Global Lords: I Have Information System

Zhang Zihao, with his subordinates, was able to stand at the front line, exhausting all his courage in the process. At this moment, his legs were trembling, almost unable to stand steadily, yet he did not retreat, bravely holding the longsword in front of him.

Courage is one thing, actual combat experience is another; it turns out these are completely different matters.

Mere courage cannot make up for the lack of combat experience. Facing such a massive swarm naturally induces fear. His current state is only slightly better than when Zong Shen first landed.

However, for Zhang Zihao, this was a courageous first step.

As for Zong Shen, it’s not accurate to say he was naturally born martial. His bravery was forged through real battles, making his nerves naturally grow stronger over time.

Holding the flamethrower at the frontline, Zong Shen found the goblin’s flamethrower indeed effective. Especially against such a large quantity of monsters, the burning effect can spread and be sustained.

Burrow Monsters, unless deterred by demons, are always in a fearless state, advancing boldly under the command of the Burrow Hero at the rear.

Even with the flamethrower’s powerful might, it’s hard to stop their advance, only able to slow their speed. Meanwhile, the mages prioritized attacking the hovering gargoyles in the sky.

These gargoyles posed the greatest threat as the number accumulated. Despite maintaining a certain altitude swirl, they seemed to await the optimal attack moment.

Why are gargoyles considered the biggest threat? Because they are flying monsters.

Zong Shen’s team had limited ranged force, and close combat soldiers couldn’t threaten the gargoyles, failing to form an advantage in output. The attacks from several mages and two Dragon-kin Rangers were ineffective.

And these gargoyles are numerous; if they were to attack, even if each only fired one blade light, over four hundred gargoyles attacking together would be like a rain of blades.

However, Zong Shen was unworried, simply allocating part of his attention to observe the gargoyles’ movements. The blade light has a range of only twenty or thirty meters. If these creatures wish to attack, they must dive down, upon which Zong Shen would activate Demon Deterrence to dispel them.

Continuously pulling the trigger, Zong Shen quickly exhausted a tank of fuel. The flame tongue disappeared, yet the Burrow Monsters didn’t extinguish the flames immediately, though showing signs of fatigue.

During the suppression by the flamethrower lasting over a minute, the Burrow Monsters’ advance speed increased slightly, nearing the ten-meter range in front of the team.

Zong Shen calmly unscrewed the fuel tank; he had plenty, enough to use until the flamethrower became obsolete.

If Zong Shen had ten or twenty flamethrowers, directly handing one to each person, forming a Fire Dragon group, these Burrow Monsters wouldn’t be a threat.

He was already considering how to acquire more flamethrowers, planning to visit the goblin territory sometime to bring back good stuff.

Zong Shen screwed on a new fuel tank, the nozzle of the flamethrower emitting blue smoke, just as he was about to pull the trigger again, a red figure appeared beside him.

Not bothering to look, he pulled the trigger, and the flame tongue was released, sweeping across and once again curbing the Burrow Monsters’ advance. Then another smaller flame tongue burst forth beside him, combining with the larger one, making the fire even fiercer.

Zong Shen turned slightly; the red figure was Doris, with flaming red hair.

She was holding the Scorching Burning Staff (Rare) given by Zong Shen earlier, continuously channeling magic power, activating the Fire-breathing Skill.

Doris looked up at Zong Shen, smiling at him, seductively licking her lips and raising her eyebrows, giving Zong Shen goosebumps. Previously indifferent to him, she now suddenly acted flirtatiously.

The staff’s Fire-breathing Skill consumes 5 mana per second, and the damage is decent, with a 1.3 times magic damage bonus. Combined with the staff’s own magic damage boost for Doris, her flames could deal over 100 damage per second.

Along with Zong Shen’s flamethrower, the dual flames significantly enhance their destructive capacity.

Remarkably, within a short time, they managed to halt the Burrow Monsters’ advance.

Every moment, the front-line Burrow Monsters were burnt to charcoal, melting into the ground.

Zong Shen’s points kept increasing continually.

The double fire breath caused the tens of thousands of Burrow Monsters to be stuck here, unable to advance.

This made the rear Burrow Hero angry, starting to command the hidden Ghostly Demonesses among the front line to attack, casting a Chaos Curse upon Zong Shen’s head. This was a negative buff lasting 30 seconds; even with the Steel Bone War Boots’ 15% resilience buff, the duration still extended to over twenty seconds.

Zong Shen immediately felt his attacks becoming uncontrollable, involuntarily aiming the flamethrower at the skies, with various errors forced upon his actions. Beside him, Doris also shuddered, stopped her flame breath, entering a state affected by the Banshee’s Possession Skill.

The other soldiers in the front line experienced the same, as Banshees began to attack, using their Possession Skill.

At this moment, Dawn descended, exploding among the front line, waving outward. Instantly, Zong Shen’s Chaos Curse was dispelled, and the soldiers possessed by Banshees were freed.

At the critical moment, it was Aisha who acted, using the Dawn’s Wisdom Staff (Rare)’s Dawn skill, a Group Dispel Skill creating magic exorcism effects in a designated area, effectively countering the Banshee’s possession and Chaos Curse.

Freed from possession control, Doris became furious, raising her staff, and began chanting.

However, Doris was destined for disappointment as Ghostly Demonesses were immune to magic damage, only physical attacks could affect them.

For instance, Zong Shen’s thick Calamity Battle Spear, it’s excellent for dealing with Ghostly Demonesses.

Those Demonesses generally couldn’t withstand it, even if Zong Shen didn’t enter Bear Mode, stabbing them over a dozen times, they wouldn’t endure.

Yet the Ghostly Demonesses lurking within the monster swarm made them difficult to kill individually.

Thinking about this, Zong Shen stopped the fire breath, flipped his hand, and took out seven or eight Mining Goblin Detonators. He had twenty-eight of these, saving them wasn’t worthwhile, better to consume some today.

These detonators, adopting a fuse, were in a situation where the monster swarm was filled with burning flames. Zong Shen tossed them into the air, then wielded the flamethrower to sweep a round, igniting them all in mid-air, resembling scattering flowers as they fell into the swarm.

After seven or eight seconds, a succession of explosions sounded. Each detonator could deal 120 explosion damage within a ten-meter range, directly blasting the zombies into critical condition.

Moreover, the explosion damage also affected the Ghostly Demonesses, the simultaneous explosion of seven or eight detonators was quite astonishing.

Many zombies at the blast points were directly blown away or had limbs blasted off, while Burrow Worms were burst into paste.

Zhang Zihao held his longsword, observing Zong Shen’s performance throughout, unaware of the extent of Zong Shen’s capabilities.

All he knew was that no matter the tactics used by the Burrow Monster Swarm, Zong Shen seemed to have a solution to counter them.

At this moment, he only had one thing to say, ”Extraordinary!”

Zong Shen made the Burrow Monster Swarm, which should’ve advanced like breaking through bamboo, feel stuck in a quagmire, with each step paid in blood!

Zhang Zihao completely believed now; Zong Shen’s talk of annihilating them was not empty words!
