Fated to My Billionaire Husband

It was obvious that some kind of liquid had wet the sheet, leaving a dried mark.

Coincidentally, the mark was right by his thigh, in a place that inevitably led to wild thoughts.

Xiao Lang’s throat bobbed, his face flushing red.

Li Mingxi came over and gently patted his shoulder, ”Don’t feel embarrassed, it’s okay, I really won’t laugh at you. I also, uh, had accidents when I was little, everyone did, it’s nothing.”

When I was little...

He’s 36 now, okay?!

No, that’s not the point. The point is, that’s not what you think, it’s medicine!

It’s not the urine she thinks it is!

But he couldn’t tell the truth; if he did, Li Mingxi definitely wouldn’t talk to him anymore.

”You misunderstood... this is... I accidentally spilled some water...” Xiao Lang stammered to explain.

”Water? When did you drink water? Where’s the cup?”

Xiao Lang decided to stick to his story: ”When you went to get me some tofu pudding, I poured myself a glass of water. Then I accidentally spilled it on the bed.”

”But pure water wouldn’t leave a mark when it dries.”

”It was honey water!”

Li Mingxi nodded knowingly, ”Honey water, huh? Okay, I get it, I believe you.”

Her eyes clearly showed she didn’t believe it!

”It’s really not what you’re thinking!” The always composed Xiao Lang couldn’t help but get anxious.

Li Mingxi nodded constantly, ”I know it’s not what I’m thinking, I really do.”

”Li Mingxi, I’m telling the truth!”

Li Mingxi looked sincere, ”I believe you already, aren’t you satisfied?”

She didn’t believe him at all; she was just humoring him.

Xiao Lang had a headache, should he tell the truth?

If he doesn’t tell the truth, his reputation will be ruined.

If he tells the truth, Li Mingxi might scold him to death.

Forget it, reputation is more important.

Xiao Lang grabbed her hand, explaining helplessly, ”Fine, I’ll tell the truth. It’s actually a medicine stain. I don’t like IV drips, so I pulled out the needle, and the medicine spilled on the sheet. I swear, I’m telling the truth!”

Li Mingxi’s face suddenly turned cold, ”Why don’t you like IVs?”

”I saw doctors a lot as a kid, so I really dislike these things.”

”So do you dislike doctors?”

Xiao Lang shook his head clearly, ”No, I don’t dislike them at all! I really like doctors! They’re angels in white!”

”But didn’t you say you saw doctors a lot as a kid and hated these things?” Li Mingxi interrogated further, not realizing she’d gone off on a tangent.

Xiao Lang laughed, ”I just hate needles and medicine, but I don’t hate doctors.”

Li Mingxi was satisfied and couldn’t help but curl her lips into a smile.

Xiao Lang thought he’d gotten away with it and was about to breathe a sigh of relief.

Suddenly, Li Mingxi gave him a hard flick on the forehead!

”Even if you hate needles and medicine, you can’t joke about your health! If you do it again, I won’t care if you live or die!”

Xiao Lang showed a very good attitude in admitting his mistake, pulling her in and holding her close, kissing her lips.

”I’ll listen to you, I promise I won’t do it again! Please don’t be angry, just forgive me this once, okay?”

Li Mingxi broke free from his embrace, ”Okay, but let me take a picture.”

Saying that, she took out her phone and snapped a shot of him.

Xiao Lang was very puzzled; why was she taking his picture?

Could it be because he was too handsome?

With that thought, Xiao Lang couldn’t help but feel a bit pleased and smug.
