Fated to My Billionaire Husband

But she flagrantly defied the risk, wasn’t she courting death?!

Li Mingxi actually just said it casually; she guessed she felt dizzy and uncomfortable from soaking in the hot spring for too long and just wanted to go back and sleep.

However, facing Xiao Lang, she instinctively wanted to be stubborn.

”Mr. Xiao, whether I care about my life or not, what does it have to do with you?” She raised her eyebrows and retorted with a smirk.

Xiao Lang choked, his hands clenching tightly in anger!

Li Mingxi coquettishly waved at him, ”I’ll go ahead, goodbye.”

She turned around and slowly climbed onto the shore.

Xiao Lang also got ashore, moving with such large gestures that it caused water to splash everywhere.

Li Mingxi reached for her robe. Just as she grabbed it, Xiao Lang yanked it away: ”This is mine!”

Li Mingxi froze for a moment, then had no choice but to take another one.

Her head was getting dizzier, breathing was extremely difficult, and she just wanted to leave here immediately.

Just as she put on the robe and was tying the belt, her vision went black, and she lost consciousness immediately!

”Mingxi—” Xiao Lang caught her body in a panic.

...

Xiao Lang took Li Mingxi back to her room.

Then he called a doctor.

Xiao Lang always thought Li Mingxi fainted because she soaked in the hot spring too long.

The doctor examined her and said she was severely malnourished, which was why she fainted.

”Malnourished?” Xiao Lang was stunned.

”Yes, that’s right. Her nutrition intake is poor, and she has significant anemia.” The doctor nodded.

Xiao Lang remembered the medicine Li Mingxi was taking.

He found her bag, pulled out a bottle of medicine, and handed it to the doctor: ”What’s this?”

The doctor looked at the label, opened the cap to look at the pills inside, and said, ”These are nutritional supplements, similar to nutritional infusions. But these are far less effective than food. They’re usually taken when someone can’t eat but shouldn’t be used long-term.”

Xiao Lang’s face suddenly turned gloomy.

How long had Li Mingxi been taking these nutritional supplements?

The doctor gave Li Mingxi a drip, drew a bit of her blood following Xiao Lang’s instructions, and then left.

Xiao Lang changed his clothes and sat by her side, watching over her.

Having not seen her for some time, Li Mingxi became much thinner.

She used to have a perfect figure, but now she was much more emaciated, and her complexion looked very poor.

Didn’t she really want to leave him?

He had left her as she wished, so why did she make herself even worse?

Xiao Lang tenderly held her hand, unable to resist kissing it.

...

Li Mingxi woke up after a few hours of sleep.

She opened her eyes and met Xiao Lang’s dark gaze.

A lamp was on in the room, and the light was soft.

Li Mingxi looked at him, her thoughts swirling, ”What’s wrong with me?”

”You fainted due to anemia,” Xiao Lang said in a low voice.

Li Mingxi propped herself up, speaking quietly, ”Thank you, I’m fine now, you can leave.”

”Are you taking this?” Instead of answering, Xiao Lang asked her a question.

In his hand was the bottle of nutritional supplements.

Li Mingxi was momentarily stunned. Did he find out something?

”I asked, are you taking this? The doctor said you’ve been long-term malnourished,” Xiao Lang’s voice held a hint of anger.

Li Mingxi didn’t want him to know too much.

She calmly replied: ”What I eat is none of your business, I’m a doctor, I know what I’m doing.”

Xiao Lang could no longer suppress his inner anger: ”You know what you’re doing, so you keep not eating and rely only on these?!
