The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 438: Chapter 191: Second Entry into the Martial World (Part 11)_3

He Tiantian sighed secretly, while everyone else glared at Zi Yi.

Zi Yi, however, retreated back to Wenren Jie’s side and continued to act like a loyal lapdog!

On the other side—

Pei Jinghou and Song Qingyun finished a complete set of hand techniques, gaining an understanding of each other’s skills.

Pei Jinghou was secretly satisfied, happy that the Beggar Gang had promising successors, and he stopped his moves.

Song Qingyun didn’t continue to press, and he clasped his hands in thanks—being mentored by a master counted as receiving great favor.

Pei Jinghou slightly nodded his head, accepting Song Qingyun’s thanks.

Then, Pei Jinghou turned to He Tiantian, ”Sect Leader He, how come you know the Dragon Subduing Palm and Dog Beating Stick Technique?”

When he saw He Tiantian using the Dog Beating Stick Technique, Pei Jinghou had wanted to ask.

And with the additional Dragon Subduing Palm, Pei Jinghou couldn’t hold back and finally spoke.

He Tiantian responded indifferently, ”Because I’m the leader of the Beggar Gang!”

Pei Jinghou:... What kind of answer is that?

He Tiantian, seeming to see Hero Pei’s frustration, curled up the corners of her mouth, but her words remained choking, ”Master Manor Pei, although you are the Martial Arts Alliance Hierarch, how I learned Dog Beating Stick Technique and Dragon Subduing Palm is the affair of my Beggar Gang and none of your business!”

”There’s one thing, though, that I need to clarify with you.”

”Alliance Leader Pei, because you had some fate with Old Sect Leader Guo back in the days, the Old Sect Leader took pity on your martial talent and taught you a few moves of the Dragon Subduing Palm.”

”Now that you have not joined my Beggar Gang but instead have become the Alliance Hierarch, our gang always honors heroes and righteousness. We won’t force you not to use Dragon Subduing Palm.”

”However, you must understand that the Dragon Subduing Palm is a secret technique of our Beggar Gang, and you can’t pass on this martial art to others without our permission!”

The lack of a successor in the Beggar Gang before didn’t matter, but now, with He Tiantian and the younger Song Qingyun, if Pei Jinghou taught Dragon Subduing Palm to someone else, it would be incredibly inappropriate.

He Tiantian’s words awoke the three elders and the squad leaders.

They hadn’t thought about this issue before, but now, suddenly hearing He Tiantian mention it, they all broke out in a cold sweat.

Yes, the Dragon Subduing Palm has always been an exclusive technique learned only by the leader of the Beggar Gang.

Even the gang’s elders and squad leaders were not allowed to learn the complete set— at most, they knew one or two moves, earned by great contributions to the gang.

Pei Jinghou, however, because he was the Martial Arts Alliance Hierarch and had previously taken Old Sect Leader Guo as his master, received a direct transmission.

Although he, too, hadn’t received the complete transmission, he learned more moves than the other elders and squad leaders.

He was not a disciple of the Beggar Gang, so if he later taught these two cultivation techniques to outsiders, then, that—

Thankfully, Pei Jinghou was an upright and righteous Alliance Leader, not an internal traitor, otherwise, their Beggar Gang would have been the sinners of the Central Plains Martial Arts.

Pei Jinghou:...

He had never thought about this before.

However, the words of Sect Leader He made a lot of sense.

He indeed learned Dragon Subduing Palm from Old Sect Leader Guo, and although his mother’s background had not yet been revealed, he hadn’t conspired with the Hulu to overthrow the Tianchao Dynasty as per his mother’s wishes, so he wasn’t yet an enemy of the martial arts community, but...

Pei Jinghou felt guilty.

As a hero who valued principles and loyalty, he should keep the secret techniques of the Beggar Gang.

”Sect Leader He is absolutely right! I, Pei, swear here that without the permission of the Beggar Gang, I will not pass on the Dragon Subduing Palm to anyone else!”

”Good! What a hero of boundless righteousness, upright Hero Pei!”

Just then, Wenren Jie, who had just been knocked down by He Tiantian, holding up Zi Yi’s hand, suddenly stood up.

He dramatically clapped his hands, and a hint of malevolence appeared on his fair face.

Originally, Wenren Jie didn’t want to confront Pei Jinghou directly.

Having hid within the assassin organization for too long, he preferred to engage in covert scheming.

But the situation had spiraled out of control.

The main issue was He Tiantian wielding a Dog Beating Stick and had beaten him to the ground, humiliated in front of all the heroes.

Wenren Jie felt humiliated and enraged, looking for someone to share his pain.

And his target was aimed at Pei Jinghou!

Carefree Pavilion, within the martial arts community, was an organization both righteous and unscrupulous, known not only for harboring a large number of assassins but also for gathering information.

Thus, many secrets of the itinerant world unknown to others were well known to Wenren Jie, Master of Carefree Pavilion.

Like Pei Jinghou’s mother, a seemingly weak woman who was actually a princess from the Previous Dynasty.

If it were just a woman, it would have been fine, but this princess remembered the fall of the Previous Dynasty, the murder of her kin.

She wanted revenge! She wanted to overthrow the Tianchao Dynasty!

To achieve her goal, she even forced Pei Jinghou using filial piety and attempted to ally with the Foreign Clan Hulu!

Well, alright, although Wenren Jie wasn’t exactly noble himself, coveting the Dragon Throne, he still saw himself as having royal blood and disdained joining forces with the Hulu.

Chai Fengyi, the princess of the Previous Dynasty and the mother of the current Alliance Leader, truly crossed Wenren Jie’s line.

He had long wanted to expose Chai Fengyi’s identity and tarnish Pei Jinghou, aiming to replace him.
