(This fellow is a weakened version of the Burrow Lord. On the fifth day of the Burrow Challenge, alongside entering Level 6 intensity, a weakened version of a Burrow Hero will refresh in each burrow, apart from the Burrow Lord, there are also Death Knights, Fear Demon Kings, Wailing Liches, Skeleton War Kings, Abyssal Worms, King of Corpses—all of them are weakened challenge versions, with an initial Level of 1 and default talent of excellent

During the remaining time of the Burrow Challenge, these fellows will assemble and wander aimlessly, the burrow monsters will start to plan attacks on the Lord. These Burrow Heroes have no memories, but possess significant command abilities. Killing Lords and subjects can increase their level, they will spontaneously gather together, and rally wandering burrow monsters to prepare for the final challenge opening at noon tomorrow)

It really is a Burrow Hero, Zong Shen keenly captured several key words from the hint, like final challenge, spontaneous gathering.

”Tsk tsk, it’s actually a Burrow Lord.”

”Although it’s a weakened version of the Burrow Challenge, it’s indeed a genuine Burrow Hero.”

”How did you catch this guy?”

Zong Shen wandered around the Burrow Lord, standing beside Wenresa, tsking in wonder.

Wenresa pointed towards the exit surrounded by walls and grass huts, and then pointed to the shell gap where two Sharp Arrows were stuck behind the Burrow Lord.

”This guy was stunned as soon as it appeared from the burrow entrance.”

”It had no intention of fighting us, its mind was only set on escaping.”

”Luckily, the Burrowing Demons quickly sprayed strong capture nets, trapping it at the burrow entrance, and then I shot it twice. Together, everyone worked to loop rope around its joints and dragged it back.”

Zong Shen instantly found it even more peculiar, it seemed this guy indeed possesses wisdom, otherwise it wouldn’t choose to run away immediately after showing its face.

According to the hint, every burrow will refresh a Burrow Hero, there’s just one thousand Burrow Heroes per area, the threat from these Burrow Heroes isn’t from themselves, but from how originally chaotic wandering burrow monsters become organized and strategic.

Under the guidance of these Burrow Heroes, burrow monsters will quickly form groups, and launch well-planned attacks on the Lords of the area, no longer as easy to deal with as before, the previous burrow monster swarms were threatening, but overall they were disorganized, their attack rhythm scattered, acting solely on instinct.

Zong Shen pondered for a while, approached this Burrow Lord, took out the Royal Guard Battle Sword, and tapped its heavily armored back shell.

”Hey? Can you speak human?”

Zong Shen attempted to communicate with the Burrow Lord, since this guy has wisdom, it should be able to understand what he’s saying.

But the Burrow Lord suddenly started to struggle, its spindle arms wanted to hammer Zong Shen, but as soon as they stretched a little, they were pulled taut by the hemp ropes on both sides.

”Screech, screech!”

It raised its tiny head, exposing a chewing-like mouthpart similar to a locust, and screeched at Zong Shen.

Unsure if it was incapable of communicating or unwilling to.

Zong Shen no longer had the mind to continue studying this guy, since according to strategy, these are weakened versions of Burrow Heroes, essentially original reproductions without memories, although they possess wisdom to seek advantage and avoid harm, still attacking Lords was engraved deep within their souls as their command and meaning of existence, so trying to negotiate and cooperate with these guys is nonsense.

”Just slay it directly!”

”I want to see how many points this guy truly has!”

In less than an hour after the exchange ended, Zong Shen’s points had already increased to over seven hundred, if the Exploration Squad actively hunts, its efficiency can improve significantly.

Upon Zong Shen’s command, he decided to slay this Burrow Lord on the spot.

The Rare Level Ghostly Demoness offers 125 points in total and 125 Strength Extraction Value, Zong Shen is particularly anticipating the reward from this Burrow Hero.

The Burrow Lord has a passive called Spiky Shell, not only increasing its Armor Value significantly but also possesses a 25% mindless reflection of melee damage, however, within the frontline combat units, besides anything else, the number of Ranged Warriors is sufficient.

Moreover, Wenresa herself is a Rare level Hero, wielding a Battle Bow with substantial damage.

Zong Shen retreated a few steps, and the next moment, numerous arrows and magic followed, hitting the Burrow Lord, the crossbow arrows from the Avalon Light Crossbowman struck the thick shell yet couldn’t penetrate, only leaving a white mark on its indigo shell.

The effect from magic was slightly better, the Water Arrow Skill from the Water Mage managed to inflict dozens of damage points.

Wenresa and the Dragon-kin Ranger also adopted precision shooting tactics, aiming at the weak spot behind the Burrow Lord, shooting arrows.

Avoiding the shell’s defense resulted in relatively considerable damage.

This guy indeed on the battlefield, with other burrow monsters or heroes providing cover, isn’t that easy to eliminate.

When the Burrow Lord’s Life Value dropped below 100 points, Zong Shen took out [Aegwynn’s Book of Ten Thousand Laws (Orange)], held it in his palm, and started selecting Magic Classification, he chose the Thunder Element attack magic.

He directly expended 80 Mana points, selecting a powerful Tier 3 single-target magic, Spherical Lightning, summoning a spherical lightning to bombard the enemy, able to inflict 2.0 times magic damage, its scattered arcs causing 0.3 magic damage to targets within five meters of the sphere, against directly hit targets there’s a 10% chance to destroy armor, permanently decreasing armor durability by 20 points.

”Boom!”

After a thunderous roar, a basketball-sized spherical lightning descended from above, its surrounding arcs jumping, fiercely smashing onto the Burrow Lord’s back!

Instantly, azure electric light filled everyone’s vision, turbulent arcs swept outward, with massive power.

Thunder Magic is also among the most powerful magic forces, not in the least inferior to Fire Magic.

”Screech, screech!”

After a series of piercing screams, the arc light vanished, its Life Value cleared, a basketball-sized melted depression appeared on the heavy shell, the shell charred black, the previous spherical lightning directly melted through the shell, injuring the Burrow Lord’s body, instantly dispatching it.

After being eliminated, as other burrow monsters upon death, the Burrow Lord directly melted into the soil, no plague-like areas emerged, disappearing very cleanly.

Zong Shen found an orange fragment the size of a palm left at the original site, this seems to be its only remaining item.

He swiftly moved over, picked it up, held it in his palm, examining it.
