Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 343: Chapter 284: The Fallen Lord’s Back-Scrubbing Service, The Decoy Plan

Zong Shen quickly fell asleep, emitting gentle snores.

...

At three past four in the morning, Zong Shen was awakened by Luna.

He had instructed Luna to wake him around this time.

Luna could breathe in and out moonlight at night, substituting for sleep, so she didn’t sleep at all these days and spent every night in the courtyard.

Zong Shen leisurely got up, feeling unusually not fully rested.

Usually, with his constitution, just sleeping for five or six hours was enough to recover from fatigue.

This time, he was indeed overexerted.

He took out the Moon God Spring Water and gulped down a few sips.

Besides restoring Life Value and Mana, healing injuries, the Moon God Spring Water could effectively restore energy. Previously, Zong Shen was reluctant to use it just to restore energy.

But recently, the territory’s resources have been abundant, and the iron ore has replaced part of the Moon God Spring Water’s trade status.

This made the reserves of Moon God Spring Water in the territory increasingly ample.

After drinking a couple of sips of Moon God Spring Water, Zong Shen finally shook off his sleepiness, jumped out of bed, and began to put on his equipment. Once fully equipped, he stepped out of his room, went downstairs directly, and left the Lord’s Small Tower.

He came to the courtyard outside and began to gather his men.

A few minutes later, Wolf Cavalry Squad One and the Exploration Squad were all gathered at the courtyard gate.

Except for Favide, that guy was still at the Burrow Frontline.

According to Wenresa’s report, Favide rested only for two or three hours, and then continued fighting fiercely. With such a diligent battle, he finally accumulated 1000 Slaughter Value at midnight and summoned the fourth Two-headed Hellhound.

This pleased Zong Shen greatly; Favide indeed possessed workaholic traits, along with a touch of paranoia and a propensity for grinding, giving the Theseus’ Slaying Staff to him was a fitting choice.

This expedition team gained one more member, Hoy.

After the team was well prepared, Zong Shen took out the Burden-Bearer Mecha, allowing those without mounts in the Exploration Squad to ride while he mounted Pigsy once again.

This time Zong Shen chose a different direction, heading west of the territory.

Why choose west? Because he explored this direction less frequently.

The density of Burrow Monsters should be higher here.

As for the south, there are people like Jiang Yi and Medina. With their strength, they probably cleared many Burrow Monsters in recent days, making the density likely lower.

As for the north, that direction has mountains and the Burial Ground, and currently, Zong Shen hasn’t discovered many burrows in the northern area.

So choosing the west is a relatively suitable direction. Zong Shen now needs to find areas densely populated with monsters to gain sufficient rewards.

He plans to use himself as bait to hunt those Burrow Heroes and rush to kill more Burrow Monsters before the Burrow Challenge ends.

The task for this trip is actually very simple: to find Burrow Heroes and large monster swarms, then use the Demon Deterrence trait to attract Burrow Heroes while hunting the Burrow Monster Swarm to gain Experience Value and Points.

By noon, the Burrow Challenge will refresh Tier Seven strength monsters, and new challenges might appear, entering a so-called final challenge phase. Zong Shen aims to seize the end of the Burrow Challenge to gain more benefits.

If fatigue hadn’t affected combat effectiveness and increased the risk of staff injuries, Zong Shen would rather not rest and hunt Burrow Monsters day and night.

With the team prepared, Zong Shen rode Pigsy, leading the way with Wolf Cavalry Squad One and Luna, the rest followed behind, riding in a Burden-Bearer Mecha driven by a Dragonized Spear and Shield Warrior carrying other members of the Exploration Squad.

The hunting squad sets off again, heading towards the west.

The journey was eerily quiet, with only a sparse scattering of Burrow Monsters wandering on the land.

Most Burrow Monsters had been gathered by the Burrow Heroes earlier.

After clustering together, Burrow Monsters were no longer wandering outside.

Now they moved clearly in medium to large groups, targeting specific areas.

Zong Shen led the warriors west for seven or eight kilometers, finally discovering a Burrow Monster Swarm of about three thousand heads at the edge of a territory.

This territory was under siege by the Burrow Monster Swarm, creating a precarious situation; the monsters had surrounded one side of the territory.

The territory hadn’t fallen yet; the sounds of battle were audible, indicating that the Burrow Monster Swarm recently invaded, with the territory’s lord still resisting.

Zong Shen halted a few hundred meters behind the Burrow Monster Swarm. All members of the Exploration Squad dismounted from the Burden-Bearer Mecha, while Zong Shen put it away and drew his Dual Blades.

”Advance with me, mind your own pace.”

”Pax, aim the Flame Storm Magic at the densest area of monsters.”

”Other mages start attacking with Tier One Ordinary Magic.”

”Wolf Riders, form squads, attack freely, mind your positions.”

”Luna, lead the female hunters in the rear, attack while also protecting the rear.”

”Other close combat soldiers attack freely, but pay close attention to your position and pace; don’t get carried away and fall deep into monsters.”

Zong Shen instructed the warriors, raising his Dual Blades.

Then he charged forward on Pigsy, aiming for the monsters’ weak spot; they were all attacking the front territory, turning their backs to Zong Shen’s direction.

Riding Pigsy, Zong Shen dashed into the monster swarm, activating Demon Deterrence!

The nearby monster swarm, suddenly alerted to danger, began to retreat in panic, avoiding Zong Shen.

However, due to the opposing direction, he couldn’t cause the same large-scale chaos as before.

Nonetheless, the deterred Burrow Monsters were still easy to kill. Under Demon Deterrence, their inherent fear outweighed their instinct to attack, causing them to continuously retreat.

Zong Shen’s side charged like wolves and tigers; after Zong Shen was Wolf Cavalry Squad, using Cavalry Saber Slash to quickly cut down the outermost Burrow Monsters.

Then came the close combat soldiers, dragonized and...

Retreating in fear, avoiding Zong Shen.
