Global Lords: I Have Information System

Traditional Chinese medicinal materials containing aconitine include Chuanwu, Caowu, Fuzi, Fall Gold Money, Snow on One Branch Artemisia, Iron Rod Hammer type, etc. Among them, Chuanwu, Caowu, Fuzi, and Snow on One Branch Artemisia are the most commonly used medicinal materials.

Chuanwu and Caowu mainly warm the middle and dispel cold, alleviate wind and relieve pain; Fuzi can revive and rescue from adversity, replenish fire and assist yang; Snow on One Branch Artemisia has remarkable efficacy in treating rheumatism bone pain and bruises with swelling and pain. Therefore, the secret recipe for medicinal wine popular among the people is mostly brewed from these kinds of medicinal materials. Regarding its toxicity, Snow on One Branch Artemisia is the most toxic, tens of times that of Chuanwu and Caowu; it is clinically prohibited from internal use and can only be for external use, if internally used, it must be strictly controlled under the guidance of a professional doctor. The toxicity of Caowu is greater than Chuanwu, and Fuzi is a processed product of Chuanwu’s child roots, with the least toxicity among these medicinal materials.

Principles of treating aconitine poisoning

Reduce toxin absorption and promote toxin excretion. Timely and thorough gastric lavage, purgation, and diuresis.

Timely, early, correct, and reasonable use of atropine for toxic confrontation; Lidocaine, Amiodarone, etc. are used to correct arrhythmia.

Maintain effective life support. Keep the airway open, intubate if necessary, and use mechanical ventilation; timely perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillation if malignant arrhythmia such as ventricular fibrillation occurs.

Prevent infection, maintain acid-base and electrolyte balance, treat complications.

When the condition of the poisoned person allows, perform hemoperfusion treatment as soon as possible to further promote toxin excretion.

If feeling numb in the lips, face, limbs, heart palpitations, dizziness, excessive sweating, and cold clammy skin after drinking medicinal wine or other unknown alcoholic beverages, keep the consumed liquor for testing to clarify the type of toxin if conditions allow.

While waiting for ”120” to arrive, the following actions can be taken to gain valuable treatment time for the poisoned person, divided into two situations:

1. The poisoned person is conscious and can cooperate with treatment: Assist the poisoned person to repeatedly induce vomiting to reduce toxin absorption. Encourage the patient to drink plenty of water, and use a spoon or chopsticks to press the tongue root to stimulate vomiting. Place the patient in a ventilated environment and closely monitor their consciousness and symptom development to provide useful information to medical personnel upon arrival at the hospital.

2. The poisoned person is no longer conscious: Immediately lay the poisoned person flat in a ventilated place, loosen the collar, and keep warm. Turn the head to one side, maintain airway patency, and prevent aspiration of vomit that can lead to asphyxiation. If cardiac arrest occurs, perform effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation with experience to gain crucial rescue time for the arriving ”120”.

Once again remind the public, if discomfort occurs, seek medical attention early, and do not blindly trust folk claims about medicinal wine curing diseases; if seeking to strengthen the body and nourish the foundation, seek a legitimate healthcare institution for health prescriptions, and strictly adhere to the dosage and usage under the guidance of doctors.

The 2021 World Artificial Intelligence Conference opened today. Many participating guests proposed to pay more attention to the application of artificial intelligence in various industries.

So how should the progress of artificial intelligence applications be accelerated in the future?

Huawei’s Rotating Chairman Hu Houkun suggests, firstly, gatherforces, vigorously develop new city infrastructure represented by AI computing centers, so that AI computing power becomes a new municipal public resource like water and electricity, making intelligence within reach. In the digital economy era, computing power should be an accessible and affordable public resource, without enough AI computing power, like lacking water and electricity, would greatly restrict the city’s digitalization progress.

In the early stages of reform and opening-up, to get rich, roads must be built first. At the current critical time point for vigorously developing the digital economy, constructing new city infrastructure represented by AI computing centers is particularly important.

Presently, over 20 cities nationwide have recognized this problem and actively carried out planning and construction work for AI computing centers, with Huawei having the fortunate participation in some projects.

Through practice, Hu Houkun believes that to build a good AI computing center, one must reasonably plan; second, the planning work should focus on the big picture, the architectural consideration should be goal-oriented, while the deployment and construction work should start small, advance step by step according to demand changes, quickly iterate upgrade. This allows investment to always exert maximum efficacy; third, in this process, the government, technology providers, and extensive application units must cooperate closely, simultaneously construct and guide application to land, thereby driving local industry upgrade and development.

Guided by the above principles, the Wuhan AI computing center planned last year started full operation on May 30 this year, providing ample computing power for local colleges and research institutions. Hu Houkun revealed that after more than one month of operation, the Wuhan AI computing center has begun its second phase expansion. ”This approach ensures the equipment operates at full capacity, optimally utilizing investment, and becomes an important driver of the local digital economy development.”

Moreover, technology must be rooted deep, strong roots lead to lush growth. In today’s complex environment, this is especially important for the development of China’s industry.

55-year-old Ms. Liu has experienced hearing loss in her right ear over the past six months, accompanied by tinnitus, and occasionally a feeling of facial numbness, already severely affecting her greatest daily enjoyment—listening to Huangmei Opera, causing her considerable distress... After visiting the hospital for treatment, the doctor listened to her medical history, conducted systematic hearing and imaging examinations, and ultimately determined acoustic neuroma as the troublemaker.

The acoustic neuroma Ms. Liu suffers from is caused by a tumor growing from the vestibular nerve originating in the internal auditory canal and brain. The vestibular nerve plays an important role in influencing sound and regulating balance in the body. When the tumor grows larger, it compresses the vestibular nerve, thereby causing hearing loss, tinnitus, vestibular dysfunction, and a series of symptoms. So, when discovering hearing loss, how can one determine whether it’s acoustic neuroma?

Major symptoms of acoustic neuroma are as follows:

1. The most common symptom of acoustic neuroma is unilateral hearing loss, sometimes accompanied by difficulty understanding speech on the phone with the affected ear, with a small number of patients experiencing sudden hearing loss.

2. Tinnitus is the second most common symptom of acoustic neuroma, often manifesting as noise within the brain or ear, like cicada chirping, whistle sound, buzzing, ringing, etc. Sometimes intermittent, sometimes continuous. It can occur before hearing loss, especially with unilateral tinnitus, which should especially raise suspicion of acoustic neuroma.

3. Vestibular dysfunction: This symptom can manifest in the early stages of acoustic neuroma, possibly causing dizziness, unsteady walking, occasional sensations of head heaviness, limb lightness, head numbness.

4. Facial sensory anomalies, facial paralysis: When the tumor is larger, it can compress surrounding nerves, such as causing facial numbness and sensory abnormalities when compressing the trigeminal nerve, facial paralysis and area spasms when compressing the facial nerve. Severe cases may affect facial appearance.

When these symptoms occur, it is essential to pay attention and promptly go to the hospital ENT department for a comprehensive, detailed auditory, vestibular function, and imaging examination for further diagnosis.

How should acoustic neuroma be treated when diagnosed?

1. Surgery excision is the current preferred treatment for acoustic neuroma.

When these symptoms occur, it is essential to pay attention and promptly go to the hospital ENT department for a comprehensive, detailed auditory, vestibular function, and imaging examination.
