Fairy Tail: Collapsing Stars

Chapter 473: Irene Belserionʼs Biggest Fanboy

”Boom!”

Accompanied by the roar of endless magic power.

Evan, Irene, Selene, Ignia, and Acnologia suddenly underwent tremendous changes! They transformed from humans into some kind of even more powerful creatures. They were the true apex predators that had once roamed the continent four hundred years ago—the genuine top predators of the Earth-land world!

”Buzz!”

Amid wave after wave of earth-shaking roars, those enormous creatures appeared before the white old dragon almost in the blink of an eye.

”Rumble!”

As Evan and the others collectively transformed into their Dragon forms.

The oldest Magic Guild, Magia Dragon, known as the first officially recognized Mage Guild in the Earth-land world, an ancient guild with a history of more than a hundred years, was immediately burst apart by those enormous Dragon bodies. Countless bricks shattered, and the walls collapsed with a thunderous crash!

Among them, the Azure Dragon transformed from Evan was by far the most conspicuous. Its body stretched for more than a thousand meters, and no matter how much Evan tried to restrain himself, he could not completely contain his size! His enormous Dragon body directly flattened the entire Magia Dragon Guild, while his casually sweeping tail even affected the nearby forest. Countless trees were sent flying by Evanʼs unintentionally swinging tail…

As for the crimson Dragon beside Evan, the one transformed from Irene displayed an utterly elegant bearing. Perhaps because the power of the Human-Human Fruit within Irene had taken effect, not only had Ireneʼs human appearance become increasingly otherworldly, like a celestial fairy descended from the heavens!

Even her Dragon form had become even more beautiful. The lines of her face had become softer, her body more upright, and with all four limbs planted on the ground, she exuded an air of dignity. She looked almost like a beautiful red gemstone.

”Roar~”

The Moon Dragon God transformed from Selene was just as beautiful as her human form. Her snow-white fur was filled with mystery, while nine fluffy tails rose toward the heavens, adding considerable bewitching charm to her appearance.

Her fox-like face bore light-golden features, resembling the gentle moonlight emitted by a full moon, making her look incomparably sacred! Seleneʼs Dragon form looked almost exactly like the golden-faced Nine-Tailed Foxes from mythological stories—mysterious and enchanting…

”Whoosh~”

Beside Selene was a scarlet Fire Dragon, countless flames continuously spewing forth with every breath the Fire Dragon took! Merely standing there, the Fire Dragon caused the temperature throughout the entire guild to rise by dozens of degrees!

And that Fire Dragon was none other than Fire Dragon King Igneelʼs son, Fire Dragon God Ignia. Just by looking at Igniaʼs physique, which resembled Igneelʼs, as well as the tremendous magic power continuously exhaled with every breath Ignia took, one could tell that what Ignia had inherited from Igneel was definitely not merely his physical form, but also power of an extreme magnitude!

At this moment, Ignia stood with his arms folded before his chest, his Dragon wings casually spread open. His powerful muscles glistened beneath the sunlight, while his scarlet skin resembled flowing magma. His pair of crimson eyes radiated endless light and heat, like two shining suns.

However, what shocked Elefseria the most was the pitch-black giant Dragon standing beside Ignia.

Elefseria did not know how to describe the Dragon before him. The moment he looked at that Dragon, he felt his heart pounding rapidly, while his mind trembled and the warning sirens in his head rang incessantly, issuing one warning after another!

Its body was black as ink, resembling a black hole that absorbed the surrounding light! The patterns engraved upon its body, symbolizing mysterious magical elements, made it appear exceptionally majestic! The pair of wings on its back resembled those of a raven and radiated an ominous aura. Rather than Dragon wings, they looked more like the wings of a demon!

The instant Elefseria saw the giant Dragon before him, he felt the boundless knowledge stored within his mind slowly emptying out. This caused a chill to rise within the heart of Elefseria, who had traversed the northern continent of Guiltina for more than a hundred years. He could feel that it was the Dragon Slayer Magic within his body instinctively experiencing fear!

Looking across the entire world, there was perhaps only one Dragon capable of making him, who had fully mastered Law Dragon Slayer Magic, feel fear—the victor of the Dragon King Festival four hundred years ago, the ʼBlack Dragon King,ʼ Acnologia!

For a moment, the white old Dragon, who had originally appeared so imposing, suddenly hunched his body slightly. As he looked at each of the Dragons before him, whose presence surpassed his own, countless beads of sweat covered his forehead…

”You… You are?!”

Elefseriaʼs voice became extremely quiet, as though he were afraid that speaking too loudly would offend the Dragons and Dragon Slayer Mages before him.

At the same time, Elefseria screamed almost hysterically inside his heart, ”What kind of combination is this?!”

”The Black Dragon King Acnologia recorded in the Book of Apocalypse written by the Magic Council ERA of the continent of Ishgar has teamed up with the strongest Dragon Gods of the northern continent Guiltina?!”

”And the magic power within the two beside Acnologia, Ignia, and Selene seems to be no weaker than that of the Dragon Gods! In fact, they even seem to surpass the Dragon Gods faintly?!”

”Good heavens! What are these monsters forming a team for? Are they looking at that world filled with stars and planning to destroy a planet for fun?!”

”No, even if it were merely one world, it would not be enough to make so many monsters act at once. Just a single Dragon God is enough to drive an entire world into madness. I remember that Selene has already conquered who knows how many worlds…”

”Damn it, what am I supposed to do now?!”

Elefseria was completely bewildered at this moment. He had no idea what he could possibly do to escape his current predicament.

”You must be the president of Magia Dragon, Elefseria, right?”

”Greetings! We are Mages from Fairy Tail…”

Just as Elefseria was falling into madness, Evan spoke.

”Mages from Fairy Tail?”

When Evan said the word ʼgreetings,ʼ Elefseria really wanted to tell the young man before him, namely Evan, that he was not doing well! But he restrained himself. At the same time, when Elefseria heard Evan mention the name of the Mage Guild Fairy Tail, he fell into deep thought.

”The Fairy Tail you speak of—does it have any connection to the Fairy Tail I know, the strongest Mage Guild on the continent of Ishgar? Are these two Fairy Tails actually the same Fairy Tail?”

Elefseria was the Law Dragon Slayer Mage, a man known as someone who possessed countless pieces of knowledge in the world. At this moment, this man who had read countless books looked extremely nervous as he gazed at Evan and the others, asking in a hushed voice.

After asking, Elefseria did not wait for Evan and the others to answer. He shook his head first. ”Iʼm really being foolish! Ever since my heart disappeared, my mind has gotten worse day by day, and Iʼve become increasingly stupid! How could these two Fairy Tails possibly be the same Fairy Tail? It must simply be a coincidence. They just happen to have the same name!”

”Oh? You know about our guild?”

”I didnʼt expect that, without realizing it, our Mage Guild has already become this famous?!”

”Yes. Just as you said, the Fairy Tail you know, the strongest Mage Guild on the continent of Ishgar, is indeed the Mage Guild we belong to…”

After hearing Elefseriaʼs words, Evan suddenly smiled and openly admitted it.

”Eh? These two Fairy Tails really are the same guild?!”

Elefseriaʼs face was filled with shock when he heard Evanʼs words.

”If your guild is called Fairy Tail, why arenʼt you searching for mysterious fairies? Why are you searching for so many Dragons instead?!”

”You look even more like a guild specifically dedicated to cultivating Dragon Slayer Mages than Diabolos!”

After hearing Evanʼs words, Elefseria could not help shouting.

”In terms of specialization alone, the Dragon Slayer Mages cultivated by our Fairy Tail cannot possibly be compared to mere Diabolos…”

”At best, those fellows from Diabolos are nothing more than half-baked Dragon Slayer Mages who use incomplete Dragon Slayer Magic and rely on devouring Dragon blood to increase their strength! They are completely incomparable to the orthodox Dragon Slayer Magic passed down by our Fairy Tail…”

”As for our origins, the inventor of Dragon Slayer Magic and founder of the Dragon Slayer Mage school, the Queen who ruled over the Dragons four hundred years ago, Irene Belserion, is a member of our guild! As for strength, I donʼt think there is a Dragon Slayer Mage belonging to any other Mage Guild in the entire world who could exchange blows with me and Acnologia…”

After hearing Elefseriaʼs words, Evan immediately laughed. It might be difficult to say anything else, but when it came to Dragon Slayer Magic, the Dragon Slayer Magic of their Fairy Tail Guild was absolutely the strongest, and their Fairy Tailʼs cultivation and education of Dragon Slayer Mages was absolutely the most professional.

”Irene Belserion?!”

”If I remember correctly, that name belongs to the one who created Dragon Slayer Magic, the Mother of Dragon Slayer Mages, right? To Dragon Slayer Mages like us, that Lady is practically equivalent to a mother…”

Elefseriaʼs heart trembled. He had read records concerning the origins of Dragon Slayer Magic and knew exactly what the name Irene Belserion represented to Dragon Slayer Mages throughout the world.

”I donʼt have a son as old as you~”

Just as Elefseria was shocked, Irene looked at Elefseria with an expression of disdain and spoke softly.

”Sure enough, you really are Lady Irene!”

”Itʼs truly astonishing. You have lived for four hundred years, yet you remain so young…”

”No, actually, when I learned that Acnologia, who ended the war between Dragons and humans on the continent of Ishgar four hundred years ago, was still living in this world, I should have realized that someone as extraordinarily talented as you had no reason not to survive…”

After seeing Irene, Elefseriaʼs eyes lit up, and he immediately began showering Irene with praise. In the eyes of a Dragon Slayer Mage, especially someone like Elefseria who was familiar with the history of Dragon Slayer Mages, Irene was practically a godlike existence.

In Elefseriaʼs eyes, Irene was an even greater existence than Acnologia. Without the Dragon Slayer Magic invented by Irene, the era in which Dragons ruled over the earth, sky, and sea four hundred years ago could never have been brought to an end!

”Are you praising me?”

”If thatʼs the case, then Iʼll gladly accept it~”

Irene seemed to be in a good mood. Anyone would probably be happy to be praised by one of their successors, right?

”Tch~”

Selene curled her lips in disdain at this.

”Lady Irene, regarding the fact that I used the ʼLawʼ inherited from Belserion as the title of my Dragon Slayer Mage without your permission, I apologize to you!”

Elefseria seemed to have thought of something. He looked at Irene and expressed his apology.

In fact, the attribute Elefseria controlled and the title ʼLaw,ʼ as well as the attribute Irene controlled and the title ʼSage,ʼ ultimately originated from the Wisdom Dragon, namely the ʼSage Dragonʼ Belserion.

However, because Elefseria had learned from the records documenting Dragon Slayer Magic that the worldʼs first Dragon Slayer Mage, namely Irene, had taken Belserion as her surname…

And had taken the ʼSageʼ inherited from Belserion as her title as a Dragon Slayer Mage…

Therefore, Elefseria, as the first Dragon Slayer Mage of the northern continent Guiltina, had continued Belserionʼs name of wisdom purely as a gesture of respect.

However, when Elefseria encountered Irene, the genuine Dragon Slayer Mage who had inherited the name of wisdom from the Sage Dragon Belserion, he immediately became somewhat flustered and felt apologetic. After all, he had used the title inherited from Belserion without Irene or Belserionʼs permission, making him appear like someone who did not understand proper etiquette…

Simply put, when Elefseria originally named his own attribute, he had never imagined that Irene was still alive!

Since Irene and Belserion had both become figures of history, couldnʼt he call himself whatever he wanted?!

But now, the person whom Elefseria believed had been dead for four hundred years had come back to life…

”No, itʼs nothing…”

Irene appeared completely indifferent.

”If Belserion knew that he had another successor using his name to travel the continent, wouldnʼt he be delighted?”

Irene knew that with the personality of the ʼSage Dragonʼ Belserion, he would never become angry because someone used his name without permission. Instead, he would be incredibly happy. The Sage Dragon was pleased to see humans use his name and power to protect humanity itself.

”The Sage Dragon Belserion?”

After hearing Ireneʼs words, Elefseria fell into deep thought.

As someone who had studied the history of Dragon Slayer Magic, Elefseria naturally knew that although Dragon Slayer Magic had been invented by Irene, its fundamental origin still came from Dragons.

More precisely, Dragon Slayer Magic had been developed by Irene with the assistance of the Sage Dragon Belserion…

Therefore, even though Elefseria hated Dragons, especially the Five Dragon Gods who had ravaged the continent, whenever Belserion was mentioned, he would still add the respectful suffix ʼLord.ʼ He genuinely respected and revered Belserion, the Dragon whose existence was intimately connected to the history of Dragon Slayer Mages.

”Does a world where humans and Dragons coexist really exist?”

Thinking of this, Elefseria recalled the records concerning the origins of Dragon Slayer Magic that he had once read. They described the ideal kingdom ruled by the Dragon Queen Irene Belserion four hundred years ago, where Dragons and Mages lived together. Thus, he could not help looking at Irene and asking.

”Of course…”

”Even if you cannot see what the nation where Dragons and humans coexisted under my leadership looked like four hundred years ago!”

”At the very least, you can see what the Mage Guild Fairy Tail, where my child Evan resides, looks like right now!”

”Right now, arenʼt Moon Dragon God Selene, Fire Dragon God Ignia, Dragon Acnologia, and myself and Evan all appearing before you in a state of coexistence?”

Irene smiled and gently guided Elefseria, this Dragon Slayer Mage who had inherited the title ʼLawʼ but did not seem particularly clever.

”This…”

Upon hearing Ireneʼs words, Elefseria immediately looked enlightened. He suddenly had the feeling that after searching thousands of times, he had finally found what he was looking for, and upon turning around, the answer had been right there all along.

The answer to how humans and Dragons should coexist, which he had been painstakingly pondering all this time, had already been provided by Irene four hundred years ago in the records concerning the origins of Dragon Slayer Mages…

It was just that, at the time, Elefseria had already been blinded by anger, hatred, and fury!

Had it not been for those emotions, he would never have created a madman like Jorg Reizen.

”Phew…”

Thinking of this, Elefseria let out a long breath, and a trace of clarity flashed through his eyes.

”I have been taught! Thank you for your guidance, Lady Irene.”

Elefseria looked at Irene and spoke humbly. At this moment, Elefseria was completely like Ireneʼs biggest fanboy.

”If possible…”

”Actually, I have an unreasonable request. I hope Lady Irene can grant it!”

After thanking Irene, Elefseria seemed to have thought of something. He revealed an embarrassed expression as he looked at Irene and asked.

”Just say it…”

Irene had always been a generous person. She looked at Elefseria as though he were one of her juniors.

”I hope you can accept me as your disciple! That way, the title of ʼLawʼ that I inherited from Lord Belserion can be considered legitimate!”

After Irene gave him permission to speak, Elefseria immediately told her what he had been thinking.

”Accept you as my disciple?”

Irene was stunned for a moment. She seemed not to have expected Elefseria to make such a request.

”Forget about calling me Master. Since you are also a Dragon Slayer Mage, just call me Teacher! However, I have nothing to teach you. Your Dragon Slayer Magic has already reached the stage of mastery, so…”

After thinking for a while, Irene still agreed to Elefseriaʼs request. After all, he could be considered one of the few talents in the Earth-land world. He was the only person who had learned Dragon Slayer Magic without relying on an enchantment spell, instead using other means to engrave Dragon power into his own body.

”No, this is enough! This is more than enough! Thank you for accepting me, Teacher Irene.”

Elefseria did not dare ask Irene for too much. Being acknowledged by Irene, the ancestor of Dragon Slayer Mages, was already enough to make Elefseria incredibly happy.

”May I ask, Teacher Irene, what brings you and this annoying Dragon God to my humble residence?”

Elefseria first smiled slightly at Irene, then glared viciously at Selene beside Irene. His tone shifted between respect, anger, and calmness as he asked his question.

It was difficult to imagine how a single sentence could contain so many different emotions…

”You want to fight, donʼt you?!”

”You really think I donʼt dare kill you, do you?!”

After sensing Elefseriaʼs gaze and contemptuous emotions, the corner of Seleneʼs eye twitched slightly. The veins on her forehead bulged as anger rolled and burned within her heart!

”Calm down, Selene. Elefseria isnʼt wrong, after all. You really are an annoying Dragon God…”

Irene patted Selene on the shoulder and spoke seriously.

”I understand! So you want to fight me too, right?”

Seleneʼs mouth twitched slightly upon hearing this.

”Although thatʼs true, Irene and Elefseria arenʼt wrong! Among us Dragon Gods, youʼre the one who loves meddling in other peopleʼs affairs the most. You really are annoying!”

At this moment, Ignia also spoke up, immediately agreeing with Irene and Elefseria.

”Ignia, are you taking advantage of the situation to kick me while Iʼm down?”

Selene looked at Ignia, who had sided with Irene, and immediately lost some of her momentum. Even Selene did not believe she could deal with Irene, Elefseria, and Ignia simultaneously.

”Sheʼs definitely annoying!”

Just as Selene was being angered by Irene and Ignia to the point that her ample chest was constantly trembling, Acnologia spoke. Of course, he was not specifically targeting Selene. He simply hated every Dragon in this world.

”Gasp…”

Upon hearing this, Selene sucked in a sharp breath, then angrily ran over to Evanʼs side.

”Evan, hurry up and deal with them!”

”Theyʼve all teamed up to bully me…”

Selene chose to temporarily avoid the combined pressure of Irene, Ignia, and Acnologia, running over to Evan to complain.

”Enough. Stop fooling around. We have business to attend to…”

Evan looked at the flirtatious fox beside him and immediately felt a headache coming on.

Thus, Evan directly chose to move past the subject.

”Senior Elefseria, I am Evan Belserion. You can just call me Evan!”

”As you just heard, we are all Mages from the Fairy Tail Guild, and the reason our Fairy Tail has come looking for you is because we are here for the Hundred Years Quest you issued!”

Evan ignored Seleneʼs complaints and looked at Elefseria, speaking seriously.

And as soon as Evanʼs voice fell, whether Irene, Selene, Ignia, or Acnologia, all of them calmed down, their expressions becoming serious as they looked toward Elefseria…

Elefseria saw this entire scene, and only then did he confirm his previous guess: this Azure Dragon was the core of the group.

”You came here for the Hundred Years Quest?!”

Elefseria was stunned for a moment. Clearly, he had not initially thought that Evan and the others had come for the Hundred Years Quest.

”But before we discuss the Hundred Years Quest, could all of you transform back into human form and talk over tea?!”

Because the Azure Dragon transformed from Evan was simply too enormous, Elefseria had been forced to keep craning his neck upward whenever he spoke with Evan. He now understood the feelings Evan and the others had experienced earlier, so he chuckled and asked Evan and the others.

”Werenʼt you the one who transformed into a Dragon first?”

Evan seized the opportunity and asked Elefseria with a smile.

”Hehe…”

”It was this old manʼs fault for being presumptuous!”

Elefseria gave an awkward laugh upon hearing Evanʼs words, then looked at Evan and the others apologetically.

To be honest, Elefseria had merely intended to show off a little in front of those accepting the Hundred Years Quest. Who could have known that instead of successfully showing off, he would end up being slapped in the face?

”Then letʼs sit down and talk!”

Evan did not continue pressing the matter. Since Elefseria had apologized, he would give the other party a way out.

”Good!”

Elefseria naturally agreed.

”Buzz!”

As Evan and Elefseria reached an agreement, accompanied by a burst of light, Evan and the others, who had transformed into giant Dragons, once again returned to their human forms.

And after everyone returned to human form, Evan also got to see Elefseriaʼs human appearance. The man wore a traditional mageʼs robe and held a staff in his hand. His attire made him look like an elderly scholar who spent day and night studying magic. As for Elefseriaʼs age, he looked to be around the same age as the Second Guild Master Precht, both seemingly over a hundred years old. However, in terms of temperament, he was closer to the ʼWizard Kingʼ August. Aside from that, there was also something of Makarovʼs carefree nature about him…

”Restore!”

After everyone had returned to human form, Elefseria held his staff and cast magic upon the Magia Dragon Guild that Evan and the others had destroyed.

”Boom!”

As Elefseriaʼs staff touched the ground, a gigantic magic circle immediately lit up from the ground of the guild. Perhaps this was the origin of the words ʼMagic Circleʼ in the name Magia Dragon?!

The next second, the ruins of the Magia Dragon Guild began moving on their own, as though they possessed life, waving their own ʼbodies.ʼ This was a type of magic used to restore buildings that was completely different from Ultearʼs Arc of Time.

”Hoho, now we can have a proper discussion!”

After restoring the entire guild, Elefseria waved his hand. A table immediately appeared before everyone, followed by six chairs, six exquisite teacups, and a teapot containing freshly brewed black tea.

The teapot then floated into the air on its own and poured black tea into everyoneʼs cups. The fragrance of tea immediately filled the air…

”Please, take your seats!”

As the president of Magia Dragon, Elefseria, being the host, invited everyone to sit down and discuss the matter of the Hundred Years Quest.

”Good!”

Everyone also gave Elefseria some face. After Evan pulled out a chair and sat down, Irene, Selene, and the others also took their seats!

”…”

Elefseria looked at the scene before him. He knew perfectly well that rather than saying everyone was giving him face, it would be more accurate to say that everyone was giving Evan face. For a moment, Elefseria became incredibly curious about Evan.

At the same time, Elefseria recalled the surname ʼBelserionʼ Evan had mentioned during his introduction and felt somewhat curious. After all, Irene also used Belserion as her surname…

At the same time, Elefseria observed the way Evan and Irene interacted with each other. For a moment, he formed a certain guess about the relationship between Evan and Irene.

”Is he her descendant?”

Elefseria wondered thoughtfully.

”Then, Elefseria, before we discuss the Hundred Years Quest, let me first introduce the Mages from our Fairy Tail Guild who have come to complete the Hundred Years Quest!”

”First, this is my mother, and also the ʼSage Dragonʼ who is the ancestor of Dragon Slayer Mages, Irene Belserion. I am the Dragon Slayer Mage of the ʼAzure Dragon,ʼ Evan Belserion. This is the Dragon God ʼMoon Dragon Godʼ Selene, who joined our Fairy Tail Guild, as well as ʼFire Dragon Godʼ Ignia. Finally, this personʼs name should be familiar to you. The man who defeated all Dragon Slayer Mages and Dragons four hundred years ago, the sole victor of the Dragon King Festival, the final Dragon King of the Dragons, the ʼBlack Dragon Kingʼ Acnologia!”

Evan sat opposite Elefseria and introduced, one by one, the Mages from Fairy Tail responsible for completing the Hundred Years Quest.

”So Evan and Irene are mother and son?! I thought he was a descendant separated from her by countless generations, but with the Mother of Dragon Slayer Mages guiding him from the side, it would be difficult for his Dragon Slayer Magic not to reach mastery!”

After hearing Evanʼs words, Elefseria was first shocked by the relationship between Evan and Irene.

Then Elefseriaʼs gaze passed over everyone and firmly locked onto Acnologia, whose arm had been severed by Igneel. ”So this person really is the legendary Acnologia? What terrifying power! No wonder he is known as the strongest Dragon Slayer Mage in the world! The power within him is probably even above that of the Dragon Gods.”

”Mr. Elefseria?”

Evan sat opposite Elefseria. Seeing the latter staring at everyone in a daze, he could not help asking softly.

”Ahem…”

”Sorry! I accidentally got lost in thought for a while!”

”One has to admit defeat to age. Ever since I got older, my mind has become increasingly useless…”

After hearing Evanʼs words, Elefseriaʼs eyes flashed with realization. He then spoke apologetically to everyone.

”Then…”

”I wonʼt waste any more time with pleasantries. Letʼs get straight to the point and discuss the Hundred Years Quest!”

”First, Iʼd like to know how much all of you understand about the Hundred Years Quest?!”

Elefseria stroked the long beard on his chin and asked Evan and the others.

”It probably has something to do with the Dragon Gods?”

Although Evan knew exactly what Elefseriaʼs so-called Hundred Years Quest referred to, he deliberately spoke vaguely, giving the employer, Elefseria, an opportunity to explain.

”Yes…”

”Just as you said, the Hundred Years Quest I issued is indeed related to the Dragon Gods!”

”You also know that the Five Dragon Gods have been wreaking havoc across the northern continent of Guiltina for more than a hundred years, perhaps even longer!”

”But because the Dragon Gods are simply too powerful, no one has been able to deal with them. We can only watch them wreak havoc without being able to do anything! And my commission, the Hundred Years Quest, was born because of this.”

”I have only one requirement for this quest: seal all five Dragon Gods who are still alive today! Aside from that, I have no other demands…”

Elefseria sat in his seat and clearly explained the matter of the Hundred Years Quest to everyone.

Originally, Elefseria had wanted to emphasize the tremendous strength of the Dragon Gods, warning Evan and Irene not to underestimate them. Each of those Dragon Gods possessed strength no weaker than Acnologia…

But when the words reached Elefseriaʼs lips, he remembered that Acnologia, as well as two of the Five Dragon Gods, were members of Fairy Tail. They probably understood the strength of the Dragon Gods better than he did, so Elefseria swallowed the words that had reached the tip of his tongue.

”Nonsense!”

”When have I ever wreaked havoc across the continent of Guiltina? How come I donʼt know about it?!”

Just as Elefseria was describing the dangers posed by the Five Dragon Gods to the world, Selene, sitting opposite Elefseria with her bare feet in a pair of sandals, angrily threw one of her sandals directly at Elefseriaʼs face.

Elefseria did not react in time, and Seleneʼs sandal struck him directly in the face…

If this had been the Fairy Tail Guild, the old perverts led by Gildarts would probably have smiled and collected Seleneʼs sandal, then respectfully said to Selene, ”Thank you for the Goddessʼs reward. Would you like to add a foot-washing service? Iʼm really good at licking~”

But obviously Elefseria did not think that way. He was completely enraged by Selene.

”Bang!” Almost instantly, Elefseria rose from his seat, pointed at Seleneʼs nose, and roared, ”Moon Dragon God Selene! Do you know how many people have died because of you in this world? I watched with my own eyes as one young person after another who accepted the Hundred Years Quest died at your hands!”

In fact, Evan and the others were the ninety-eighth group of Mages to accept the Hundred Years Quest. Before them, aside from Jorg Reizen, everyone else had died!

As for Jorg Reizen, because he used the banner of exterminating the Five Dragon Gods to slaughter various types of Dragons across the northern continent of Guiltina while spreading the Hundred Years Quest everywhere, Elefseria unilaterally terminated the commission!

In Elefseriaʼs heart, that justice-loving Jorg Reizen had died long ago. Now, only a blood-addicted madman remained.

”You shouldʼve left this alone! The moment you mention it, it makes me even angrier!”

”What did I ever do to you? Do you have nothing better to do? You sent a whole bunch of Mages to hunt me down, and those damn human Mages didnʼt even give me a chance to explain! They attacked me without even asking questions, and they went straight for the kill!”

”Under circumstances like that, you expect me not to kill them? Should I save them for the New Year? Do you think Iʼm some great saint? Other people attacked me and my children, and you expect me to just endure it?!”

Selene was obviously furious with Elefseria. Her ample figure rose and fell with her anger, trembling continuously.

”You…”

Elefseria clenched his fists upon hearing this. He wanted to argue, but he did not know where to begin.

The conflict between Dragons and humans was itself a confused account. No one could truly say who was right and who was wrong…

”Enough! I wonʼt give you some grandiose speech about how you should forgive each other for the sake of the future of humans and Dragons. Keep hating each other if you want. For now, letʼs talk about the Dragon Gods…”

Just as Elefseria and Selene glared at each other with hostility, Evan stepped forward to mediate.

”Hmph~”

After Evan spoke, Elefseria and Selene simultaneously snorted. They then helplessly sat back down. They both knew that mutual hostility could not solve anything, but they simply had nowhere to vent the anger in their hearts.

Normally speaking, Elefseria was understandable since he was fundamentally human, but Selene should not have been so angry. After all, Dragons should not actually be this emotional. Yet Selene had reacted unusually strongly, feeling anger and hatred toward Elefseria. In Evanʼs eyes, this was a good thing, because Selene was becoming more and more like a human.

”Phew…” Elefseria first let out a long sigh. After gradually calming down, he faced Evan and the others and softly explained, ”In fact, there were originally six Dragon Gods in this world. Several years ago, I gave up this old life of mine and fought one of the Dragon Gods to the death, the Earth Dragon God Dogramag, but I paid an incomparably heavy price for it! After the Earth Dragon God was defeated by me, there are currently only Fire Dragon God Ignia, Moon Dragon God Selene, Water Dragon God Mercphobia, Wood Dragon God Aldoron, and Gold Dragon God Viernes remaining on the northern continent of Guiltina…”

”These are the Dragon Gods currently active on the northern continent of Guiltina!”

Elefseria sat in his chair and explained the current situation of the Dragon Gods to Evan and the others.

”Pfft…”

After Elefseria finished speaking, Fire Dragon God Ignia suddenly laughed.

”What are you laughing at?”

Elefseria looked at Ignia, who was laughing at him, and asked.

”Nothing, nothing. I just thought of something funny.”

Ignia waved his hand at Elefseria, as though telling him not to mind.

”You…”

The veins on Elefseriaʼs forehead bulged. This was exactly why he had thought Evan and Lady Irene should not have teamed up with these Dragon Gods.

”Ignia…”

Evan looked helplessly at Ignia, who was mocking Elefseria, and called his name.

”Ahem…”

”Elefseria, you said you killed that idiot Dogramag?”

After sensing Evanʼs gaze, Ignia coughed twice and straightened his expression.

”What about it?”

Cold sweat appeared on Elefseriaʼs forehead after hearing Igniaʼs words.

”When did you start having the illusion that you successfully killed Dogramag?”

”That guy deliberately let you kill him because he wanted your idiot heart! By my calculations, he should be about ready to revive…”

Ignia revealed something that shocked Elefseria right to his face.

”What?”

Elefseriaʼs expression suddenly changed. So the Earth Dragon God he had believed he had killed had actually been nothing more than his own wishful thinking all along.

”Ignia, donʼt tell me you and that Dogramag fellow are planning something behind everyoneʼs backs?”

Selene understood Ignia quite well. Even she had no idea about Dogramagʼs situation.

And when she heard Ignia say that Dogramag was still alive, she immediately thought of something and asked Ignia.

”Ahem…”

”Whatever Dogramag and I are planning isnʼt actually important…”

”Iʼm saying, you all know that Dogramagʼs body transformed into the Great Labyrinth, right?!”

”How about this! I can personally guarantee that he will never leave the labyrinth, and I can also guarantee that once the labyrinth grows to a certain area, it absolutely will not continue expanding! It will never affect the lives of other humans, Dragons, or any other creatures in Guiltina! If thatʼs the case, that counts as sealing him, right?”

”Come on, among the Dragon Gods, only that idiot Dogramag and I really get along…”

Ignia felt everyoneʼs gazes upon him and spoke somewhat helplessly.

”Since Ignia has given his guarantee, then the Earth Dragon God can be considered successfully sealed…”

Evan exchanged glances with Ignia for several seconds before turning his head toward Elefseria and speaking.

”Phew~”

Ignia slowly breathed a sigh of relief after Evan turned his head away.

”Then next comes the matter of dealing with the other Dragon Gods. Fire Dragon God Ignia and Moon Dragon God Selene have already joined Fairy Tail. I can guarantee in my name that they will never cause trouble on the continent of Guiltina again, provided that nobody actively provokes them…”

”Then we have the Water Dragon God, Gold Dragon God, and Wood Dragon God.”

Evan sat in his seat and spoke to everyone.

”The Water Dragon God, that idiot, has a rather special situation. Strictly speaking, he and Selene are actually on the same side. In any case, he should be easy to deal with too!”

”As for where the Gold Dragon God is, not even the ghosts know. Perhaps we can only ask the lofty gods!”

”The only real problem before us is that fellow Wood Dragon God Aldoron…”

Ignia sat beside Evan and explained the situations of the Five Dragon Gods one by one.

”Uh…”

As for Elefseria beside them, he listened to Igniaʼs entire rambling. Although Elefseria had spent more than a hundred years investigating the Dragon Gods, no matter how hard he tried, he could never understand the Dragon Gods better than the Dragons themselves. In fact, many of the secrets Ignia revealed were things Elefseria himself had never heard before.

As for why Evan had come looking for Elefseria? He actually had another matter that required Elefseriaʼs help.

”So, Elefseria, I hope you can change the Hundred Years Quest!”

”Change the condition of the Hundred Years Quest from sealing the Five Dragon Gods to sealing the Five Dragon Gods who pose a tremendous threat to humanity. As for those Dragons who pose no threat to humanity and wish to coexist peacefully with humans, forget about them~”

Evan first nodded at Ignia before turning around and looking at Elefseria.

”This…”

Elefseria fell into deep thought, considering whether Evanʼs words were right or wrong.

Elefseria did not actually trust the Dragon Gods. More accurately, he did not trust any Dragon in this world!

However, when Elefseria recalled what Irene had once told him about a world where humans and Dragons coexisted peacefully, he hesitated. After pondering for a long time, he finally revealed a relieved smile.

”Compared to the war between humans and Dragons that Lady Irene experienced in the past, what I experienced amounts to nothing, does it?”

”One Dragon after another whom Lady Irene knew was killed by humans, while one Dragon Slayer Mage after another whom Lady Irene taught was devoured by Dragons. Yet even so, Lady Irene continued striving for the future of the Earth-land world, humans, and Dragons…”

”I really am far inferior to Lady Irene! It seems that at my current level, I am still far from worthy of the name of wisdom I inherited from Belserion!”

After pondering for a long time, Elefseria smiled and shook his head.

”The era when humans devoured Dragons and Dragons devoured humans ends here!”

”In that case, the quest I issued a hundred years ago was indeed somewhat inappropriate!”

”Then, as Mr. Evan said, letʼs change it to sealing the Dragon Gods among the Five Dragon Gods who are causing trouble in this world!”

Elefseria looked at Evan and spoke.

[Hundred Years Quest: Seal or reform the Dragon Gods who have occupied the northern continent of Guiltina for hundreds of years! Upon completing the quest, you will receive one Hundred Years Quest Medal!]

[Current Quest Progress: ʼFire Dragon Godʼ Ignia (physically reformed), ʼMoon Dragon Godʼ Selene (self-reformed), Gold Dragon God Viernes (self-sealing), Earth Dragon God Dogramag (faked death), Water Dragon God Mercphobia (severe depression), Wood Dragon God Aldoron (sleeping, cultivating Gu)]

As Elefseriaʼs voice fell, the systemʼs voice immediately sounded in Evanʼs mind. All that time spent arguing with Elefseria had not been wasted. He had finally obtained a simplified version of the Hundred Years Quest.

What Elefseria? He was nothing more than an NPC who issued the quest…

Honestly, if Evan had not needed to find Elefseria to trigger the Hundred Years Quest, he would not even have bothered coming to find this old fellow hiding in his guild. He would have simply extracted enough information from Selene and Ignia and then charged straight in!

He had already charged straight at Acnologia and taken him down, so why should he be afraid of a few half-dead Dragon Gods?!

”However, the existence of the Gold Dragon God is a mystery, and I understand the self-sealing part. The Earth Dragon God lost one life to Elefseria, so I understand the faked death part. I can even understand the Wood Dragon God sleeping and cultivating Gu. But what exactly is this Water Dragon Godʼs severe depression?!”

Evanʼs eyelid twitched slightly as he looked at the prompt given by the system.

To be fair, there was actually something Evan had wanted to ask Elefseria for a long time…

First of all, whether the Gold Dragon God was even on the northern continent was a mystery. Even the other Dragon Gods knew very little about the Gold Dragon Godʼs existence. During his hundreds of years on the northern continent, he had never contacted any other Dragon, let alone harmed humans. He could practically be called the greatest shut-in in history.

Ignia only liked challenging the strong and occasionally eliminating some idiots who did not know their place…

Selene had always followed the principle of ʼif you donʼt provoke me, I wonʼt provoke you.ʼ She had lived on the northern continent for more than four hundred years. According to the principle of first come, first served, Selene had arrived in Guiltina far earlier than Elefseria. In fact, when Selene arrived in Guiltina, Elefseria had not even been born yet!

The Wood Dragon God was still sleeping, so there was no need to mention him. The Water Dragon God was suffering from severe depression. Aside from not knowing what the Earth Dragon God had been like when he was alive, Evan knew the other five Dragon Gods well enough to ask: did they really need to be hunted down?!

Even from the extremely scarce information about the Five Dragon Gods that Evan had previously searched through at the Magic Council ERA, it could be seen that aside from Ignia being comparatively rebellious…

The other Dragon Gods had truly been frightened by the invincible Acnologia four hundred years ago. As a result, even on the northern continent of Guiltina, these Dragon Gods rarely moved around. There was so little information about the Dragon Gods that, in the eyes of many people, they had eventually become legendary beings whom hardly anyone had actually seen…

Therefore, Evan had been puzzled from the very beginning. What exactly was Elefseria trying to accomplish by chasing after these Dragon Gods who rarely even moved around, instead of targeting beings that posed a tremendous threat to humanity? Was he bored? If he had that kind of ability, why hadnʼt he gone after Acnologia back then?!

”Hehe…”

Thinking of this, Evan shook his head. There were simply too many points worth complaining about, to the point that he no longer knew where to begin.

”Then letʼs divide up the work!”

”Since the Earth Dragon God Dogramag is your good friend, Ignia, weʼll leave him to you to persuade. As long as he doesnʼt leave his labyrinth, weʼll let him roam freely in this world!”

”By the way, the labyrinth canʼt expand beyond ten square kilometers. Is that acceptable?”

Evan spoke to Ignia.

”Ten square kilometers is a little small, isnʼt it?” Ignia scratched the back of his head. Ten square kilometers was absolutely enormous for ordinary people, more than enough space to live an entire lifetime, but for a Dragon, especially a Dragon God, it was a little small…

Thus, after thinking for a while, Ignia seemed to have come up with an idea. He looked at Evan and said, ”I can have that guy Dogramag turn his labyrinth into the shape of Fairy Tail! I mean, if you look down from outer space, youʼll be able to see a huge Fairy Tail emblem!”

”Gasp…”

”Fine. You decide the scale yourself, but donʼt go too far!”

Evan had not expected this kid Ignia to have already become so familiar with Fairy Tailʼs style of doing things. Truly, the student had surpassed the master.

”Afterward, Iʼll contact the Magic Council and buy all the land occupied by the labyrinth formed from the Earth Dragon God Dogramag!”

Evan immediately added this.

”Buy it? Do you have that much money?”

Elefseria was shocked when he heard Evanʼs words.

”Do you have some misunderstanding about the financial strength of my Fairy Tail Guild?”

Evan smiled casually. What a joke. Behind him stood the Alvarez Empire, which had unified the western continent, as well as the Magic Council ERA, which secretly ruled the entire magical world of the continent of Ishgar!

On top of that, there were also the worlds of Edolas and Earth-land. Without exaggeration, if he wanted to, he could buy the entire northern continent of Guiltina.

Besides, he was not even going to pay for it himself. Evan would absolutely give this opportunity to show off to Fairy Tailʼs richest man, Mystogan.

”Achoo~”

At this moment, Mystogan, who was engaged in a fierce battle with the Dragon Slayer Mages of the Dragon Eater Guild Diabolos in the town of Diabolos, suddenly sneezed. His mind trembled slightly, and he had a premonition that he would soon suffer a great disaster—specifically, a financial disaster of epic proportions.

”Uh…”

Elefseria fell silent after hearing Evanʼs words.

”Come to think of it, I still havenʼt told you what reward you will receive after completing the Hundred Years Quest, have I?”

”You may choose any one thing. Anything in the world—I can give it to you!”

After remaining silent for a while, Elefseria felt that he needed to say something, but he did not know what. Suddenly, he remembered that he had yet to tell Evan what reward they could obtain after completing the quest, and his interest immediately returned. Elefseria spread his arms and loudly declared to Evan and the others.

”Anything in the world?”

Evan and the others were stunned upon hearing Elefseriaʼs words, then exchanged glances.

”Thatʼs right!”

Elefseria was full of confidence. He possessed information regarding countless objects in the Earth-land world. As long as something existed in the Earth-land world, Elefseria could always find it if he spent enough time.

”I need the anti-Dragon God weapon Athena. Can you find it for me too?”

Upon hearing this, Selene looked at Elefseria and asked softly.

”Ah, this…”

Elefseriaʼs forehead immediately broke out in countless beads of sweat.

”If my heart were still here, helping you find Athena would be quite easy. But now that Iʼm old, I tend to forget things! Besides, with Lady Irene and Lord Acnologia here, I donʼt think you need Athenaʼs power. Even Athena might not be able to defeat Acnologia…”

Elefseriaʼs expression was somewhat awkward as he guiltily explained himself to Selene, Evan, and the others.

”If you canʼt find it, just say you canʼt find it! Donʼt brag if you canʼt deliver!”

”Elefseria, remember this. We are the ones fulfilling your wish right now, not you fulfilling our wishes! If you possessed the ability to fulfill our wishes, you wouldnʼt need to issue the Hundred Years Quest in the first place~”

Selene would not let go of any opportunity to mock Elefseria. Once she found the right angle, she relentlessly attacked.

”Uh…”

Elefseria fell silent upon hearing this. Just as Selene had said, in front of Selene, Irene, and the others…

He was nothing. He could accomplish nothing.

”What a useless disciple I am!”

Elefseria mocked himself. Unfortunately, he possessed neither Ireneʼs vast wisdom nor Acnologiaʼs overwhelming strength. All of his abilities were awkwardly balanced, neither outstanding nor particularly weak.

”Anyway, just open your eyes and watch!”

”Weʼll take care of sealing the Dragon Gods!”

After mocking Elefseria, Seleneʼs lips curved upward slightly. She seemed incredibly satisfied by Elefseriaʼs dejection, then spoke proudly.

”Selene…”

After hearing Seleneʼs words, Elefseriaʼs expression trembled. He softly repeated the name of his century-old enemy.

”Hahaha…”

In the end, Elefseria laughed heartily and loudly declared, ”As expected of Lady Moon Dragon God! To be honest, when I saw Lady Moon Dragon God, Lady Fire Dragon God, Lord Acnologia, Lady Irene, and Lord Evan arrive together, I thought you had come looking for me to inquire about information concerning the gods, intending to go kill an actual god or something?! Now that I see Lady Selene has become a teammate, you really are reliable!”

”Hmm?!”

The moment Elefseriaʼs voice fell, it immediately caused Evan and the others to become alert.

”Elefseria, how did you know we were planning to kill a god?!”

After a moment of silence, Selene looked at Elefseria and asked coldly.

”Eh?” Elefseriaʼs face, which had been laughing heartily, instantly stiffened. He then widened his eyes in horror. ”No way? Donʼt tell me you really are planning to kill a god?!”
