Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 2124: Chapter 2124: They Were Here Too

Jian Yufei and Ruan Tianling sat in front of the desk, slowly flipping through the pages.

Allen told them to leave a message once they finished reading.

Jian Yufei didn’t know what to write, so Ruan Tianling said he would handle it.

But they wanted to browse first, as Jian Yufei was very interested in other people’s messages.

...

Most of the entries in the message book were in English, but there were also other languages.

Chinese was rare.

After flipping casually for a long time, Jian Yufei suddenly saw a page in Chinese.

She could understand it, so she read it more carefully.

Jian Yufei stared at the handwriting, softly reading out: ”O unwavering oath! I want to know you, never to be parted for eternity.

Even if mountains erode, rivers run dry, winter has thunder and summer snow, until heaven and earth merge, I will not sever our bond!”

This is one of the most classic love poems from China.

The message was left by a woman, her handwriting was very graceful yet also bold.

Jian Yufei was deeply moved after reading it.

Not only because of the poem but also the calligraphy.

However, Jian Yufei felt a vague sense of familiarity with the handwriting.

Ruan Tianling said, ”The following one should be written by a man.”

The next one was also a poem, but it had a different style, a Western style.

And it was the poem ”When You Are Old.”

The man who left the message deliberately used small script to write this poem.

Ruan Tianling had also read this poem to her back in the day.

Jian Yufei caressed the beautiful small script, smiling: ”This man must be a very good man.”

”Why?” Ruan Tianling asked, puzzled.

Jian Yufei looked at him and smiled: ”Because you also gave me this poem. So I think he, like you, is a very good man.”

Ruan Tianling smiled charmingly: ”Giving this poem to a lover doesn’t always mean the man is good, but I surely am.”

”Yes, you are!” Jian Yufei agreed with a laugh, ”Quick, look at the signature, see who wrote it.”

Because the paper was too large, they couldn’t see the signature while reciting the poems.

When their eyes settled on the signature at the bottom, both were stunned.

[Xiao and Ruyue, written on July 7, 19XX]

Jian Yufei was dumbfounded for a few seconds —

”Ruan Tianling, why do I feel like it was left by my parents? Earlier, when I saw the handwriting from the woman, it felt familiar. Now that I think about it, the style is seventy to eighty percent similar to my mom’s.”

A person’s handwriting can change with time, but the basic spirit of it doesn’t.

So it must be her mother’s handwriting, without a doubt.

”Your father is called Xiao Zexin, and your mother is called Nangong Ruyue; I think it should be from them,” Ruan Tianling said.

In 19XX, Jian Yufei had not been born yet.

But she was born a year later.

At the time, her father was still in London, so it must have been left by them!

Jian Yufei never expected to find her parents’ message here.

She was so excited that she almost cried: ”It turns out they were here too, Ruan Tianling, they were here too!”

Ruan Tianling held her and smiled, comforting her: ”You should be happy, why are you crying?”

”I’m just too happy.” Jian Yufei raised her hand to wipe away her tears and suddenly remembered something, hurriedly asking Allen, ”Back in 19XX, who was serving as the priest here?”

Allen answered her, ”It was Priest Matthew, he had been the priest here for fifty years.”

”I want to see Priest Matthew, I want to see him now!”

”What do you want to see Priest Matthew for?” Hua Zhongsheng’s voice suddenly sounded from outside.
