Fairy Tail: Collapsing Stars

Chapter 486: Jellal: Apart from Fairy Tail, no one in this world dares to call themselves the strongest!

”Senior Precht, please calm down!”

Bluenote looked at Precht, who was about to release Devilʼs Law with a wave of his hand, cold sweat pouring down his forehead.

Perhaps because they were unfamiliar with Precht, the others did not know exactly what Prechtʼs Devilʼs Law was, but Bluenote had spent more than ten years with Precht. He knew far too well what kind of magic Prechtʼs Devilʼs Law was...

”This is the Devilʼs Law that Senior Precht improved upon the foundation of Fairy Law, one of Fairy Tailʼs Three Great Magics?! If this magic is activated, Iʼm afraid both Bluenote and I will be instantly judged!”

Jura was just as flustered as Bluenote at this moment.

The Amaterasu Formula that Precht had originally used had already caused Jura immense suffering...

However, Devilʼs Law was a Super Magic that was a hundred times more terrifying in power than Prechtʼs Amaterasu Formula!

At this moment, Jura would rather Precht continue using the Amaterasu Formula against him and Bluenote.

”It appeared! That magic really appeared...”

”I never thought Senior Precht would actually use that legendary magic!”

”Thatʼs right, ladies and gentlemen, you didnʼt see wrong! The magic currently appearing before everyone is the magic that Senior Precht, the second Guild Master of Fairy Tail, improved upon the foundation of Fairy Law among Fairy Tailʼs Three Great Magics: Fairy Law, Fairy Glitter, and Fairy Sphere!”

”According to legend, Fairy Law, one of Fairy Tailʼs Three Great Magics, is a holy demon-purging type of magic. Using the legendary holy light, it judges all darkness in the world, regarding everything that the caster considers an enemy deep within their heart as a target to be destroyed, thereby completely defeating the opponent both physically and mentally... It is a genuine Super Magic! Even powerhouses at the level of the Ten Wizard Saints cannot escape beneath the radiance of this holy judgment!”

”As for the Devilʼs Law that Senior Precht is currently using, it is said to be a magic that reverses the attributes of Fairy Law, using endless darkness to stain all the white in the world! Its effects are completely no weaker than Fairy Law, and in certain aspects, it is even superior to Fairy Law!”

”Then, can the only two remaining contestants in our arena besides Senior Precht, Contestant Bluenote and Contestant Jura, withstand Senior Prechtʼs Devilʼs Law? Let us wait and see!”

Host Pumpkin, holding a microphone in his hand, spoke excitedly to the spectators in the arena.

”Itʼs actually the legendary Super Magic!”

”So amazing...”

”I wonder if Jura can block it!”

”It should be fine, right? After all, Jura is also the holder of the title of Ten Wizard Saints.”

For a moment, the spectators in the arena all praised it in awe, despite not understanding it.

Although the spectators around the grandstand currently did not quite understand the power of Fairy Law, looking at the expressions of Bluenote and Jura as though they were facing a formidable enemy, they also understood the power of Prechtʼs move.

Therefore, the spectators all watched the arena without blinking, everyone curious about how Jura, who was also one of the Ten Wizard Saints like Precht, and Bluenote, who possessed strength no weaker than that of a Ten Wizard Saint, would deal with Prechtʼs Super Magic.

”Phew...”

Just as everyone in the arena was nervously watching Jura and Bluenote confronting Precht on the battlefield, Jura and Bluenote, who were directly facing the pressure brought by Prechtʼs Devilʼs Law, finally sighed helplessly.

”We surrender!”

Yes, after Jura and Bluenote exchanged a glance, the two chose to surrender.

”What?! Did I hear that correctly? Contestant Jura and Contestant Bluenote actually chose to surrender?”

At this moment, Pumpkin, who was serving as both commentator and host, was startled after hearing Jura and Bluenoteʼs words. He then held the microphone and loudly asked.

”We surrendered... Sure enough, although I am also one of the Ten Wizard Saints like Senior Precht, the difference in strength is simply too great. We are completely no match for him!”

Jura sighed. Although he really wanted to have a head-on battle with Precht, and also wanted to test exactly how powerful the Fairy Law used by Precht was, Jura did not dare to gamble. He was afraid that once Precht activated Devilʼs Law in the arena, it would ultimately lead to a result that nobody wanted to see.

”Phew...”

As for Bluenote, his thoughts were more or less the same as Juraʼs. The difference was that he had never intended to forcibly withstand Prechtʼs Devilʼs Law from the very beginning. In Bluenoteʼs eyes, only an idiot would choose to try to receive Prechtʼs Devilʼs Law head-on. That thing was absolutely not something one should take head-on! It could kill someone...

”A wise choice!”

Precht smiled slightly at this and withdrew the Devilʼs Law he had cast.

In fact, Precht had never intended to truly release this move. He was merely frightening Jura and Bluenote, making these two little brats retreat after recognizing the difficulty...

As for the reason Precht did not intend to use Devilʼs Law~

It was simply because the conditions required to completely cast Devilʼs Law were exactly the same as those for Fairy Law. Precht had to genuinely regard Jura and Bluenote as enemies from the bottom of his heart for it to be successfully cast. Otherwise, it would merely be like a gentle breeze brushing against the face, with negligible power...

If he really used Devilʼs Law at that time and ended up wasting it, that would truly be embarrassing!

”Heh heh...” Thinking of this, Precht could not help laughing. He thought to himself: ”There canʼt be any idiot in this world who doesnʼt even know the basic conditions required to activate Devilʼs Law or Fairy Law, yet recklessly uses them and ends up not eliminating a single person while needlessly wasting magic power, right? There canʼt be someone like that, right?!”

After Prechtʼs wild thoughts for a while, he left everyone with a cool back view, then flew toward his seat in the guest section...

”This is truly astonishing! I imagine none of us expected that the final result would actually be decided by Mr. Jura and Mr. Bluenote surrendering... But regardless, this battle has already ended!”

”Then let us congratulate Senior Precht on successfully taking the championship of the first match on the first day of the Grand Magic Games! And congratulations to the Guest Team for accumulating a high score of seven points in this match...”

”At the same time, apart from Senior Precht, who successfully won the match and accumulated seven points, and the Mage from Sabertooth who was the first to be eliminated and therefore received no points, the elimination times of some contestants were nearly identical! We will discuss this and provide a reasonable ruling. If the final result differs from what the spectators expected in their hearts, we also hope everyone can understand! I believe our judging panelʼs rulings are all precise and error-free, and absolutely impartial...”

Seeing that the match had ended, Pumpkin continued commentating with the microphone in hand.

”Eh...”

As Pumpkinʼs voice fell, the spectators all made confused noises.

”Itʼs already over?!”

”I even took my clothes off, and this is what you show me?!”

”Surrender? How can you surrender? Do you know how much money I bet on you?!”

”What about the promised Super Magic? Release it!”

Clearly, the spectators did not seem to buy it, and everyone began complaining.

”Refund! Refund!”

Among them, some spectators even shouted loudly, attempting to demand that Pumpkin return their money.

”Soldiers, quickly kick out those few people demanding refunds and lock them in prison! This is outrageous! They actually dare to ask me for a refund. Are they trying to rebel?!”

Faced with this, the fair and righteous Pumpkin pursed his lips and looked disdainfully at those foolish commoners who had led the cries for refunds.

”You few demanding refunds, come with us...”

After receiving Pumpkinʼs orders, the soldiers immediately went to those citizens who had taken the lead in shouting for refunds.

”On what grounds are you arresting us?!”

”Do you think that just because youʼre knights, you can act without restraint?!”

”We did nothing wrong! Iʼm going to complain to the King!”

Clearly, the citizens did not take these soldiers seriously. These citizens believed that justice was on their side!

”Heh!”

The soldiers lightly laughed at this. Were they supposed to tell these citizens that it was the King himself who had sent them to arrest people?!

”Sigh...”

”Sure enough, Iʼm usually too incorruptible, and as a result, these citizens all think Iʼm a good king!”

”What a pity! I am a foolish king...”

At this, Old Toma, standing on the battlefield, looked at the citizens being taken away one after another by his soldiers, showing an expression of pain.

The citizensʼ resistance did not have any crucial effect. Soon, under the organization of the soldiers, all the citizens who had shouted about wanting refunds were shackled and taken away...

Old Toma decided to release these fellows after the Grand Magic Games ended. Before then, he would first let these citizens who shouted about refunds at the slightest opportunity reflect in prison for a few days.

After those citizens who had shouted loudly and demanded refunds from Pumpkin mysteriously disappeared, the spectator stands of the arena finally became quiet and obedient...

Although the citizens were still dissatisfied in their hearts, they endured it. After all, the current situation was not optimistic!

Elsewhere...

Jellal, Precht, Warrod, Hyberion, and Wolfheim were watching the recording, evaluating the previous match...

Yes, although Jellal and the others were also contestants in the Grand Magic Games, at the same time, they were also guests and judges of this yearʼs Grand Magic Games.

”Apart from Senior Precht taking first place and Orga Nanagear, the Mage from Sabertooth, taking last place! How about giving second place to Bluenote? After all, he is from the Mage Guild that Senior Precht newly established. Besides, I believe Bluenote is slightly stronger than Jura, so presumably he could last a little longer in front of Senior Precht...”

With a fair and impartial attitude, Jellal decided to give second place to Bluenote, Prechtʼs fellow Guild member.

Of course, Jellal giving second place to Bluenote was truly not because he was looking at Prechtʼs face, but because he was looking at the fact that Precht was also a member of Fairy Tail.

”What do you all think?!”

As for this, Precht, being someone connected to Bluenote, chose to avoid suspicion and did not express an opinion. Instead, he asked the people around him.

”Good!”

”Not bad...”

”Fine!”

In response to Prechtʼs inquiry, Warrod, Hyberion, and Wolfheim all nodded, expressing their agreement.

”For third place, naturally give it to Jura of Lamia Scale. Speaking of which, Jura is also quite close to Fairy Tail, so it can be considered well deserved!”

”For fourth place, I think the captain of Fiore Kingdomʼs Rune Knights is quite suitable! Speaking of which, His Majesty Old Toma is also a member of our Fairy Tail Guild. Letting the captain of the Rune Knights take fourth place can not only take care of His Majesty Old Tomaʼs face, but also count as looking after an unofficial member of our Fairy Tail Guild...”

”For fifth place, give it to Macbeth! Hmph, this brat fought far too disgracefully in this match, embarrassing our Council and Fairy Tail. After we return, we must make him train twice as hard.”

”For sixth place, let Blue Pegasusʼs Ichiya have it. The Mage Guild Blue Pegasus usually makes fairly good donations to our Council. Giving him sixth place can also be considered an explanation!”

”As for Four Hound... Although the Guild Master of Four Hound, Goldmine, can be considered a friend of Senior Makarov, the Guild Master of our guild, and Goldmine was once also a member of our guild, Four Hound is too shabby. Its usual contributions to our Council and Fairy Tail are insufficient, so it can only be ranked seventh!”

”And then there is Sabertooth. We have never even heard of this guild before, and its connections with our Fairy Tail Guild are even fewer. Just put them at the bottom...”

With a fair and impartial attitude, Jellal gave an incomparably fair ranking to the performances of the contestants dispatched by the various Mage Guilds in the first match.

Jellal came to the Grand Magic Games to do only three things: fairness, fairness, and fucking fairness!

Jellal has come, and the Grand Magic Games has become fair. Jellal has come, and the magical world of Ishgar has become peaceful!

”This ranking is truly excellent!”

Warrod highly praised Jellalʼs ranking.

”Indeed, itʼs quite good!”

After thinking for a while, Precht also nodded, expressing his agreement.

”This...”

”...is truly quite good!”

Hyberion and Wolfheim exchanged a glance after hearing this, then nodded vigorously.

Speaking of which, this time Old Toma had not merely invited Hyberion and Wolfheim to participate in the Grand Magic Games...

After Hyberion and Wolfheim arrived, Warrod invited the two of them to join the Magic Council as Councilors. In other words, Hyberion and Wolfheim could now also be considered unofficial members of Fairy Tail Guild.

Therefore, Hyberion and Wolfheim would naturally not refute the decision made by Jellal and the others.

”Excellent! Since everyone agrees, we can have Pumpkin release this ranking...”

Precht smiled slightly at this.

”Sorry for keeping everyone waiting...”

”Just now, I received the latest information here!”

”Ho ho ho...”

”At present, our Grand Magic Games judging panel has already made a fair and impartial ruling!”

”The ruling is as follows...”

”The results of the Grand Magic Games, first day, first match battle royale are...”

”First place, Contestant Precht of the Guest Team, accumulating seven points!”

”Second place, Contestant Bluenote of the Mage Guild Grimoire Heart, accumulating six points!”

”Third place, Contestant Jura of the Mage Guild Lamia Scale, accumulating five points!”

”Fourth place, the captain of Fiore Kingdomʼs trump card knight order, the Rune Knights, accumulating four points!”

”Fifth place, Contestant Macbeth of the Magic Council ERAʼs trump card Mage team, accumulating three points!”

”Sixth place, Contestant Ichiya of the Mage Guild Blue Pegasus, accumulating two points!”

”Seventh place, Contestant Pacas of the Mage Guild Four Hound, accumulating one point!”

”And finally, last place, Contestant Orga Nanagear of the Mage Guild Sabertooth, receiving no points!”

Pumpkin loudly announced the final results he had received from Jellal to all the spectators present.

”As for this ruling, I wonder what Guest Jellal thinks about it, Pumpkin~”

After telling the spectators the results given by Jellal and the others, Pumpkin did not forget to direct the topic toward Jellal and the others.

”Through these results, we can actually see...”

”Those ranked near the top of the list are all Mage Guilds well known throughout the Fiore Kingdom, among which there are quite a few guilds connected to the worldʼs number one Mage Guild, Fairy Tail!”

”And the Mages who achieved good results are also famous powerhouses across the continent! As far as I know, both third-place Jura and second-place Bluenote have previously gone to the Mage Guild Fairy Tail to study. Sure enough, there are no weaklings beneath a famous reputation!”

”As for the Mage Guild Sabertooth, which passed the preliminaries this year like a dark horse, after fighting against true powerhouses, they still exposed their shortcomings...”

Jellal held the microphone in his hand and gave an analysis of the ranking he had decided.

Throughout it, Jellal continuously praised those guilds or Mages connected to the Mage Guild Fairy Tail...

To the point that everyone was completely unable to tell whether Jellal was praising the powerhouses ranked on the list, or using the resumes of these powerhouses to praise and promote the strength of Fairy Tail...

”What? Blue Pegasus is only sixth place?”

”Not bad. That bunch of gigolos from Blue Pegasus getting two points is already impressive! My favorite Four Hound only got one point...”

”How can those rough men from Four Hound compare with Blue Pegasus?!”

As Pumpkinʼs voice fell, the entire arena immediately became a mess, everyone constantly shouting because the contestants they favored had not achieved good results.

”Third place? This result is not bad either...”

Of course, apart from those dissatisfied with their results, there were also people who were extremely satisfied with theirs. For example, Lamia Scale was one of those who were extremely satisfied with their result.

”After all, that opponent was Senior Precht, the second-ranked among the Ten Wizard Saints. Mr. Jura did his best!”

At this moment, the Mages of Lamia Scale were not angry because their idol had only taken third place. They accepted the ruling given by Jellal and the others with smiles on their faces.

To be honest, the quality of the first match of the Grand Magic Games was truly too high. Everyone who appeared was a trump card of their respective guilds. People like Pacas and Ichiya were even famous throughout the entire Fiore Kingdom and even the magical world of Ishgar. Yet such powerhouses were merely at the bottom of the Grand Magic Games. Looking at it this way, Jura being able to rank near the top was truly quite impressive...

”As long as I havenʼt disappointed everyone!”

Jura merely smiled lightly at this. He believed that he had already done his best!

Although he felt a trace of regret about surrendering in the end and not finishing the battle with Precht, there was nothing he could do about it. Even if Precht had ultimately not used the Super Magic Devilʼs Law, Jura still had no confidence in defeating Precht.

As for Bluenote, Jura did not dare say that he could definitely win either. Jura himself could not say for certain who would win between him and Bluenote. Besides, Juraʼs purpose in participating in the Grand Magic Games this time was to fight various powerhouses and learn! He had not come for the rankings. His purpose was different from everyone elseʼs, so whether he ranked second or Bluenote ranked second, Jura did not care...

However, if there were people like Jura who did not care about their results, then naturally there were also people who cared very much about their results.

”I refuse to accept this!”

The newly appointed Guild Master of the Mage Guild Sabertooth was clearly dissatisfied with Jellal and the othersʼ arrangement. He stood up from the spectator stands, glared at Pumpkin, and spoke coldly.

Originally, this newly appointed Guild Master of Sabertooth was already full of anger. After hearing Jellalʼs evaluation, he became even more furious, burning with rage!

The newly appointed Guild Master of Sabertooth, Gemma, had already figured it out...

In reality, Jellal was simply targeting Sabertooth, just because among the eight most powerful Mage forces on the continent of Ishgar, they were the only ones who had absolutely no connection to that Fairy Tail!

This was also the reason Jellal was targeting Sabertooth...

”You refuse to accept it?!”

Jellal did not indulge Gemma in the slightest.

The moment Gemma said that he refused to accept it, Jellal flashed from the guest section to the spectator stands, arriving in front of Gemma and facing him directly as he coldly questioned him.

”Thatʼs right!”

”Our Sabertooth is the strongest in the world! You are targeting Sabertooth. You fear Sabertooth!”

Gemma coldly spoke to Jellal before him. At the same time, waves of murderous aura were released from his body, and purple magic power continuously emerged from him.

”What filthy magic power...”

In the guest section, Precht casually glanced at the troublemaking Gemma before frowning.

Gemmaʼs magic power made Precht somewhat disgusted and made him feel that it was incomparably filthy! This indicated that Gemmaʼs heart was in complete disorder, filled with negative emotions, and moreover, they were lowly emotions...

”Disgusting~”

Precht cursed at Gemma before closing his eyes and ignoring him.

To Precht, looking at Gemma one more time was an insult to himself...

As for the conflict between Gemma and Jellal, Precht was not worried at all. If Jellal could not even deal with a lowlife like Gemma, then he might as well stop staying in the position of a Ten Wizard Saint, and there would be no need for him to cultivate magic anymore. He might as well find some village and retire...

On the other side, in the spectator stands, Jellal stood in the spectator section of the Mage Guild Sabertooth, confronting the Guild Master of Sabertooth, Gemma, and the group of people belonging to the Mage Guild Sabertooth behind him...

”This is truly shocking!”

”It seems that Sabertoothʼs Guild Master Gemma is dissatisfied with the judging panelʼs ruling and has spoken disrespectfully to Mr. Jellal, who is one of the guests and judges! Right now, it seems that Mr. Jellal is reasoning with Gemma! It seems everything is becoming interesting...”

It had to be said that Old Toma knew how to fan the flames. He first pinned the label of someone looking for trouble on Gemma, then pinned the label of provoking Jellal on him. This caused all the spectators to believe that Gemma was in the wrong first. Under such circumstances, no matter how Jellal dealt with the Gemma incident afterward, it would be completely normal, because Gemma was the one who had made the first mistake~

”You said that your Sabertooth is the strongest Mage Guild in the world?!”

At the same time, Jellal did not care about Old Tomaʼs arrangements at all. Right now, he only wanted to ask Gemma one thing, and that was about what Gemma had just said regarding who was the strongest Mage Guild in the world.

”Of course! There simply is no guild in this world better or stronger than my Sabertooth!”

Gemma seriously nodded at this and looked at Jellal before him with a solemn expression.

”Ha ha ha...”

”Ignorant! Far too ignorant, like a frog at the bottom of a well!”

”Iʼm not targeting you. Iʼm saying that apart from Fairy Tail, no Mage Guild deserves to bear the title of strongest!”

After hearing Gemmaʼs words, Jellal laughed loudly. He looked at Gemma as if he were looking at a brainless clown.

”What did you say?! Say that again if you dare!”

After hearing Jellalʼs words, Gemma seemed to become angry. He instantly erupted with the magic power within his body and questioned Jellal.

”Thereʼs no need to say anything more!”

”Iʼve already said enough. Since you believe that the Sabertooth you belong to is the strongest Mage Guild in the world, then let us settle it with our hands! If your entire Sabertooth is defeated by me alone, then naturally you wonʼt have the face to call yourselves the strongest anymore, right?”

Jellal seemed to have become too lazy to continue saying anything to Gemma.

It was simply because Jellal knew clearly that speaking to a clown like Gemma was nothing but a waste of words. Only by making Gemma understand the difference in strength, using power to smash the arrogance in Gemmaʼs heart punch by punch, could Gemma understand how ridiculous his previous thoughts had been!

”Hmm? What did you say?”

Gemma was stunned when he heard this. He could not believe what Jellal had said, thinking that he must have heard wrong.

Jellal actually intended to challenge an entire Mage Guild by himself?

In Gemmaʼs view, even if Jellal was a Ten Wizard Saint, it was absolutely impossible for him to accomplish this...

Especially since, in Gemmaʼs view, the Sabertooth he belonged to was incomparably powerful!

”Enough nonsense. Come at me!”

Jellal did not continue talking to Gemma. He merely beckoned at Gemma with his finger, signaling him to attack.

”Ridiculous! Youʼre actually serious! Could it be that youʼve gone crazy?”

Looking at Jellalʼs appearance, Gemma finally understood that everything Jellal had said to him just now had actually been serious.

”Youʼre not attacking? Then Iʼll come!”

”Meteor...”

Seeing that Gemma had no intention of attacking, Jellalʼs body transformed into a golden light and charged straight toward Gemma.

”What?!”

Gemmaʼs expression suddenly changed when he saw Jellal transform into golden light. Jellal was too fast, so fast that even he could not see his figure clearly.

”Bang~”

Just as Gemma was shocked, he suddenly felt pain in his cheek. It turned out that Jellalʼs fist had already landed on his face.

”Boom!”

Accompanied by a roar, Jellalʼs fist, empowered by Meteor, directly sent Gemma flying.

”Ugh...”

With a muffled sound, before the group of Mages from Sabertooth even knew what had happened, their Guild Master Gemma had already collapsed on the ground, foaming at the mouth, his eyes gradually rolling upward. Clearly, Jellal had knocked him unconscious with a single punch, completely losing consciousness.

”Guild Master!!”

Only after Gemma had completely passed out did the Mages of Sabertooth react belatedly. Looking at their Guild Master, who had been knocked unconscious with a single punch, their faces were filled with panic.

”You have committed mistakes!”

”The first mistake is that you actually dared to say that the guild you belong to has surpassed Fairy Tail and is the strongest Mage Guild in the world.”

”The second mistake is that you actually dared to question the ruling of our Grand Magic Games judges.”

”Taking all of this into consideration, I must give you severe punishment here, as a warning to the others!”

As the Mages of Sabertooth panicked, Jellal floated in midair with his hands behind his back and announced his judgment to the Mages of Sabertooth.

”What?!”

”Punishment?”

”How are you going to punish us?!”

The group of Mages from Sabertooth looked at Jellal and asked in confusion.

”Oh? Havenʼt you noticed? I have already handed down your punishment!”

Hearing the questions from the group of Sabertooth Mages before him, the corners of Jellalʼs lips curled upward as he spoke coldly.

”Boom!”

At precisely the moment Jellalʼs voice fell, seven interconnected Magic Circles suddenly appeared in the sky.

”Those are Magic Circles?!”

”When did he write them in the air?”

”Youʼve got to be kidding! Such complicated Magic Circles can actually be completed in an instant?”

”Is this guy a monster?”

When the Mages of Sabertooth saw the Magic Circles in the sky, their expressions changed in shock one after another.

They could not understand exactly how Jellal had written such complicated Magic Circles in such a short instant!

”I hope you remember that I, Jellal, am the most merciful and the most fair!”

Jellal looked at the astonished Mages one after another and revealed a smile.

He, Jellal, was extremely merciful and fair...
