Fairy Tail: Collapsing Stars

Chapter 462: Another Day of Getting Beaten for Nothing

”Phew...”

Acnologia slowly exhaled a breath of foul air. Although he was somewhat displeased in his heart, people had to look forward in life. Moreover, since what had happened had already happened, no matter how displeased he was, it was meaningless.

”Little Blackie, how does it feel to taste defeat?!” Evan looked at the re-energized Acnologia, the corners of his lips slightly rising. He thought to himself, ”As expected of Acnologia, who beat the Dragon Race into a complete mess four hundred years ago!”

Although Evan acknowledged Acnologia in his heart, he showed no mercy with his mouth, sarcastically mocking him...

He was practically a top-tier hater...

To be fair, Evan had prepared for such a long time to deal with Acnologia. Even if he was a hater, he had developed feelings from all that hating, just like how, in Evanʼs previous life, certain people who talked about ”Jin” and ”Brother” every single day would mention the idols in their hearts even more frequently than genuine fans did. Ahem...

”You...”

After hearing Evanʼs words, a trace of anger flashed through Acnologiaʼs eyes, but that fury disappeared in an instant.

Acnologia knew very well that Evan was deliberately provoking him into becoming angry. If he really allowed himself to be provoked by Evan, then he would instead be led around by the nose by Evan. The calmer he was now, and the more peaceful his heart remained, the better weapon it would be against Evan.

”Phew...” Thinking of this, Acnologia slowly sighed, then asked Evan, ”What did you say you wanted to talk to me about just now?!”

”Hehe...”

Evan looked at Acnologia, who had immediately adjusted his state of mind, and smiled lightly.

As for Acnologiaʼs mentality, Evan still rather approved of it. Just in terms of this mentality alone, he was much stronger than Ignia.

One had to know that Ignia had suffered quite a beating because of arguing with him. One could say that the Ignia who was obediently listening to Evanʼs orders today had been beaten into existence punch by punch by Evan...

However, from this point onward, Evan no longer continued provoking Acnologia.

”Actually, I have a mission. I wonder if the great ʼBlack Dragon Kingʼ is willing to accept it?”

Evanʼs expression became serious as he asked Acnologia.

”Black Dragon King? You still call me the Dragon King? Donʼt call me Dragon King anymore. I have already lost...”

Acnologia first corrected Evanʼs way of addressing him. In Acnologiaʼs eyes, a loser had no qualifications to be called a Dragon King. Even if he had lost because he had been ganged up on, it was the same...

Moreover, in Acnologiaʼs eyes, there was no such thing as ganging up or fighting one-on-one in the first place. A loss was a loss, and there was nothing to say about it. It could only be said that his strength was still insufficient and his skills were inferior to others.

Furthermore, in Acnologiaʼs eyes, if others wanted to deal with him, they should naturally gang up on him. He did not find anything unusual about it. During all these years that Acnologia had roamed the continent, when had he not been ganged up on?!

Instead, Igneel seriously fighting him one-on-one had made Acnologia feel a trace of abnormality!

Including that era four hundred years ago when Dragons ran rampant, Igneel was also the only creature who had chosen to fight Acnologia one-on-one. Because of this, Igneel had earned Acnologiaʼs respect and recognition, even though Igneel had lost!

But four hundred years ago, all the Dragons had lost, so Igneel losing to Acnologia was nothing to be ashamed of...

”As for... the mission you mentioned? A mission that requires me to complete?”

Immediately afterward, Acnologia brought up the mission Evan had mentioned, his brows tightly furrowing.

A mission that required Acnologia himself to complete was obviously extremely difficult. If it were not an extremely difficult mission, it should not have been his turn to take action...

”Thatʼs right!”

Evan lightly nodded, indicating his agreement.

”Tell me about it...”

Acnologia asked Evan.

Yes, Acnologia liked difficult missions! In these four hundred years, he had been invincible for far too long, and he liked work that had some challenges...

”Actually, this mission also has a very deep connection with you, Little Blackie! Four hundred years ago, although you, Little Blackie, successfully ended the war between the Dragons and slaughtered all the Dragons on the continent of Ishgar, the Dragons of this world were not completely exterminated by you!”

”On the distant Northern Continent, on the continent known as Guiltina, there are still a group of extraordinarily powerful Dragons living there. These Dragons practically rule every corner of the continent! Because of their nearly invincible strength, the local people have bestowed upon them the title of gods, calling them the Five Dragon Gods! It is said that each of these Dragon Gods possesses combat power comparable to yours...”

At this point, Evan deliberately glanced at Ignia behind him.

”Ahem...”

Igniaʼs face immediately reddened, and he lightly coughed twice before raising his head to look at the sky.

Seeing this, Evan shook his head and continued, ”Actually, you have already seen two of these Five Dragon Gods. They are the Fire Dragon God Ignia and Moon Dragon God Selene! The strength of these two Dragon Gods is no weaker than that Fire Dragon you fought one-on-one, Igneel! Ignia in particular is Igneelʼs child, and has already surpassed his master! Although these two Dragon Gods cannot defeat you, even you would have to pay a certain price to kill them, right?”

As Evan said this, he looked toward Acnologiaʼs severed arm.

”Hmph!”

Acnologia noticed Evanʼs gaze and used his tattered cloak to cover his severed arm.

”If we donʼt count your ability to devour all magic power, as well as your extremely high immunity to magic! To a certain extent, Selene and Ignia really are existences no weaker than you~”

Evan looked at Acnologiaʼs little action, chuckled, and continued speaking.

In terms of level alone, Ignia and Selene were indeed on the same level as Acnologia. Unfortunately, even among those of the same level, there were differences in strength...

If Acnologia were a little more cautious, a little more patient, kept his distance from Ignia and Selene, and continuously kited them with long-range magic, then under one-on-one circumstances, Acnologia killing a Dragon God without suffering any injuries would not be difficult...

Ultimately, the reason Acnologia had been forced to trade one of his arms by the aged Igneel was because Acnologia had been too careless and too reckless...

”You mean you want me to help you deal with the remaining Five Dragon Gods together?”

After hiding his severed arm, Acnologia looked at Evan and asked.

”Thatʼs more or less what I mean...”

Evan nodded.

”Donʼt joke around!”

However, precisely after Evan nodded, Acnologia became furious in an unusual manner.

”They are merely three Dragon Gods. Even if each of these three Dragon Gods possesses strength comparable to those two Dragons that surrounded and attacked me just now, so what?”

”On your side, counting the Fire Dragon King who lost to me in a one-on-one fight just now, there are a full five Dragon King-level existences!”

”And there is also you, this monster who has surpassed the Dragon King level! Five against three, no matter how you look at it, you have the advantage! Moreover, even I was defeated under your combined assault, so donʼt tell me that nonsense about you being unable to deal with those three Dragon Gods! Since I have already decided to cooperate with you, then tell me your true purpose! Oh, Dragon Slayer Mage of the new era...”

Acnologiaʼs words were filled with respect for Igneel. He was still willing to call Igneel the Fire Dragon King. In four hundred years, he had been the only one willing to fight him one-on-one.

At the same time, Acnologia directly exposed Evanʼs identity. Of course, he knew that Evan, like himself, was a Dragon Slayer Mage. Furthermore, Acnologia had realized that Evanʼs true purpose in seeking him out was definitely not to deal with some damn Dragon Gods. Evan must have something even more troublesome to deal with...

As for Acnologiaʼs logic, it was not because he was overly arrogant. He was simply stating a fact. If Evan could deal with him, then Evan could absolutely deal with those three damn Dragon Gods! Yet Evan had still sought him out, clearly meaning that the existence Evan wanted to deal with was far stronger than the combined strength of those three damn Dragon Gods.

”As expected of Acnologia. You actually discovered the problem immediately. Indeed, just as you predicted, I didnʼt come looking for you merely to deal with those three Dragon Gods...”

When Evan heard Acnologiaʼs words, his expression froze for a moment. He had not expected Acnologia to be so intelligent, actually deducing in an instant that besides dealing with the three Dragon Gods, he had another existence he intended to deal with. Furthermore, Acnologia had actually guessed that the existence he wanted to deal with was much more troublesome than the three Dragon Gods, or even Acnologia himself...

Therefore, Evan no longer concealed anything and planned to lay everything out with Acnologia directly.

”Since you have already discovered it, then I wonʼt hide it from you anymore!”

”Those three Dragon Gods are merely pretenders seeking glory! At most, they can be considered an appetizer! The true reason we came looking for you is to deal with an even greater existence...”

”I wonder if Senior Acnologia has ever heard of the name Ankhseram?”

Evan smiled slightly at Acnologia before uttering the name of a certain God of Life.

”Ankhseram...”

Acnologiaʼs originally calm face revealed a trace of panic after hearing Evanʼs words.

”You people, could it be that you intend to kill a god?”

Acnologia looked at Evan in shock as he asked.

”Yes, I saw that damn Black Wizard just now!”

”That bastard seems to have received the Curse of Ankhseram God! The only way to break this curse is to kill Ankhseram God himself!”

After his brief shock, Acnologia immediately calmed down and muttered to himself.

The Black Wizard he spoke of was naturally Zeref. Acnologia and Zeref could be considered acquaintances. The two of them disliked each other, and were roughly like mutual haters...

”What? Are you afraid?”

Evan looked at Acnologiaʼs reaction and asked with a smile.

”Afraid? Ridiculous...”

”I, Acnologia, have never known what fear means! I am the greatest fear in this world!”

”I am merely shocked by your ambition! You people really are a bunch of audacious lunatics! You actually even thought of something like killing a god...”

”You should know that the Ankhseram God you intend to kill is no third-rate minor god. He is the God who governs life and death in this world, and can be said to be an existence at the pinnacle of the gods. Facing such an existence, do you still intend to fight him?”

Acnologia sat on the ground and asked Evan.

At the same time, Acnologiaʼs eyes remained firmly fixed on Evan. He seemed to hope to see something in Evanʼs eyes. Unfortunately, Acnologia was destined to be disappointed. Evanʼs eyes were very clear, like seawater, making it impossible for Acnologia to see any emotion deep within Evanʼs heart...

”Hehe...”

When Evan heard Acnologiaʼs words, he merely smiled lightly and said nothing more.

”Afraid? Of course Iʼm scared to death. When I think about how there is a god above our heads who governs life and death, who can determine the life and death of me and the people around me at any time, I feel utterly terrified! The lives of mortals may not be as magnificent as those of gods! But they are not something that so-called ʼgodsʼ can toy with at will...”

”Moreover, what kind of god is one who casually curses the people of the world, makes them suffer endless torment, and allows countless lives in this world to be plundered by this curse? He is practically like an evil heretic! If so-called gods are all like this, then our Fairy Tail will no longer worship any gods in this world! We Fairy Tail people have never worshipped useless gods!”

Evan stood before Acnologia and loudly declared this. They were Fairy Tail, the guild that was insanely competitive. Fairy Tail had never believed in any hypocritical gods. If the gods dared to toy with life, then they would drive all those lofty and arrogant gods down from the heavens!

No one stood in the heavens from the very beginning! Since these gods could stand above the heavens, then they, the people of Fairy Tail, could also stand above the heavens!

”You...”

”Hahaha, hahahaha...”

After hearing Evanʼs words, Acnologia was stunned at first, then burst into laughter.

”You really are too interesting!”

”Good, very good! Anyway, Iʼve had enough of this boring life of four hundred years!”

”I think itʼs about time I found something to do for myself!”

”A Dragon King who slaughters all the gods? Hahaha, this title is quite interesting!”

Acnologia seemed to have been infected by Evanʼs words, and became eager to try.

At this moment, Acnologia actually felt his own heartbeat, ʼthump, thump...ʼ It was the sensation of a living heart beating rapidly!

Acnologia even developed the feeling that he was living four hundred years ago, just about to rebel against the lofty Dragons! It was a feeling of being alive!

After sensing the power of life, Acnologia wished he could immediately storm the heavens and have an all-out battle with the gods! That would be the Twilight of the Gods!

The Dragon of Magic that had devoured all the Dragons in the world would also devour the lofty gods!

Acnologia seemed to see the future. Just as he had ended the Age of Dragons four hundred years ago, the Age of Gods was about to be ended as well! From now on, there would be no gods in the world. They were about to create an era that completely belonged to humanity...

”You agree?”

Evan looked at Acnologia and asked.

”I suppose so!”

Acnologiaʼs attitude toward Evan was somewhat ambiguous, somewhat strange...

Acnologia seemed to see his own shadow in Evan. Back then, because of the oppression of the Dragons, he had decided to raise the butcherʼs knife in his hand against the Dragons. And the boy before him, because he had felt the oppression of the gods, had therefore decided to raise the butcherʼs knife in his hand against the lofty gods...

Strictly speaking, Acnologia and Evan should be considered the same kind of people! But the difference was that Evan had countless companions around him, a group of like-minded people!

”If I had also had such a group of companions by my side back then?”

”Would I still have gradually become lost during these four hundred long years?”

Acnologia could not help asking himself.

”Hehe...” After a long while, Acnologia sneered and shook his head, thinking to himself, ”Iʼm getting confused! To think I would consider such a foolish question! What has already happened has happened! No matter what happens, I am still Acnologia!”

”Since you have already agreed to join our Fairy Tail!”

”Then... Sonya, put the guild mark on him!”

After hearing Acnologia agree, Evan looked toward Sonya, who was sitting beside Acnologia and had bandaged his wounds, and said.

”Okay, Lord Evan~”

Sonya lightly nodded, then took the Fairy Tail guild emblem she had already prepared from her trouser pocket.

”Hey! Wait...”

”When did I ever say I was going to join the Mage Guild Fairy Tail you belong to?”

Acnologia looked at Evan and Sonya before suddenly feeling that the two people before him had tricked him.

Wasnʼt it supposed to be about fighting the Dragon Gods and killing the true god?

How did it turn into him having to join the Mage Guild Fairy Tail while they were talking?

”Eh? Didnʼt you just say that you were going to deal with the Dragon Gods and true god together with us? Itʼs only been a few seconds, and youʼve already changed your mind? Hehe, is this the great hero who helped humanity break free from the Dragonsʼ enslavement four hundred years ago? The speed at which you go back on your word is really quite fast...”

Evan looked at Acnologia and sneered, mocking him.

At the same time, Evan felt disdain for Acnologia in his heart: ”Heh, Dragon King!”

”No...”

Cold sweat appeared on Acnologiaʼs forehead. He felt that his brain was somewhat unable to keep up.

”Wait a moment...”

”I did agree to accompany you to defeat the Dragon Gods and the true god, but I never said I would join your Fairy Tail!”

After briefly thinking, Acnologia discovered where the problem lay and asked Evan.

”Tsk...”

Evanʼs expression became somewhat displeased upon hearing this. He could not understand it. Wasnʼt Acnologia already insane? How was his brain still turning so quickly?

”Lord Acnologia seems to have misunderstood something...”

”The prerequisite for going with us to eliminate the Dragon Gods and kill the true god is joining the Mage Guild Fairy Tail we belong to!”

”After all, whether it is eliminating the Dragon Gods or going to kill the true god, there is a certain amount of risk involved! The Mages of our Fairy Tail guild wouldnʼt dare go do something so dangerous together with someone who isnʼt from the guild. It would make my companions, as well as myself, feel very insecure...”

”You should know that not everyone in this world is like you, with a body that is almost completely immune to magic. All of us are relatively fragile...”

After thinking for a moment, Evan smiled and spoke to Acnologia.

”Stop, stop, stop...”

”I understand. I just need to join your Mage Guild Fairy Tail, right?”

”Please stop looking at me with that expression. It makes me feel uneasy!”

As Acnologia listened to the way Evan addressed him and looked at Evanʼs smiling face, his heart suddenly panicked. A faint ominous premonition suddenly rose within him.

At Acnologiaʼs level, such premonitions were still quite accurate. He knew very well that if he did not join the Fairy Tail guild, who knew how Evan would deal with him behind the scenes?!

Because of this, Acnologia decided to compromise. Besides, wasnʼt it just joining a Mage Guild? What could be so great about this Mage Guild? Could it possibly affect his unshaken state of mind from the past four hundred years?

”Sonya, stamp it~”

Evan looked at Acnologiaʼs compromised appearance, the corners of his lips slightly rising, while waving his hand toward Sonya.

”Okay~” Sonya first nodded toward Evan, then looked at Acnologia and asked, ”Lord Acnologia, where do you intend to have this mark placed?”

”Anywhere...”

Acnologia casually waved his hand upon hearing this. He had never troubled himself over such trivial matters. No matter where Sonya placed the mark, he did not care. It was merely a guild mark, after all. It had no meaning.

”Okay~”

With a smile on her face, Sonya stamped the mark onto Acnologiaʼs chest.

Immediately, a white Fairy Tail guild mark appeared on Acnologiaʼs dark chest!

”Hmm? I just feel like this guild mark is strange...”

Acnologia looked at the mark on his chest, his brows tightly furrowed. He inexplicably felt that after having this Fairy Tail guild mark stamped onto him, he seemed to have developed some kind of connection with the Mages of the Fairy Tail guild!

However, this connection was very faint...

Perhaps it was because Acnologiaʼs immunity to magic was extremely high.

”Tsk tsk tsk~”

Evan looked at Acnologia with the Fairy Tail guild mark stamped onto him and lightly shook his head. Since the Fairy Tail guild mark had already been stamped onto his body, everything from now on was no longer up to Acnologia. No one in this world could escape the Fairy Tail guildʼs spiritual invasion, not even a god!

No matter how strong Acnologiaʼs magic immunity was, no matter how powerful his resistance was, one day he would be transformed into a Fairy Tail person by the great power of the Fairy Tail guild...

”Everyone, the Fairy Tail S-Class Mage Promotion Trial is suspended!”

”The battle is already over! We must first return to the guild and recuperate!”

After Evan persuaded Acnologia to surrender.

Evan turned around and loudly shouted toward the Mages of the Fairy Tail guild.

”Phew...”

As Evanʼs voice fell, the S-Class Mage candidates of the Fairy Tail guild all sat down heavily on the ground.

”The battle is finally over!”

”Seriously, I was almost scared to death!”

”Right now, I just want to go back and have a big gulp of beer!”

”Weʼre going back to the guild, weʼre going back to the guild...”

The S-Class Mage candidates of the Fairy Tail guild shouted loudly.

They looked as if they had finally survived hell...

”Damn it! The battle isnʼt over yet!”

”I still want to keep fighting! Evan, Ignia, and Acnologia! You three come at me together! Today Iʼm going to become an S-Class Mage of the Fairy Tail guild...”

However, just as everyone was celebrating peace, flames erupted from Natsuʼs entire body. At this moment, the flames Igneel had left inside Natsu were the power of the Fire Dragon King.

”This guy...”

”Could it be that Natsu has completely mastered that power?”

”Doesnʼt that mean the current Natsu is a monster on par with Evan and the others?”

The S-Class Mage candidates of the Fairy Tail guild sitting on the ground were all shocked when they sensed the endless flames within Natsuʼs body.

They seemed not to have expected that Natsu had completely mastered the power of the Fire Dragon King in such a short period of time.

”Hehe...”

”The Fire Dragon Kingʼs Crushing Fist!”

Natsu merely grinned at his guild companions. Then, wrapped in flames, he charged toward Evan. Natsu felt that he was super strong now. Simply put, Natsu had gotten carried away...

”Natsu, calm down!” Igneel, transformed into a red cat, looked at Natsu charging toward Evan with Dragon Flames radiating from his entire body, cold sweat covering his forehead. His heart was filled with helplessness toward Natsu. ”My idiot son! Even your old man at his peak might not necessarily have been Evanʼs opponent. You have merely mastered part of the power I left inside your body. How could you possibly be Evanʼs opponent?!”

”Azure Dragonʼs Crushing Fist...”

Just as Igneel watched Natsu with a worried gaze, Evan moved!

Evanʼs right hand flashed with the image of an Azure Dragon, and he punched Natsu in the cheek...

”Boom~”

The next second, accompanied by a roar, Natsu was directly sent flying into the sky.

”Ah! He was instantly killed...”

At this moment, Happy looked at Natsu flying into the sky and said blankly.

”As expected, he was one-shotted?”

”I was scared to death. I thought Natsu had already far surpassed us~”

”Now it seems weʼre still on the same level~”

At the same time, the S-Class Mage candidates in the guild all breathed a sigh of relief.

How should one put it? The logic of everyone at this moment was probably that although Natsu had become stronger, Natsu could still be instantly killed by Evan, and they could also be instantly killed by Evan, so they and Natsu were still in the same tier after all...

Ahem...

”Anyway, everyone, back to the guild!”

As Evan spoke, he lightly waved his hand, and immediately a pitch-black portal appeared before everyone.

”Letʼs go!”

As the portal appeared before everyone, the S-Class Mage candidates immediately stood up. Then everyone dusted the dirt off their bodies and entered the portal while chatting and laughing.

When the Mages of the Fairy Tail guild came out of the portal...

What they saw was the incomparably prosperous town of Magnolia!

”Weʼre back, Magnolia!”

At this moment, the S-Class Mage candidates of the Fairy Tail guild all felt as if they had survived a disaster. Looking at the familiar town before them, they shouted loudly, venting the emotions in their hearts.

”Weʼre back~”

Lucy stood among her companions, looking at the sun gradually descending in the sky. Feeling the afterglow of the setting sun, she revealed a brilliant smile.

In the evening, Lucy returned to her rented apartment. Before entering the apartment, she specifically greeted her landlord and confirmed that she had indeed returned to her rented apartment in the town of Magnolia, rather than entering another town that merely resembled Magnolia...

How should one put it? Lucy really had developed some psychological trauma...

”Itʼs nine oʼclock at night...”

The hardworking Lullaby was still steadfastly remaining at its post, reporting the time to the people of Magnolia.

”The S-Class Mage Promotion Trial should have come to an end just like this!”

”Everything seems to have returned to peace...”

”The Fairy Tail guild is still as noisy as usual! But if one day Fairy Tail were no longer this lively, then it wouldnʼt be Fairy Tail anymore, right?”

In this town shrouded by the night, after taking a bath, Lucy sat in her room with her long, fair, bare legs exposed, writing in her diary.

”Phew...”

”Today has finally ended!”

Lucy slowly exhaled a breath of foul air. What she had experienced today had already exceeded the limits of what her brain could endure. At this moment, she was extraordinarily exhausted and only wanted to wash up properly before going to bed and resting.

”Hehe hehe~”

When Lucy removed the light makeup from her face in the washroom, then hummed a cheerful little tune and walked toward her bedroom, she was surprised to discover that her bedroom was actually lit.

”Could there be a thief?”

This shocked Lucy greatly! She suspected that her bedroom had been robbed. Although Lucy thought that a thief who dared come to Magnolia to steal was probably out of his mind, she still became cautious.

Because of this, Lucy held one of the keys to the Twelve Zodiac Spirits, sneaked over to the slightly ajar crack of the bedroom door, then peered inside through the gap...

Immediately afterward, she saw a shocking scene!

”This is...”

Lucy looked through the crack of the door at the scene before her, her eyes filled with disbelief.

After a while, Lucy kicked open the door to her bedroom and angrily walked inside.

”Can someone tell me what on earth is going on here?”

Lucy stood before her large bed with her hands on her hips, angrily asking as she looked at the ʼpeopleʼ lying on the bed.

”Yo, Lucy, long time no see!”

At the same time, Natsu, who was lying on Lucyʼs large bed, waved at Lucy after seeing her return.

”Donʼt say ʼlong time no see.ʼ Why are they here too?”

Lucy no longer wanted to ask why Natsu had appeared in her room. She was already used to Natsu sneaking into her room, but...

That did not mean Ignia, Happy, and Igneel could also come into her room to sleep!

Yes, at this moment, two people and two cats were lying on the double bed, namely Natsu, Ignia, Happy, and Igneel...

”Because weʼre Natsuʼs family!”

Ignia and Igneel calmly looked at Lucy as they spoke.

”Aye!”

Happy nodded forcefully upon hearing this. That was exactly how it was.

”What do you mean, ʼayeʼ?!”

Lucyʼs eye twitched when she heard Happy. She really wanted to kick Happy off her bed.

”Itʼs okay, Lucy. Back when I was inside Natsuʼs body, I often saw you and Natsu lying on the bed together. Iʼve already gotten used to it...”

Igneel, transformed into a cat, comforted Lucy.

”Donʼt say things that sound so ambiguous!”

”Youʼll make people misunderstand...”

Lucyʼs eye twitched when she heard Igneelʼs words.

”Anyway, youʼre not allowed to sleep here!”

Lucy took a deep breath and rose up in resistance.

”Forget it...”

”Since Lucy says so, Iʼll go sleep on the sofa! Iʼll leave the bed to you, Lucy!”

Ignia stood up from the bed very magnanimously upon hearing this.

”But itʼs my bed in the first place. What do you mean by ʼleave it to meʼ?”

”And did I ever say you were allowed to sleep on my sofa?”

Lucy was not buying it.

”Lucy, donʼt be so stingy...”

”We came here because we have something to tell you~”

Happy helplessly spoke as he looked at the petty Lucy.

”Huh?!”

Lucyʼs eye twitched. She wanted to hit someone, or more accurately, hit a cat.

”Lucy, actually, I came to find you this time to discuss the S-Class Mage Promotion Trial.”

Natsu looked at Lucy and spoke seriously.

”S-Class Trial? Didnʼt we already forcibly pass it?”

Lucy was stunned when she heard this.

”What are you talking about, Lucy?!”

”This yearʼs S-Class Mage Promotion Trial hasnʼt even started yet!”

”Have you forgotten what the Guild Master said at the time? The official start of the S-Class Mage Promotion Trial is one week from now...”

Natsu raised his brows upon hearing Lucyʼs words and spoke helplessly.

”Huh?”

”Then doesnʼt that mean all the beating I took today was for nothing?”

Lucyʼs eye twitched when she heard this. She recalled the scene of being knocked flying by Acnologia while sleeping today, and her heart could not calm down.

”Aye!”

Hearing this, Happy nodded forcefully.
