The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 450: Chapter 195: Scramble_2

”...I happen to have time this afternoon, so let that kid bring over the materials.”

Although Professor doubted Teacher Guo’s words, since he wasn’t very busy these past couple of days, he agreed.

Regardless of whether the girl was exaggerating or showing off, the fact that a young student preferred experimenting and inventing over chasing celebrities or becoming an internet influencer was something to be encouraged.

In the subsequent decades, the professor was very glad about this sudden decision he made today.

Otherwise, he might have let the country miss out on an extremely advanced technology and might have buried a true genius.

He Tiantian: ...Sorry, I am just a wannabe, I am no genius.

The process went smoothly, without hurdles, difficulties, or any pretentious confrontations. He Tiantian met the professor and handed over all her materials.

”Come, Xiao Seo, you study computer science, take a look.”

The professor, found by Teacher Guo, was not skilled in artificial intelligence, so he had found a related field research assistant.

Xiao Seo took the materials and just after a few pages, his initially relaxed expression became stern.

The more he read, the more serious he became.

Neither the professor nor Teacher Guo were fools. They observed and quickly realized this.

The professor tentatively asked, ”Xiao Seo, are these materials useful?”

”They’re incredibly useful!”

Xiao Seo, extremely excited, continued to flip through the materials while speedily responding, ”Professor, this, this material is simply a treasure.”

”With this, we can develop real artificial intelligence!”

Artificial intelligence, not just enhanced intelligence!

This technology, once launched, would surely cause a storm in fields worldwide!

”Right, professor, this, the patent for this technology—” who owns it?

If the patent wasn’t in their possession, then they could only sigh in despair.

The professor didn’t answer but looked directly at He Tiantian.

He Tiantian grinned, showing a row of white teeth, ”I haven’t applied for a patent. As long as this material is useful, I am willing to submit it to the country!”

Xiao Seo was even more excited, ”Great! That’s really great! I, I’m going to find our academician right away!”

Saying this, Xiao Seo was about to leave with the materials.

However, the professor stopped him and said sternly, ”Leave the materials!”

Xiao Seo then came back from his ecstasy and hastily placed the materials on the table.

He really wished he could slap his forehead hard; he got confused with excitement, forgetting such an important matter—how could he carry such important materials away so casually?

”I’m sorry, Professor Chen, I, I got too excited!” Xiao Seo hurriedly apologized.

Professor Chen waved his hand, signaling Xiao Seo to hurry and get the academician.

Once Xiao Seo dashed out, Professor Chen looked at He Tiantian again, ”Student He, you’re a good kid!”

”But, I must ask clearly!”

”Did you really develop this technology? Are there no patent disputes?”

He Tiantian nodded, ”Yes, because of family reasons, I’m quite introverted and enjoy playing with computers alone!”

That statement was half-true, half-false—

The true part was that she used to be introverted, self-conscious, and sensitive.

The false part was that she played on the computer at her cousin’s and foster mother’s house not out of interest, but because there were no other entertainment devices available.

In the living room, her cousin would watch Korean dramas and palace intrigue shows.

Moreover, her cousin’s lover would occasionally come over to stay the night, and her cousin, considering He Tiantian a nuisance, often locked her in the bedroom.

There was a second-hand laptop in the bedroom, obtained from somewhere by her cousin. He Tiantian, staying alone in the small room, scared and bored, often used this laptop to surf the internet.

However, this laptop broke down three or four years ago and was thrown away by her cousin to a scrap collector.

And those scraps had long been disposed of.

This had already been investigated by Student Xiao D.

Thus, He Tiantian wasn’t worried at all that her lies would be exposed.

Of course, she wasn’t lying intentionally, but the fact that she could time-travel through the Dian Niang System was too bizarre to believe.

Before she had fully understood the Dian Niang System, He Tiantian didn’t want to hand it over to the country just yet.

”Later, in high school, I developed an interest in electronic computers and artificial intelligence and thus sought out relevant materials to study on my own!”

This too was a mix of truth and falsehood.

He Tiantian did buy some materials, but it was to patch up her sudden mastery of artificial intelligence, which she had only recently purchased.
