Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 739: Chapter 752: Loyal Dog Indeed

Except for Guo Xinyi and her new follower Ren Shuang, Wang Xiaoyi also hasn’t come to school.

During the break, An Ran called Wang Xiaoyi and learned she was moving out of the dormitory. An Ran asked for leave from Lu Yi and went back to the dormitory.

”Xiaoyi, what are you doing? Not staying in the dorm anymore?” An Ran asked while watching Tian Zhiyuan and Wang Xiaoyi packing.

Wang Xiaoyi paused upon hearing the voice behind her, then turned around to look at her classmates standing at the door.

It was only then that An Ran saw clearly. In just one week, Wang Xiaoyi had lost weight. Although she wasn’t heavy before, she could be considered curvy. Now, she was slender like a willow.

”Xiaoyi,” An Ran stepped forward and held her hand.

Wang Xiaoyi slightly tugged the corner of her mouth, ”Sorry, An Ran. To be honest, it was my fault. If it hadn’t been for me, you wouldn’t have rushed out late at night, and everything that followed wouldn’t have happened.”

Wang Xiaoyi grasped An Ran’s hand, once filled with youthful vitality and sparkling eyes, now veiled with something heavy.

”Xiaoyi, don’t say that. This isn’t your fault. They had their eyes on me. It was only a matter of time before they would make a move. I was just a step too late to help you,” speaking of the incident, guilt overwhelmed An Ran. Wang Xiaoyi had taken a desperate gamble by coming to her, yet she couldn’t help her.

”It’s fate,” Wang Xiaoyi sneered lowly. ”An Ran, I’ve decided to leave Nan’an.”

”Why? Aren’t you continuing your studies?” Wang Xiaoyi had worked hard to get into Nan’an University from such a remote area. Was she really going to give up now?

”No, I don’t want to stay in this sad place anymore. Studying medicine was never my dream. My parents pushed me into it because they thought doctors make money. Now, I want to live my life for myself.” Wang Xiaoyi turned her head to glance at Tian Zhiyuan, who had already packed up and was waiting nearby.

”Where are you going? Back home?” An Ran asked.

Wang Xiaoyi shook her head, pulled her hand back, and turned to take a piece of luggage from Tian Zhiyuan, ”I want to go to the Imperial City. Heard there are more opportunities there, so I want to have a look.”

”That’s good, changing environments and starting anew.” An Ran thought for a moment, suddenly pulling out her phone, ”Wait a moment, Xiaoyi.”

She knew Wang Xiaoyi liked fashion design, though she hadn’t received any formal guidance. An Ran had seen her sketch some designs in her free time, showing considerable talent.

An Ran took out Chen Yankun’s phone number from her phone and handed it to her, ”This is the number of a friend of mine who owns a fashion company in the Imperial City. If you want to pursue this path, you can contact him.”

Wang Xiaoyi took the phone number, slightly trembling, as a teardrop fell onto the back of her hand, ”An Ran, thank you, take care.”

An Ran embraced her, ”Take care, hope to see you in the Imperial City someday.”

Tian Zhiyuan nodded towards An Ran, carrying the luggage in one hand and holding Wang Xiaoyi’s hand as they left the dormitory.

Wang Xiaoyi dropped out of school, and An Ran felt down all day, until she received a call from Mu Xingfeng after school.

”Honey, when will you come out? Hubby is waiting at the door.”

Just one call of ”honey” from Mu Xingfeng took away An Ran’s whole day’s gloom. Who could have imagined that the so-called Cold-faced Yama Colonel Mu would turn into a loyal puppy in front of his wife, calling her ”honey” so sweetly?

Even for An Ran herself, after hearing it for so long, every time he called her ”honey” made her ears hot.
