Longevity by Picking up Attributes in the Battlefield

Chapter 531: Chapter 223: Colluding with Foreign Tribes? Qin, Ying Zheng’s Gratification!

Looking at the Qing Qin before him.

Zhao Feng did not hesitate, dismounted, and tossed the Tyrant Spear towards Zhang Ming.

Then he walked forward and helped Qing Qin stand up.

”General Qing Qin surrendered for the lives of tens of thousands of soldiers in the city, a great virtuous deed.”

”I, Zhao Feng, on behalf of the Qin, accept the surrender of all Yan soldiers in the city.”

”And assure all, the Qin will never increase bloodshed unnecessarily.” Zhao Feng promised Qing Qin.

Upon hearing these words.

Qing Qin sighed with relief, then turned to the many generals who had fought alongside him.

”The entire army, hear my command.” Qing Qin raised his sword and shouted loudly.

”We humbly await the order.”

Dozens of Yan Generals bowed.

All the Yan Army behind also bowed deeply.

”By the order of the Grand General of Yan, I command you to lay down your arms, remove your battle armor.”

”Our army has surrendered.”

Qing Qin said loudly, his voice tinged with a kind of bitter reluctance.

But it was more a release of redemption.

Now they were surrounded; if he did not surrender, it would only result in pointless casualties.

The reinforcements could not possibly arrive in time.

The ultimate outcome would be nearly two hundred thousand buried here.

After all, their morale had already collapsed; continued fighting would only lead to death.

Now with the surrender, needless casualties could be avoided, and perhaps a better future could be given to these soldiers.

”We obey your command.”

All the Yan Army soldiers behind Qing Qin loudly responded.

The next moment.

A clattering sound.

Weapons dropped, and the sound of armor being removed echoed everywhere in the city.

This battle of Yuyang was also the Yan nation’s battle of national fate, and Yan had lost!

”General Zhao Feng.”

Qing Qin turned his head and looked at Zhao Feng again.

”Please speak, General.” Zhao Feng replied softly.

”May I ask, after these two hundred thousand soldiers surrender, how will the Qin treat them?” Qing Qin asked concernedly.

”In the past, for those surrendered soldiers captured by our Qin, we have two ways of dealing.”

”All become slaves, needing merit to erase their status.”

”First, they are reorganized into the Penal Battalion, serving the Qin and by killing enemies they can erase their slave status, regain their homeland, return to their villages.”

”Second, they are organized into labor battalions, serving Qin for five years, and can gain freedom, returning to their countryside.” Zhao Feng slowly explained.

Hearing this.

Qing Qin was relieved, bowed to Zhao Feng: ”Qin’s treatment of surrendered soldiers is generous.”

Amongst the various countries.

Perhaps only the Qin would have such a method of handling surrendered soldiers.

The other countries have only two options for dealing with surrendered soldiers.

Either redeemed by their homeland with a large sum of money.

However.

Most surrendered soldiers would never get the chance for their homeland to redeem them; after all, they surrendered, and their lives were no longer cared for by their homeland, unless they were some notable talent.

So the only method of dealing for various countries was eternal slavery, sold to the populace, eternally slaves.

And the Qin’s method of handling could be called an act of favor.

It was due to this method.

Zhao Feng did not know how much interest from the Great Qin Dynasty Court he had disturbed, which is one of the reasons he was targeted by Wang Wan and others.

Previously, slaves entering the Qin, many would flow into the populace, why would they? Naturally, it was due to the efforts of those officials.

”Being part of the Huaxia Ethnic Group, how can it be too much?” Zhao Feng said with a gentle smile.

Hearing these words.

Qing Qin was somewhat stunned looking at Zhao Feng.

But then he smiled: ”The soldiers of Yan in the city, I request General Zhao Feng to take care.”

”I hope when the Qin advances in the future, the General will treat the Yan citizens kindly, and not cause unnecessary bloodshed.”

After speaking.

Qing Qin took a step back.

Then.

Directly drew the sword at his side.

Several trusted aides behind Zhao Feng immediately stepped forward, eyes vigilant.

But the next moment.

Qing Qin directly placed the sword to his neck.

”General.”

”Don’t.”

”General...”

Seeing Qing Qin’s sudden action.

The many Yan Generals behind urgently shouted, revealing their anxious expressions.

”Today Qing Qin surrenders to the Qin not out of disloyalty.”

”But to preserve the lives of soldiers in the city, an unavoidable defeat, unnecessary sacrifice.”

”Yet.”

”Qing Qin is not a disloyal person.”

”Today, die to atone for my sins, repaying the king’s grace.”

Qing Qin loudly proclaimed after surveying the scene.

The next moment.

With resolute determination, a slash to his neck with the sword.

Blood spurted.

Qing Qin’s body fell powerlessly.

”General.”

”General...”

The Yan soldiers behind wailed and cried out.

Zhao Feng took a look, and slowly walked to Qing Qin’s side.

Putting his hand on Qing Qin for a moment, then in the next moment, a stream of True Qi directly surged into Qing Qin, sealing his heart vessels, preventing him from bleeding to death temporarily.

For such loyal and righteous men, Zhao Feng naturally did not want to watch him die, since he still had a chance to win him over.

In the chaotic times to come.

Zhao Feng needed many talents.

Although Qing Qin did not have the ability to command an army like Li Mu, he was competent enough as a Deputy General, capable of holding his own.

Afterwards.

Zhao Feng stood up and gave Zhang Ming a look.

Then loudly proclaimed: ”General Qing Qin is a person of loyalty and righteousness, worthy of admiration.”

”Convey my command.”

”Bury General Qing Qin with honors.”

Immediately Zhang Ming accepted the order: ”Subordinate accepts the command.”

Then Zhang Ming gestured and directly had several trusted aides carry Qing Qin away.

”Generals.”

”Now that you have surrendered to our Qin, I will not discard you like spent horses.”

”But Yan is not yet secured, Qin laws not yet implemented, you will be under supervision. However, rest assured, your daily life in the Qin Army will be taken care of.” Zhao Feng said loudly.
