greatest significance of having the power of all three Attributes available simultaneously was that it gave Yu Bao far more room for creative shenanigans.

“A-woo! A-woo! A-woo!” Yu Bao excitedly summoned sand and Flame.

Fortunately, Su Zhi’s tent was near the edge of the camp. Otherwise, the Alliance Members they woke up would probably rush out and beat them to death.

“Yu Bao, what is this?”

Seeing the sand, metal, and Flame in mid-air take the shape of a Battle Saber, Su Zhi already had a good idea of what was happening.

‘Given Yu Bao’s usual antics, this must be the three-Attribute version of Furious Sand Blade, right?’

‘I wonder what over-the-top name it’ll come up with this time…’

But Su Zhi really couldn’t make heads or tails of it. He didn’t see the point of this new Skill.

‘Using the Earth and Fire elements together was one thing. Although they were considered conflicting Attributes, that combination was a traditional Evolutionary Type for the Yu Dian Farm Dog. Under Yu Bao’s skilled control, they could operate independently without affecting the overall might.’

‘But putting the Gold and Fire elements together was another matter entirely.’

‘Pet Beasts with both these Attributes existed in the natural world, but Skills that combined the two were exceedingly rare.’

‘The defining traits of the Gold Element were toughness and sharpness, and this was true for most Gold Element Skills. But under the influence of the Fire Element, these traits would be severely diminished, if not nullified entirely. It would actually be weaker than a single-Attribute attack.’

Before Su Zhi could figure it out, Yu Bao had already summoned an Earth and Gold Dual Element Yellow Earth Wall. Judging by its shimmering golden surface, it had clearly been reinforced with Thick Earth Golden Might.

The classic test dummy.

The three-Attribute Furious Sand Blade had already taken shape. Compared to its previous versions, the sand and Flame at its core seemed exceptionally dense, while surprisingly few metal particles floated around its periphery.

‘Wait a minute… Don’t tell me…?’

“SWOOSH!”

Before Su Zhi could react, the Furious Sand Blade shot forward, striking the Yellow Earth Wall.

The Furious Sand Blade hadn’t been reinforced with Thick Earth Golden Might, so upon impact, it was unsurprisingly stopped by the composite Yellow Earth Wall.

It was then that Su Zhi witnessed a sight that would blow his mind for the rest of the year:

A brilliant, thin line shot out from within the Furious Sand Blade, piercing straight through the Yellow Earth Wall like a hot knife through butter. A bright, silvery liquid splattered onto the nearby rubble, sizzling on contact.

A moment later, the liquid slowly solidified and darkened. Only then did Su Zhi realize it was all metal!

Then he finally understood what new trick Yu Bao had cooked up.

The core of Yu Bao’s new Furious Sand Blade was so dense because it was packed entirely with liquid metal, melted by the intense heat of the Flame!

Yu Bao had also formed an axially symmetrical, forward-facing concave cavity at the tip of the Furious Sand Blade. This way, when the blade hit a target, the force of the impact would converge toward the center. The cavity would then rapidly collapse inward along its axis, forcing the jet of molten metal to shoot forward, thereby achieving the goal of penetrating armor and breaking through defenses.

‘What the hell… Isn’t that the principle behind an Armor Piercing warhead?!’

“Fess up. When did you get so devious? Did Luo Sen teach you these bad habits?!”
