Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 732: Chapter 745: Kindred Spirits Ah

Xiao Xiao raised her thumb, ”Great minds think alike, a fellow food enthusiast. Turns out Sister Su is also a foodie champ. Only those with low taste would think an entire beef shank can be stir-fried or stewed.”

”Women with a sharp tongue, be careful or you’ll never get married,” a male voice sounded from behind.

Lin Junyang was holding an apple, biting into it with a crunch, glaring at the woman washing the ribs.

This woman, even behind his back, couldn’t help but badmouth him. It’s really hard to like her.

After taking another look at Su Jin, Lin Junyang raised his chin and asked, ”Southern China Guard Team, 118th Regiment?”

”Yes, sir,” Su Jin put down the vegetables in her hands and stood at attention, saluting.

Previously, Jiang Zhuo had explained the relationships within the Mu Family to her in detail. She had guessed that this man in front of her was Young Master Lin, the brother of Mr. Mu and member of the same guard team.

Lin Junyang raised his eyebrows. Though he wasn’t wearing his guard uniform, Su Jin was so certain he was an officer.

Although this wasn’t the first time someone addressed him this way, facing a stranger who could so accurately identify his status, Lin Junyang was a bit surprised. Could it be that his imposing, upright, and unyielding guard demeanor naturally gave away his identity?

Was he being too high-profile? Should he try to conceal this upright side of him during the next mission?

In an instant, dozens of disguise scenarios flashed through Lin Junyang’s mind.

Finally, Lin Junyang calmly raised his hand and returned the salute.

”What injury did you retire with?” As soon as he entered the door, he noticed this unfamiliar face. He heard she was a retired female guard from the 118th regiment, which piqued his interest.

”Devastating injury on the right shoulder. Although it has healed quite well, I can’t hold a gun anymore.” At the end, a shade of gloom flashed in Su Jin’s eyes.

For a guard, the cruelest thing was being unable to wield their beloved weapon and charge into battle.

Lin Junyang didn’t miss the hint of desolation in her eyes. With a roguish grin, he said, ”So what? Practice holding the gun with your left hand when you get the chance.”

”Is that possible?” Actually, when Su Jin was in the guard team, she was known as a sharpshooter and also had another title—ambidextrous gunner, as she could wield guns in both hands. However, after her injury, that honor disappeared.

Although she knew she couldn’t return to the guard team, if given the chance to hold a gun again, she would be extremely grateful.

”That’s simple. Look, there’s a shooting range on the third floor, you can go there and have some fun.” When Mu Xingfeng was renovating the villa, he specifically set aside a room to make a shooting range, thinking he’d teach An Ran to shoot in his spare time. Now that Su Jin was here, Second Brother should find it easier. Who wouldn’t know that every female guard from the 118th Regiment was a sharpshooter?

”Yes,” Su Jin saluted once more, her face showing rare, girlish excitement.

”Alright then, let’s cook first and fill our stomachs before anything else,” Lin Junyang said, lowering his voice, ”I like spicy food.”

Su Jin collected herself, then calmly said, ”Sorry sir, Mrs. Mu has just recovered from a major illness and shouldn’t eat anything too heavy. Besides, Mrs. Mu doesn’t like spicy food. I’m afraid I can’t fulfill your request.”

”Pft—” Xiao Xiao chuckled beside them.

This guy, flattering the cook all this while, never thought Sister Su, being a person of principle, wouldn’t cave.

”You ungrateful little thing, what are you laughing at?”

Lin Junyang hadn’t expected such a significant effort to yield no dish to his taste, and on top of it, being mocked by this woman. He was immediately displeased.
