Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Xiao Lang bustled around in the kitchen, then brought over a fruit platter and placed it on the coffee table in front of Li Mingxi.

”Have some fruit.”

”Xiao Lang...” Li Mingxi looked at him and hesitated to speak, ”Wen Ning already left today.”

Xiao Lang nodded, ”Is that so?”

”This afternoon, I also met Li Qian.” Li Mingxi continued, ”I told him my choice, do you want to hear it?”

Xiao Lang already knew Li Mingxi’s choice.

She told Wen Ning that she wouldn’t marry Li Qian, so she definitely wouldn’t choose Li Qian anymore.

She didn’t choose Li Qian, but he wasn’t sure that she would choose him either.

Xiao Lang’s heart was tense, but his face showed no expression: ”What is your choice? Did you choose him or me?”

Li Mingxi shook her head and said blandly, ”I don’t want to choose anyone. I don’t want to marry Li Qian, and I don’t want to choose you... Xiao Lang, I’ve thought it through. Let’s just end it between us. I’m serious, and I hope you respect my choice and don’t make things difficult for me anymore.”

After saying these words, Li Mingxi lowered her head, not daring to see his reaction.

She knew her words were cruel, heartless, but without saying them, how could she make him give up on her?

She really couldn’t afford to be indecisive any longer...

Xiao Lang’s throat tightened, his heart feeling uncomfortable, making it hard to breathe.

It was as if all the air around had been sucked away, and his life was about to end.

After a long while, Xiao Lang finally spoke hoarsely: ”You already know my feelings clearly, we are clearly the most suitable together, you don’t feel nothing for me... Even so, are you still going to reject me?”

”I’m sorry...”

”Li Mingxi, I just want to ask you, do you love me? I need to hear the truth, do you love me?”

Li Mingxi widened her eyes, trying hard not to let them become wet.

”Do you love me?” Xiao Lang persistently asked.

Li Mingxi slowly shook her head, ”I don’t know... maybe, I only love myself...”

”Only love yourself?” Xiao Lang was puzzled, ”What does that have to do with not accepting me? You can love yourself, but there’s no need to stop me from loving you. Isn’t it good to have one more person loving you?”

Li Mingxi still shook her head, ”Of course it’s good, but I don’t want to accept your affection. I like freedom, like being unfettered, I don’t want to owe anyone anything, and I especially don’t want to be bound by love... Only living alone will make me truly happy and carefree...”

”We don’t have to get married, I can give you enough freedom, as long as you let me stay by your side, is that okay?” Xiao Lang asked somewhat humbly.

”No!” Li Mingxi raised her head, resolute, ”Your love for me is getting deeper, sometimes, it makes me want to escape.

And also, love is selfish, you are saying all this now simply to keep me.

But as time goes by, you’ll want more, you’ll hope I will fall for you too... don’t deny it, that result is bound to happen.

Xiao Lang, since I’m destined not to sacrifice for you, why don’t we let go now and give each other freedom?

Besides, I don’t want your love right now, no matter how much love you have, I can’t bear it... You should find a woman suitable to be a wife and marry her, not me, I’m destined to be heartless!”

After hearing her words, Xiao Lang opened his mouth, wanting to say something in rebuttal, but found that nothing would make a difference.
