Fairy Tail: Collapsing Stars

Chapter 474: You Fairy Tail People Are Going to Kill Ankhseram?! Are You Crazy?!

”...”

For a moment, the entire scene became extremely quiet. It was a deathly silence!

Whether it was Elefseria, or Evan, Irene, Selene, Ignia, and Acnologia, no one spoke. The gazes of everyone present seemed extremely strange at this moment...

Even Acnologia, who had always been uninterested in matters concerning the Dragon Gods, and who had even become rather listless toward Elefseria—the only one of the four known Dragon Slayers in the history of the Ishgar world to have completely achieved Dragonization—was now suddenly invigorated.

”Could I have discovered some incredible secret? These guys... couldnʼt they be planning to silence me here? No way, right? They really wouldnʼt, right?!”

”Lady Irene is the progenitor of Dragon Slayers. I am a Dragon Slayer, and also Lady Ireneʼs nominal disciple. She wouldnʼt bully her own disciple, right?!”

Cold sweat poured down Elefseriaʼs forehead. For the first time, he regretted having such a loose tongue.

”Hehe~”

Irene seemed to have seen straight through Elefseriaʼs thoughts. She smiled softly, her smile bright and radiant.

Wasnʼt that what disciples were for—to bully them? Wasnʼt it?

”Elefseria...”

In the end, it was Selene, who tended to speak more, who broke the strange silence.

”Here!”

Elefseriaʼs spirits jolted. It was like a student who had been daydreaming in class and was unfortunately called upon by the teacher, forcing him to stand up and answer a question. His body trembled slightly as though an electric current had passed through him, and he immediately stood at attention before the teacher.

”...You truly live up to your title as the Dragon Slayer known as ʼLaw.ʼ You actually managed to guess our ultimate objective? It seems you truly possess wisdom no less than that of Senior Wise Dragon Belserion!”

”Thatʼs right. In this world, the only ones who can make us Dragon Gods! Together with Acnologia, the final Dragon King in the history of the Dragon Race, who won the final Dragon King Festival four hundred years ago...”

”And the founder of Dragon-Slaying Magic, the worldʼs first Dragon Slayer, Irene Belserion! As well as Evan Belserion, the strongest Dragon Slayer of the new era, unite together to oppose us...”

”Are none other than those lofty Gods seated high above the heavens!”

”Elefseria, I hope you can keep this secret and not spread it. Otherwise, whatever kind of panic this ultimately causes in this world, our Dragon Race will bear no responsibility...”

Selene looked deeply at Elefseria with her pale-yellow eyes. Then she looked toward Evan beside her. When Selene saw Evan gently nod at her, indicating that it was fine to reveal the matter to Elefseria, she boldly told Elefseria about Evan and the othersʼ plan.

”Uh...”

Upon hearing this, Elefseria felt his brain tremble, and his thoughts short-circuited for a moment.

At this moment, Elefseria did not even dare tell Selene that he had merely said it casually, that he had simply been talking nonsense without thinking it through. Who would have thought that his words would become a prophecy? If Heaven gave him another chance, he would rather say nothing at all. That way, he would never have learned the ultimate objective of Selene and the others!

Elefseria had lived for more than a hundred years and had long since become indifferent toward all things in the world. Even sealing the Dragon Gods was merely his obsession. At the same time, after living to this age, Elefseria had also realized a principle: when it comes to being human, it is sometimes better to remain ignorant. The less a person knows, the easier it is to live.

”By the way, the Fairy Tail Guild I belong to is also not responsible for this matter!”

Before Elefseria could speak, Selene added another sentence. Clearly, Selene had already become a qualified Fairy Tail member.

”Rest assured! I wonʼt spread this matter!”

Elefseria shook his head at Selene. As long as he was not insane, he would never go around telling people about this. First of all, there was the question of whether he would offend Evan and the others, only to be beaten to death by a group of Dragon God-level and Dragon King-level beings...

Just thinking about how much turmoil and influence spreading this matter would cause throughout Kiltina, or even throughout the entire world of Earth-land, was enough to make Elefseria afraid to imagine it. Clearly, this responsibility was far beyond what Elefseria alone could bear.

”Youʼre a smart man...”

Selene gave Elefseria extremely high praise.

”...”

Elefseria pursed his lips. Although it was rare for Selene to give him such high praise, he was not happy at all. In fact, he was cursing himself in his heart for being such a blabbering idiot.

”Since youʼre so smart, Iʼll reluctantly let you join us! When we decide to slay the Gods, weʼll notify you and let you contribute your strength. Then you, too, can become one of the extremely few among countless morning stars to accomplish the legendary feat of God-slaying. Feel honored!”

Just as Elefseria fell silent, Seleneʼs voice sounded again.

”I...” Upon hearing this, Elefseria cursed inwardly: ”Feel honored my ass! Who wants to slay Gods?!”

”Iʼm sorry, but please allow me to refuse...”

At the same time, Elefseria very much wanted to refuse. However, just as he was about to speak, he sensed two murderous auras. Those two murderous auras made his heart turn cold, and his hair stand on end!

Elefseria followed the murderous auras and looked over, only to see Ignia and Acnologia glaring viciously at him. It seemed that if he dared to say even a single word of refusal, the explosive fists of the Fire Dragon God and the Black Dragon would be smashed into his face. In his current state, with his heart missing, two punches would definitely be enough to send him straight to the afterlife...

Even if he recovered his heart, Elefseria had no confidence in defeating either Ignia or Acnologia one-on-one. As for Ignia and Acnologia attacking him simultaneously, he would undoubtedly lose, with absolutely no chance of victory.

”Looks like I can only ask Irene and Evan for help! They are both reasonable people. Surely they wonʼt force me...”

Elefseria silently thought to himself.

”Ire...”

After thinking for a while and coming up with what to say, Elefseria decided to ask Irene and Evan for help. However, just as he seemed about to speak, he froze!

Because when he looked toward Irene and Evan, both of them were deliberately avoiding his gaze! For a moment, Elefseriaʼs heart turned completely cold...

Yes, when Elefseria saw Irene and Evanʼs attitude of not caring about the matter and simply standing aloof, he understood everything.

Thus, Elefseria swallowed the words that had reached his lips back into his stomach.

”They didnʼt come here to carry out the mission I posted. They clearly came here to give me a mission!”

Elefseria cried inwardly. At this moment, he seemed to understand everything. Perhaps the reason these people had come to find him was precisely to drag him into this mess...

Elefseria had previously wondered why, despite the ʼMoon Dragon Godʼ Selene and the ʼFire Dragon Godʼ Ignia knowing much more about the Dragon Gods than he did, they had still come to him to ask for information about the Dragon Gods.

After all, although he had studied the Dragon Gods for more than a century, there was absolutely no way he could understand Dragons better than the Dragons themselves!

But why had Evan and the others still come to him and asked him about information concerning the Dragon Gods?

It turned out that all the previous conversations had merely been intended to confuse him. The real killing move had been waiting behind them!

They had used foolish conversations to lower his intelligence, and after lowering his intelligence to the same level as Selene and Ignia, they had then used their abundant experience to defeat him...

No, that wasnʼt right. His intelligence wasnʼt even as high as Ireneʼs! In other words, had he actually been within Ireneʼs calculations from the very beginning?

”Is this what it means to be a Wise Dragon?!”

Elefseria was shocked inwardly, while a bitter smile appeared on his face.

”Poor me, at my age, and I still have to be dragged into such troublesome affairs!”

”Sigh...”

Elefseria sighed, his expression helpless. However, he already knew that there was an eighty-percent chance he had no way out.

”Since youʼre not saying anything, Iʼll take it as your agreement!”

Seeing Elefseria remain silent for a long time, his expression filled with emotion, Selene smiled with her beautiful face and spoke to him.

”Do I have the right to refuse?”

Elefseria felt extremely aggrieved and could not help asking.

”Do you think you do?”

Selene did not answer Elefseria directly.

Yet the instant Selene finished speaking, the air in the room dropped several degrees once again...

”This...”

”All right! All right! This is also my fault for talking too much. I shouldnʼt have said that nonsense!”

”However, since Iʼve already decided to join you, at least tell me which God you intend to slay?”

Elefseria gently stroked the snow-white beard on his chin and asked Selene.

”Naturally, itʼs God Ankhseram...”

Selene answered without hesitation.

”Hehe, you mean Ankhseram...”

”Wait, youʼre going to kill Ankhseram? Are you crazy?!”

Upon hearing this, Elefseriaʼs eyes nearly popped out.

On this land, Gods also had different ranks. Just like mages, Gods could be strong or weak. Weak Gods might not necessarily be opponents for ordinary mages. But obviously, this did not include God Ankhseram, who was known as the God of Life and Death...

Without a doubt, God Ankhseram was a powerful God, and not merely a powerful God, but one of the strongest among powerful Gods!

”I once imagined how my life would end! I thought I would definitely be killed by a Dragon God! I never expected that even the Earth Dragon God, Dogramag, wouldnʼt be able to take my life, only for me to end up dying on the road of challenging a God! This really is...the impermanence of life.”

Elefseria muttered softly, seemingly as though his soul had left his body. His legs went weak, and he staggered backward several steps before barely managing to steady himself. Once he had steadied himself, Elefseriaʼs expression was filled with emotion, as though he had suffered some tremendous blow.

For a moment, Elefseria seemed even older. If everyone did not know that the only two people in this world who had been cursed by Ankhseram had not arrived yet, they might have thought that Elefseria had directly endured one of God Ankhseramʼs curses and suffered a massive loss of vitality~

”Donʼt be so pessimistic! Perhaps we wonʼt die. Perhaps we can win~”

Evan and the others looked at Elefseriaʼs grim expression and comforted him with smiles.

As for the possibility that when Evan and the others challenged the Gods, Elefseria might not actually need to go with them, Evan and the others absolutely would not tell him...

”Letʼs hope so!”

Elefseriaʼs lips were dry. He opened his mouth for a long while and thought for a long time. In the end, all that came out between his teeth were three hoarse words.

”Hehe...”

Everyone laughed at this, and everything was left unsaid.

”Then weʼll proceed according to the original plan. Ignia, the Earth Dragon God Dogramag is yours. The rest of us will first accompany me to treat the Water Dragon God Mercphobia, and then weʼll go see the Wood Dragon God Aldoron, who canʼt even sleep peacefully.”

After seeing that the matter with Elefseria had been settled, Evan was in an excellent mood. He smiled and spoke to everyone.

”Good!”

As soon as Evan finished speaking, everyone answered in agreement.

”Then Iʼll go ahead!”

After everyone agreed with Evanʼs plan, Ignia was the first to speak.

”Roar!!”

Ignia released a heaven-shaking dragon roar from his throat. He then transformed into a streak of fire that shot into the sky, directly smashing through the ceiling of the Mage Guild Dragon of the Magic Array. He then transformed into a red giant dragon dozens of meters long, spread his wings, and flew into the distant sky like a streak of red light before disappearing without a trace amid a fluctuation of space.

”Couldnʼt you have left my Mage Guild first before turning into a giant dragon and flying away?”

”Repairing the house is troublesome, you know?!”

Elefseria roared at the red light that had disappeared into the sky in the blink of an eye. He then lightly waved his hand toward the broken ceiling, instantly repairing the ceiling destroyed by Ignia.

”Without further delay, letʼs set out as well!”

Selene patiently waited for Elefseria to restore the ceiling of the Mage Guild Dragon of the Magic Array. Only after Elefseria had completely repaired the ceiling did she begin gathering her magic power.

Selene took a deep breath, and in an instant, it seemed as though endless dragon flames were burning inside her mouth!

After gathering her strength for a moment, she immediately released the flames toward the ceiling Elefseria had just repaired!

”Boom!!”

Accompanied by a thunderous explosion, the Mage Guild that Elefseria had just restored once again became an endless ruin. This time it was even more thorough. The entire ceiling of the Mage Guild Dragon of the Magic Array was reduced to rubble, and even the surrounding walls were ignited by Seleneʼs flames...

The oldest Mage Guild, Dragon of the Magic Array, had been destroyed once again!

”Oh my, sorry~”

”I accidentally turned the Teleportation Magic into Destruction Magic~”

”Oh my, I really am such a beautiful and charming little fool~”

”Ehehe~”

Only after destroying Elefseriaʼs guild did Selene slowly approach him. Imitating the way she had observed humans behaving, she acted cute while apologizing, attempting to get away with it by being adorable!

Immediately afterward, Selene waved her hand and created a portal that humans could pass through. The stability of that portal was absolutely not something that could be created by someone who could genuinely confuse Teleportation Magic with Destruction Magic.

”I...”

For a moment, Elefseria felt flames of fury burning inside his chest. His anger had nowhere to vent.

”Selene, you did that on purpose! You absolutely did that on purpose, didnʼt you?!”

Elefseria gritted his teeth and glared at Selene as he shouted.

”How could that be? I absolutely didnʼt do it on purpose~”

Selene smiled sweetly at Elefseria and continued acting cute.

”Youʼre a Dragon with spatial attributes! Youʼre telling me you can confuse spatial magic with Destruction Magic? What kind of joke is that...”

Elefseriaʼs eyelids twitched violently. He felt that Selene was insulting his intelligence.

”Believe it or not! Evan, letʼs go quickly! Itʼll be bad if weʼre late~”

Selene said this and stopped paying attention to Elefseria, instead speaking to Evan and the others.

”All right!”

Evan rubbed his slightly aching head before leading everyone through the Teleportation Magic portal.

”Buzz!”

Almost in the blink of an eye, Evan and the others disappeared from Elefseriaʼs sight...

Leaving only Elefseria and endless ruins to stand in the cold wind in disarray.

”Damn you, Selene! Damn Dragon God! Iʼll never coexist with the Dragon Gods!”

Elefseria looked toward the sky and let out a miserable howl.

After a while, Elefseria weakly added:

”Iʼll never coexist with Dragon Gods outside the Fairy Tail Guild!”

It seemed that even Elefseria himself had failed to notice that during the time he had spent with Evan and the others, he had gradually become Fairy Tail-ified.

Meanwhile...

Northern Continent Kiltina, southern region, Barylia...

The coastal city of Elumina, facing the Ishgar Continent from afar!

”Buzz!”

Accompanied by a rumbling sound, Evan, Irene, Selene, and Acnologia arrived at this frontier city located in the Northern Continent of Kiltina.

”Youʼre too slow! I already finished persuading Dogramag, and Iʼve been waiting here for you for a long time!”

As Evan and the others arrived, an irritated voice reached their ears.

”Ignia?!”

Evan and the others looked toward the voice, only to see a shirtless young man apparently waiting at the edge of the town for quite some time.

”Ignia, shouldnʼt you have gone to negotiate with the Earth Dragon God?”

”Could it be that you failed to complete the mission and shamelessly ran here to ask us for help?”

Before Evan could speak, Selene questioned Ignia.

”What a joke! Do you think Iʼm like you, always dropping the ball at critical moments?”

”How could I possibly fail to complete the mission!”

”Besides, what do you think my relationship with that guy Dogramag is?”

”How could he possibly refuse me?!”

Igniaʼs expression became displeased as he spoke to Selene.

”Very suspicious...”

Selene stared at Ignia with both eyes. A womanʼs intuition told her that this bastard Ignia was definitely plotting something.

”...”

Irene and Evan shared Seleneʼs opinion.

”Ahem...”

”Having the Wings of Fire, I persuaded Dogramag within thirty seconds and then came to Elumina to wait. I made it in time, didnʼt I?”

Ignia looked at everyoneʼs distrustful expressions, his face changing slightly as he coughed softly a few times and asked.

”Forget it. Whatever youʼre planning doesnʼt matter.”

Evan stared at Ignia for a while. Only after Ignia nervously shrank his neck did Evan withdraw his gaze. Evan had absolute confidence in himself. No matter what Ignia was planning, he could subdue him.

”Come to think of it, Ignia, with your personality, after arriving at Elumina early, would you really obediently wait here for us? Based on my understanding of you, shouldnʼt you have gone alone to find the Water Dragon God?”

At this moment, Irene looked at Ignia and asked.

”Isnʼt this because I was afraid of stealing your mission? If I werenʼt worried that being defeated by the excellent me would hurt your self-esteem, I would have dealt with that bastard Mercphobia already...”

Igniaʼs eye twitched slightly after hearing Ireneʼs words. He tilted his head and spoke.

”Because Mercphobia is the Water Dragon God, his attribute slightly counters Igniaʼs. So this guy doesnʼt have much confidence in dealing with Mercphobia, right?”

”Incidentally, among the original Six Dragon Gods, apart from me, the Moon Dragon God, the attributes of the other five Dragon Gods correspond to the cycle of mutual generation and mutual restraint...”

Selene covered her mouth and giggled as she spoke to Ignia, conveniently answering Ireneʼs question.

And the truth was indeed so. Apart from Selene, the attributes of the other Dragon Gods corresponded precisely to the Five Elements of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. On the surface, they seemed to mutually generate and restrain one another...

”Who did you say doesnʼt have the confidence to deal with that piece of trash Mercphobia?!”

Ignia roared at Selene upon hearing this.

”I see...”

Irene and Evan simultaneously nodded toward Selene.

”Donʼt believe her!”

Igniaʼs originally serious face flashed with embarrassment.

”You can easily sense it after coming here...”

”That enormous magic power.”

While Ignia, Selene, and the others were chatting and teasing one another...

Acnologia arrived at the edge of the town. His eyes narrowed slightly as he seemed to have already detected the magic power of the Water Dragon God Mercphobia.

”What? Are you afraid? If you are, I can protect you! After all, I am an existence who has surpassed you and even my father, Igneel!”

Ignia laughed after hearing Acnologiaʼs words.

”Get lost!”

Acnologia responded with only those two words before saying nothing more.

”What?! Who the hell are you telling to get lost?”

Igniaʼs forehead tightened with bulging veins, before gradually relaxing.

”Iʼm talking about you! Whatʼs wrong? Not convinced? Looking for a beating? Want to die? Come on!”

Even with only one arm, Acnologia was confident that he could completely crush Ignia.

”Hah?!”

Ignia became furious upon hearing this.

For a moment, the magic power of Ignia and Acnologia surged simultaneously, and the atmosphere between the two became tense.

”These two guys are at it again...”

”Are they children?! All they know how to do all day is fool around!”

Selene, standing beside Ignia and Acnologia, sighed helplessly as she watched the two clash once again.

”You have no right to say that about anyone else, do you? You and Irene seem to fight even more often than Ignia and Acnologia...”

Evan, who had remained silent all this time, twitched his eyelids slightly as he silently thought this while looking at Selene.

Yes, even Evan only dared to say these words in his heart. After all, one careless remark could mean offending both Irene and Selene.

”Hehe~”

As for Irene, she continued smiling, apparently enjoying the spectacle.

”Hehe, forget it. I wonʼt bother arguing with you!”

Just as the atmosphere between Ignia and Acnologia had dropped to its lowest point, seemingly ready to erupt into a fight at any moment, Ignia suddenly laughed and retracted his magic power.

”Hmph!”

Acnologia looked at Ignia as he withdrew his magic power and likewise retracted his own. He could be said to have spared Igniaʼs life for Evanʼs sake.

If this had been more than four hundred years ago, he would not be called Acnologia if he did not twist Igniaʼs head off...

Although, more than four hundred years ago, he technically wasnʼt called Acnologia yet.

”However, Acnologia, how about we have a little competition...”

”Letʼs see who can find that guy, the Water Dragon God Mercphobia, first!”

”Whoever finds Mercphobia first will be the true strongest Dragon King! And the loser will be a lowly Dragon! I wonder whether Lord Acnologia, who claims to be invincible under the heavens, dares to compete with me?”

Ignia looked at Acnologia eagerly as he spoke.

”What a childish provocation. Only children would be baited by something like that, right?!”

”Acnologia absolutely wonʼt be provoked into anger by something of this level.”

Selene curled her lips. The provocations between Ignia and Acnologia were more like childish bickering between children. It was simply far too immature.

At the same time, Selene was confident that Acnologia would not fall for Igniaʼs provocation. After all, Acnologia was, in any case, the final Dragon King of the Dragon Race. The dignity of a Dragon King should still exist...

”Ah? Foolish!”

Just as Selene was thinking this, Acnologia spoke, opening with an insult toward Ignia.

”Hehe, just as expected. Acnologia wonʼt take the bait! Letʼs see what Ignia does next! Will he give up, or will he directly fight Acnologia?”

”If Acnologia and Ignia really fight, will this damn brat Ignia have his head twisted off by Acnologia? How exciting~”

Selene had long since disliked Ignia. After all, the Fairy Tail Guild did not need two Dragon Gods.

”I am Dragon King Acnologia! How could I possibly lose to trash like you?! You lowly Dragon!”

Just as Selene was looking forward to Ignia and Acnologia fighting, Acnologia suddenly roared at Ignia.

”He got provoked? Acnologia actually got provoked?!”

Seleneʼs face was filled with shock.

”Eh?! Really?”

”What kind of alternate-world joke is this?!”

”Acnologia actually got provoked by this idiot Igniaʼs childish taunting?!”

”Are they children?! Even Kurnugi wouldnʼt fall for such an immature provocation!”

Selene could not understand. Even her useless idiot son would not fall for this trick. So how had it actually worked on Acnologia?!

”Hahaha! Then letʼs compete!”

Just as Selene stood dumbfounded, Ignia roared and transformed into a mass of flames that flew toward the sky.

”Hmph, ridiculous!”

Acnologia looked at Ignia flying away, snorted coldly, and transformed into a streak of black light.

In an instant, the two transformed into the forms of giant dragons and soared through the sky!

”Those two idiots...”

Selene was already at a loss for words.

”But fortunately, Evan would never be provoked by something at this level! If even Evan could fall for this kind of provocation, I would have to start considering whether our Fairy Tail God-slaying plan could succeed!”

Selene looked at Ignia and Acnologia, who had transformed into two streaks of light and flown toward the sea in the blink of an eye. Her eyelids twitched violently. At the same time, Selene glanced at Evan beside her, and her originally flustered heart gradually calmed down. Yes, as long as Evan was here, even if Ignia and Acnologia were a little childish, so what?

”Meaningless conflict. It is nothing more than a competition between two lowly Dragons. Even if I donʼt go looking for Mercphobia, the strongest Dragon King still belongs to me, Evan.”

Meanwhile, Evan looked at Ignia and Acnologia taking off and coldly laughed inwardly.

Perhaps Selene did not understand, but men could be exceptionally stubborn and childish in certain matters! Men remain boys until death...

On the other side, deep beneath the endless sea, inside that imposing palace, a man with azure-blue hair and horns on his head slowly awakened from his throne. The awakened man possessed a melancholy gaze mixed with a hint of divinity, making him intimidating to behold.

”Did that guy Elefseria find people again, those bastards who come without asking right or wrong and shout about wanting to eliminate you?”

”Those bastards deserve to die! Iʼll immediately gather the warriors of the sea and crush those mages!”

Standing beside that elegant man was a graceful young woman with exquisite facial features. A sea-blue pair of glasses rested on the bridge of her nose, making her look refined yet intellectual. No matter from which angle she was viewed, she was a lovely girl. Yet this lovely girl now wore a vicious expression, seemingly harboring an extraordinary hatred toward Elefseria...

Yes, this girl was undoubtedly human. However, as a human, she trusted the man beside her far more than she trusted Elefseria!

Regardless of how outsiders defined that man as evil, regardless of how outsiders claimed that the man beside her was a demon who had slaughtered countless living beings, in the girlʼs eyes, the man would always be kind! He was the Water God who protected her, and even the entire town!

”No, this timeʼs guests shouldnʼt be people Elefseria could invite...”

Mercphobia, the Water Dragon God, shook his head upon hearing this. He looked upward toward the distant surface of the sea, his eyes carrying a hint of worry.

”That is Igniaʼs and Seleneʼs magic power! Besides that, there are three other magic powers no weaker than those of us Dragon Gods, and perhaps even greater than ours! I never imagined that apart from the six of us, this world would possess such powerful existences...”

”Looks like my beautiful dream will eventually awaken! Iʼve been acting as the Water God for quite some years now. It is also time for this to come to an end...”

Mercphobia, the Water Dragon God, muttered to himself.

”Lord Mercphobia!”

The girl named Karami, who willingly served the Water God, felt her heart tighten after hearing Mercphobiaʼs words.

”Lord Mercphobia, please donʼt panic. We are deep beneath the sea, and you are the great Water God. You are an invincible existence within the sea! No matter how many people come, Lord Mercphobia will definitely be able to defeat them!”

Karami placed both hands before her full chest and looked nervously at Mercphobia, the Water Dragon God. Although Karami believed that Mercphobia was the most powerful existence in the world, when Mercphobia muttered to himself with such worry, her heart still became chaotic.

”This timeʼs guests are different...”

”Karami, take this opportunity to leave.”

Mercphobia turned his head toward Karami and urged her.

”I wonʼt leave your side. I will follow you forever, until this body dies!”

Karami shook her head after hearing Mercphobiaʼs words.

”Fool.”

Mercphobia looked at Karami with pity in his eyes.

Although he very much wanted to send Karami away directly, Mercphobia knew that given Karamiʼs personality, even if he sent her away, she would probably do something extreme. It was safer to keep her by his side. At least, he could negotiate with the visitors later and, in exchange for his own life, ask them to protect Karami and allow her to live out a happy life.

”Itʼs all right, Lord Water God. You are invincible in the sea!”

Karami seemed to sense Mercphobiaʼs intentions. Her body could not help trembling as she murmured those words, not knowing whether she was saying them for Mercphobia to hear or for herself.

”Boom!!”

Just as Karami finished speaking, a great sun suddenly descended from the sky.

The sea...disappeared!
