Chapter 528: Chapter 222: City Breached! The Fall of Yan Approaches!

It seems like in the moments before his death.

That gaze seemed to question why Zhang Han suddenly turned against him.

And after Zhang Han thrust his spear forward, ending the life of the Yan General before him.

The Great Qin Cavalry behind him showed no hesitation.

”Kill!”

The shout resounded throughout the East City.

Each cavalryman quickly raised their spears and charged at the unprepared Yan Army around them.

In an instant.

The Yan Army was bloodied, corpses strewn everywhere.

Zhang Han personally led the way, empowered by True Qi, his spear sweeping mightily.

Riding the warhorse through, unstoppable.

The cavalry rapidly spread out, massacring the Yan Army, even though these Yan soldiers had black cloth tied around their arms, as a mark agreed upon with Qin for surrendering soldiers, yet they were not spared from death.

All of this was a trap.

A ruse to deceive Yue Cheng into opening the East City Gate.

The thirty thousand soldiers of the Wu’an Military Camp attacked from both sides, capturing Yuyang City in one fell swoop.

”What is happening?”

”Didn’t General Yue Cheng say that with the black cloth, the Qin Army would regard us as their own?”

”Why are they suddenly attacking us?”

”Fight back, quickly fight back.”

”Engage... ”

At the East City Gate of Yuyang, countless Yan soldiers were in disarray.

Originally, they had intended for the Qin Army to enter the city unprepared, then cut them off from behind, surrounding and annihilating them from both sides, but now it was a joke.

The Qin Army hadn’t fallen for it at all, nor did they ever believe them.

”Wu’an Cavalry Camp.”

”Follow me and pierce through Yuyang.”

”Block our army’s advance, and there will be no mercy.”

”Before the city is secured, leave no survivors.”

”Kill,” Zhang Han shouted loudly.

Leading the army crazily into the city.

He led the charge along the main road within the city.

The other five Wanjiang led their various subordinate units from places within the city, along the city walls, along every road, killing all except those of the black-armored Qin Army.

With such an formation.

A massive number of Qin Cavalry frenziedly charged in, frenziedly slaughtering.

Even though the Yan Army was reacting, they were still at a severe disadvantage, the chaotic arrows from the city walls couldn’t stop them at all.

Moreover, the Yan soldiers under the city were completely scattered by the charge of the Qin Cavalry.

”Infantry, charge in.”

”Kill.”

Deputy General Liu Wang shouted loudly.

Following closely behind the cavalry into the city, while outside the city, the archers engaged in a shooting duel with the Yan archers on the city walls.

Rushing into the city, engaging in close combat, gradually capturing the city walls.

This action.

Was achieved at hardly any cost, killing countless enemies, successfully breaking through the East Gate of Yuyang City.

Within the East City.

”Senior General.”

”Bad news.”

”The Qin Army is charging in.”

A deputy general reported to Yue Cheng in panic.

”The Qin Army fell into the trap, that’s good news.”

”Once they fall into the snare, no matter how many come, they will all meet their demise.” Yue Cheng sneered arrogantly, unaware of the situation.

”Senior General.”

”Something’s wrong.”

”After the Qin Army entered the city, they did not speak with our forces at all, they just charged and attacked immediately.”

”Tens of thousands of Qin Cavalry charged into the city, the army defending the East City has been scattered by the Qin Army, the Qin Army has already taken control of the East City Gate.” The deputy general anxiously reported.

”What?”

Yue Cheng’s expression changed dramatically, exclaiming in surprise, ”Why is this?”

”Senior General.”

”We’ve been deceived.”

”The Qin Army used us to open the city gates, they never intended to use us as inside agents, they just wanted to trick the gates open.”

”They are attacking from both the West Gate and the East Gate.”

”Our ambush set up has already been crushed by the Qin Army.”

”The ambush has failed.”

”The Qin Cavalry is about to charge in.” The deputy general reported in a panic.

Yue Cheng’s face instantly turned pale as paper, his heart pounding wildly.

”Caught in a trap, I fell for Zhao Feng’s stratagem.”

”He never trusted that I would genuinely surrender to the Qin from start to finish, he used my past as a defecting general, thinking I would truly surrender, but he saw through me.”

”He just wanted me to open the city gates.”

Thinking of this.

Yue Cheng’s face drained of all color.

At this moment.

The once confident him found his body slightly faltering.

He originally believed confidently that he could devour the Qin forces entering the city in this battle, defeating Zhao Feng in one fell swoop, and even gaining fame throughout the world, protecting Yan from perishing.

But in the end, he was just a pawn, and now, he felt like a clown.

”Zhao Feng.”

”Great tactics.”

”You truly employ excellent tactics.”

”You can even see through human hearts, knowing that I would not surrender to Qin.”

Yue Cheng, driven to a bitter smile, eventually turned it into iciness, his eyes filled with a resolute killing intent.

”Soldiers of Great Yan.”

”The tyrannical Qin intends to destroy our Great Yan.”

”Today, I, Yue Cheng, will fight to the death with the Qin Army here.”

”Soldiers of Great Yan.”

”Battle against them,” Yue Cheng shouted loudly, ordering an engagement.

Now the ambush has become an empty maneuver.

The pincer attack is even more laughable.

As the Qin Cavalry frantically charged into the city, everything had become unreal.

West City!

”Reporting to Senior General.”

”The city wall at the West Gate has already fallen.”

”The Qin Army’s assault is fierce.”

”Reporting to Senior General.”

”The first line of defense of the outer city has been breached by the Qin Army.”

”Report.”

”The Qin Army has already attacked the second line of defense, our soldiers cannot withstand the Qin Army’s assault.”

...

Within the Inner City Mansion.

One piece of bad news after another arrived, causing Qing Qin’s face to become extremely grim.

”How did it come to this?”

”No matter how strong the Qin Army is, they are still flesh and blood.”

”I stationed 150,000 troops in West City for defense, ten lines of defense, if one is breached, reinforcements should hold, so why has it been broken through by the Qin Army?” Qing Qin asked coldly.

”Senior General.”

”The combat power of the Qin Army is too strong.”

”The Qin Senior General Zhao Feng even led from the front, each Qin soldier is unafraid of death.”

”Our troops are no match.” A Yan General immediately replied.
