Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 2144: Chapter 2144: This Family Is Too Terrifying

“What does he look like?” Ruan Tianling asked.

Hua Zhongsheng roughly described his age and appearance.

After listening, Ruan Tianling immediately made a call, instructing someone to investigate the hotel’s staff.

“Why would he frame you? Uncle Silly, do you have any enemies in London?” Jian Yufei asked.

Hua Zhongsheng thought about it and shook his head, “I don’t think I have any enemies. I haven’t held grudges with anyone. Could it be because I refused to treat some people, and they hold a grudge against me?”

“That’s very possible. Maybe it’s their family members who did it, or maybe they did it themselves.” Jian Yufei said.

Ruan Tianling asked him, “Do you remember who they are?”

Hua Zhongsheng smiled bitterly, “How could I remember them? I only remember those I’ve treated, those I didn’t want to treat, I can’t recall.”

If they don’t know who it is, they can’t start investigating.

The best they can do is see if they can find anything out from the hotel’s staff.

After visiting Hua Zhongsheng.

Jian Yufei and the others left the police station, planning to return to the hotel to continue looking for clues.

Before they got back, Ruan Tianling received a call from his subordinate.

“Boss, there’s no staff member matching Mr. Hua’s description at the hotel, and we checked the surveillance footage, it was tampered with, nothing recorded.”

“I understand.”

Ruan Tianling hung up the phone, said to Jian Yufei, “It seems things are a bit tricky. Whoever’s framing Mr. Hua, we might not find out anytime soon.”

“Why?”

Ruan Tianling relayed the report from his subordinate to her.

Jian Yufei frowned slightly, “It’s really strange, for something like this to happen at this crucial moment. Could it be done by the Nangong Family? They don’t want Uncle Silly to cure my mother’s illness, so they’re deliberately preventing him from attending to her?”

“That’s a possibility.”

Jian Yufei said with a gloomy expression, “Mom is currently pregnant, if her condition worsens, it will definitely affect the baby in her womb.

Within the Nangong Family, there must be someone who doesn’t want the Family Head position to fall into Nangong Xu’s hands, so they will try to prevent him from inheriting the family.

So they have the biggest motive to frame Uncle Silly… Ruan Tianling, this family is too terrifying.

I thought we had severed ties with them, yet they’re still able to drag us into this…”

Ruan Tianling held one of her hands, comforting her.

“Don’t worry, we won’t be dragged into this anymore.”

Really won’t be?

Jian Yufei looked ahead, with a hint of worry in her eyes.

…

After Jian Yufei and the others returned to the hotel, they indeed couldn’t find that staff member.

The hotel’s surveillance footage had been replaced, they really couldn’t find any clues.

Regarding rescuing people from Qi Ruigang, that would have to wait until tomorrow.

Hua Zhongsheng still had to stay at the police station for another day.

Jian Yufei was very worried about him.

After spending some time together, in her heart, Hua Zhongsheng was as dear as a father.

With him in trouble, she couldn’t feel at ease.

During lunch, she had no appetite.

Ruan Tianling, knowing she wouldn’t have an appetite, specially arranged for someone to get porridge and some Chinese food.

Jian Yufei drank the porridge, but didn’t touch the dishes.

Ruan Tianling picked up some food for her, “Just drinking porridge isn’t enough, eat more food.”

Even though Jian Yufei didn’t feel like eating, she still opened her mouth and ate the food he offered.

Ruan Tianling fed her a bite of each dish, but Jian Yufei stopped eating.

She shook her head, “I really can’t eat anymore.”
