Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 2120: Chapter 2120: The Blizzard Appears

“We should be able to find it, and if not, we just keep looking. As long as it’s on the mountain, we won’t be afraid of not finding it.” Ruan Tianling spoke with great confidence.

The mere snow mountain, he certainly couldn’t fail to conquer it.

Everyone was hoping for the best.

The next day at noon, the climbing team sent a message saying they had found the red snow lotus.

The search process was very smooth, and there really was a red snow lotus on the mountain.

Ruan Tianling grinned happily all along. He personally replied to the climbing team, insisting they bring down the snow lotus intact, and the reward would be doubled.

But it wasn’t long before the weather changed.

Experienced locals said there was likely a blizzard on the snow mountain.

The blizzard on the snow mountain wasn’t just any ordinary blizzard.

It could be severe enough to bury people alive.

With the blizzard, the signal would also be obstructed.

Sure enough, they lost contact with the climbing team.

Ruan Tianling wanted to send people up the mountain to rescue them, but the local residents suggested waiting for the blizzard to subside a bit before going up, otherwise the more people went, the more would need rescue.

Jian Yufei didn’t want more people to have accidents either and also thought it was better to go for rescue a little later.

Ruan Tianling really didn’t care about those people’s lives; he cared about the red snow lotus.

It was hard to find, and if lost because of this, he definitely couldn’t accept it.

But at this moment, sending anyone up would be useless, and helicopters couldn’t get up there either, going meant suffering a loss.

He could only wait patiently for the blizzard to die down a bit before sending people for rescue.

This time, Ruan Tianling hired not just one climbing team; the team that went up was the best, and the one that stayed behind was not bad either.

Hiring two teams was just as a precaution.

If something happened to the first team, the second team could go up for search and rescue.

The second team had already set off by helicopter, the climate at the foot of the mountain was still good, but they couldn’t get too close to the summit.

So they all stayed at the edge of danger, waiting for the snowstorm to subside a bit before continuing with the rescue.

…

Every minute of waiting was tormenting.

Jian Yufei was worried about the lives of those on the mountain; Ruan Tianling was worried about the red snow lotus.

Hua Zhongsheng was worried about both.

Finally, by evening, the blizzard subsided.

The second climbing team immediately began hiking up the mountain, rushing to the rescue.

Ruan Tianling also dispatched a helicopter to meet them halfway up the mountain.

The helicopter couldn’t fly very high, especially since the blizzard was still active at the summit, it couldn’t fly up.

However, being able to fly about halfway up already saved the climbing team a lot of time.

…

A sleepless night.

The next morning, around ten o’clock, the second climbing team sent a message saying they had found them.

There were quite a few people, but a few were unconscious, the situation was critical.

Even those who were conscious couldn’t speak.

Ruan Tianling asked if they had seen the red snow lotus, and the second team replied they hadn’t.

…

Everyone was rescued, and the prepared medical staff immediately provided emergency treatment.

Hua Zhongsheng also joined the medical team; with him there, those people would be fine.

The people were rescued, Jian Yufei sighed in relief.

Only Ruan Tianling’s face turned even gloomier.

He sat in the room, staring out the window, exuding an aura that kept people at bay.

Jian Yufei softly walked behind him, wrapped her arms around his neck from behind, and tilted her head to look at him.

“Don’t be upset, actually, even if we find the snow lotus, my illness can’t be completely cured. The fact that they all returned safely is what’s most important, isn’t it?”
