Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 2106: Chapter 2106: No One Is Sick

”I was really starving.” Ruan Tianling picked up the chopsticks and happily started eating.

...

After the meal, Ruan Tianling talked to her about the explosion.

”It’s already certain that the other party’s identity is not simple, but we still don’t know who it is,” Ruan Tianling said.

”Could it be Nangong Xu?” Jian Yufei speculated, ”Currently, he’s the only one dealing with us, and he has the capability to do this.”

Ruan Tianling said in a low voice, ”I also suspect it’s him. But why did he abduct the Ghost Doctor? Could it be that he knows about your illness and is deliberately causing trouble to prevent you from being cured?”

That’s unlikely.

Nangong Xu knows her illness is incurable, and she has also promised him to let all grievances go with this life.

He has no reason to cause trouble.

Unless he thinks the Ghost Doctor can cure her illness and abducts him.

But that’s not right either; if he wanted to stop the Ghost Doctor from curing her, he could’ve just killed the Ghost Doctor. Why go to the trouble of abducting him?

The only explanation is that he needs the Ghost Doctor!

Abducting him serves two purposes.

Not only can it prevent her illness from being cured, but he can also use him.

Then who is sick that requires such a massive effort to abduct the Ghost Doctor?

It’s definitely not for her grandfather!

Nangong Wenxiang has been sick for so long, and he hasn’t shown much concern. He wishes he could stay paralyzed forever so that no one could suppress him. Why would he get a doctor to cure him?

So, either he’s sick, or her mother is sick.

Jian Yufei thinks it’s very possible that something happened to her mother.

Nangong Xu is strong and healthy; he wouldn’t be sick. Her mother is currently pregnant, the time when problems are most likely to occur.

It must be that something happened to her mother!

Jian Yufei anxiously asked, ”Could Nangong Xu have abducted the Ghost Doctor because my mother is sick?”

Ruan Tianling also thought of this point, ”Why don’t you ask her.”

”Okay!” Jian Yufei took out her phone and sent a message to Nangong Ruyue.

At this time, it was still dawn in London, but she couldn’t care less about disturbing her mother’s rest.

After a while, Nangong Ruyue replied, saying she was fine.

Jian Yufei’s heart was still uneasy.

Even if something was wrong, her mother could say everything was fine!

Not being by her side, how could she know if she was truly alright?

Ruan Tianling suggested that Qi Ruisen could be sent to investigate the situation, and Jian Yufei agreed with a nod.

They contacted Qi Ruisen, who said he would get back to them as soon as possible.

Ruan Tianling comforted Jian Yufei, ”Don’t worry too much, Nangong Xu cares so much about your mother, he won’t let anything happen to her.”

Jian Yufei nodded, feeling much more at ease.

In the evening, Qi Ruisen called them, saying that everything was normal at Nangong Castle and no one was sick.

Only then did Jian Yufei feel completely relieved, thinking that she was just being overly sensitive.

But then why did Nangong Xu go out of his way to abduct the Ghost Doctor?

Perhaps he’s developing some new poison.

Or maybe, it wasn’t Nangong Xu who abducted the Ghost Doctor.

Jian Yufei couldn’t help in tracking the whereabouts of the Ghost Doctor; it was all up to Ruan Tianling.

The next day, she called to make an appointment with that old man for a meal.

The old man gladly agreed and came alone to the appointment.

Ruan Tianling didn’t come with her, and Jian Yufei came alone to meet the old man.

She always felt that the old man was not simple, but she had no intention of probing into his matters.

She was simply inviting him to a meal to thank him.

Sitting at the dining table, after ordering, Jian Yufei picked up the teacup and said, ”Sir, I can’t drink alcohol, so I’ll use tea to toast you.”
