Beast Taming: I Can Add Points

Clara watched this scene unfold with great interest.

She wasn’t worried about Tuoba Jing causing any trouble. He was a powerful Beastmaster, true, but that was all.

In a little while, his Pet Beasts would be exhausted from the prolonged, high-intensity battle. And facing this many Earthquake Beasts, any sign of fatigue would be a fatal opening.

However, when Clara turned her gaze to Su Zhi, she began to feel unsettled.

If Tuoba Jing was the model of a classical Beastmaster, then Su Zhi’s Pet Beasts were bursting with postmodern flair.

Or perhaps... abstract.

”Awoof!”

Under Yu Bao’s control, vast swaths of land were instantly covered in outlines of flowing magma. Countless Earthquake Beasts were suddenly exposed to the scorching heat.

Compared to the Earth Force Field, which could only alter the terrain, the Magma Force Field—with its added burning effect—was naturally far more lethal.

The magma flowing on the ground made contact with the soles of the Earthquake Beasts’ feet, producing a sizzling sound as faint white smoke rose. While the larger Earthquake Beasts remained unaffected, the smaller ones collapsed instantly from the intense heat.

Earthquake Beasts relied on the soles of their feet to draw Power from the earth, which naturally made them the most vulnerable part of their bodies.

Other attacks struggled to reach their feet, but the Magma Force Field struck them directly!

The Earthquake Beasts killed by the Magma Force Field were the smallest of the lot. Even so, this significantly reduced the pressure on the battlefield. After all, any gamer knows you have to clear the trash mobs before taking on the elites.

Against the larger Earthquake Beasts, Yu Bao launched targeted strikes. A Quicksand Shield blocked an Earthquake Beast’s advance, while a Golden Sand Battle Saber took the opportunity to flank it, plunging deep into its body!

Clara was astonished to find that the tough, sturdy Earthquake Beasts were like paper before Yu Bao’s Golden Sand Battle Saber, and they were reaped with ease. It clearly wasn’t an exceptionally powerful Skill, yet it demonstrated an abnormal level of might when used against Earthquake Beasts.

It was as if Yu Bao was born to be their natural counter!

While Yu Bao was putting on a show, Wu Bao was also on a rampage.

Although the two were still competing with each other, their division of labor on the battlefield was remarkably clear. Yu Bao focused on clearing out the small and medium-sized Earthquake Beasts, while Wu Bao targeted the largest ones.

”ROAR—”

”HNNNG!”

While Yu Bao was clearing away the small fry, a nearly three-meter-tall Earthquake Beast had somehow circled around behind him and was lunging with a roar.

But before its roar could fade, a savage and immense force struck from the flank. The Earthquake Beast felt its center of gravity vanish as its body went flying, its vision tumbling.

Wu Bao had rammed its gleaming horns into the Earthquake Beast, piercing straight through it.

The enormous Earthquake Beast was sent flying like a fiercely kicked ball, hurtling straight toward Clara.

’What in the world is going on?!’

Clara shredded the approaching Earthquake Beast with a single swipe of her claw, her eyes twitching, unsettled.

And while she was fending it off, Wu Bao had already resumed its exhilarating slaughter.

Wu Bao was quite heavy, and the cavern was far less open than the surface, greatly limiting its ability to build momentum for a charge. Logically, these conditions should have been disadvantageous for a Black Fighting Emperor.

And in fact, that was true... before Wu Bao put points into agility.

After the points were added, Wu Bao’s coordination and flexibility increased, allowing it to move with ease even in the cramped space and to maximize its use of the terrain for acceleration.

Now, Wu Bao could launch a Puncture of the same Power with less than half the original charging distance!

In extreme situations, Wu Bao could even produce an effect similar to ”Inch Force,” instantly accelerating over an extremely short distance to deliver a swift and devastating blow.

”Hmph!”

After running through one Earthquake Beast, Wu Bao spun gracefully. Its long horns swept around like a windmill, sending several more Earthquake Beasts flying.

It wasn’t just strong against elites; it was also a rock-solid mob clearer!

”Awoof?” Yu Bao shot him a look.

’The great Wu Bao is snatching up these little Earthquake Beasts? Can’t handle the big ones anymore?’

’Just say the word, and your big bro will handle them for you~’

”Hmph!” Hearing this, Wu Bao was instantly fired up and stomped off huffily to continue farming the elite monsters.

Meanwhile, flashes of Golden Light flickered across the battlefield. Though not as conspicuous, they were just as indispensable.

Shan Bao was, in fact, the steadiest of them all.

The combination of the Hardening and Super Heavy Gold Fall Skills gave her absurd Defense Power. Not a single Earthquake Beast on the field could inflict any effective damage on her.

And yet, Shan Bao could leverage her formidable physique to topple the much larger Earthquake Beasts.

Driven by this intense internal rivalry, the two Pet Beasts were surprisingly as effective as a whole squad of them. It reached the point where not a single Earthquake Beast could be seen within a ten-meter radius of Su Zhi.

But clearing out Earthquake Beasts wasn’t Shan Bao’s main job.

As an agile tank, she often took advantage of her invulnerability, swaggering right up to the Earthquake Beasts before activating Flash Gold Teleportation to make a ”home delivery.” Great Earthquake Beasts were teleported to Wu Bao, while smaller ones were tossed to Yu Bao.

Clara watched, speechless.

’Why is that Black Fighting Emperor so agile? Why are they using Flash Gold Teleportation like it’s free? Why can that mutt just roast Earthquake Beasts to death? I just tested them with a Great Earthquake Beast yesterday! They weren’t this outrageous, were they?’

’Wait, I’m the one ambushing you! Why are you fighting like you’re on an assembly line?!’

The valiant fighting of Su Zhi’s Pet Beasts also indirectly lessened the pressure on Tuoba Jing’s side. Seeing their allies’ prowess, his own, somewhat fatigued Pet Beasts had their Spirit renewed.
