Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 193: Chapter 205: Young Master Mu, A Girlfriend? (Added Chapter for Recommendations)

But she could see it clearly, not knowing who made the call.

The young nurse’s eyes were sparkling with curiosity as she stared at the phone Mu Xingfeng handed over, but by then the call had already ended and she couldn’t see anything.

”Young Master Mu, was that your girlfriend?”

The young nurse blurted out the question on a whim and regretted it immediately. Young Master Mu was not someone she should gossip about.

Just as she was waiting for Mu Xingfeng to get angry and kick her out, she heard the man in front of her respond with a grunt.

His voice was not loud, but she heard it clearly.

She looked at the man again, and his face was soft.

Oh my god, Young Master Mu actually talked to her. The young nurse felt like she was floating, knowing that for all these days, Young Master Mu had not spoken a single word to any nurse. Even though Young Master Mu had only responded with a grunt, it was enough for her to boast about with her colleagues.

But thinking about the question she asked, the young nurse’s floating heart fell to the ground with a crash, shattering into pieces.

Young Master Mu had a girlfriend? He actually had a girlfriend.

Well, they had often seen a very beautiful and elegant woman coming to take care of Young Master Mu, so that must be his girlfriend, right?

As the young nurse was picking up the pieces of her broken heart, the door to the ward opened, and Lin Ruonan walked in carrying an insulated food container.

”Xingfeng, how are you feeling today? I had the maid make some nice dishes.”

As she spoke, Lin Ruonan had already pulled the dining table over and was placing the dishes from the food container onto the table one by one.

Mu Xingfeng looked at the red-braised ribs, tomato and beef stew, stir-fried green kale, and chicken soup on the table, his eyes darkening a bit.

Although all of these dishes were very nutritious, none of them were his favorites.

He couldn’t help but think of the girl on the phone. If it were her cooking for him, she would definitely make his favorite dishes and ask for his preferences.

Lin Ruonan had been pursuing Mu Xingfeng for nearly twenty years and could never not know his tastes. Seeing his indifferent look as she placed the dishes, she knew that these weren’t to his liking.

”Xingfeng, you’re still injured and can’t eat spicy food. When you get better, I’ll have the maid make your favorite dishes.”

”Mm.” Mu Xingfeng only responded lightly, then picked up his chopsticks and started eating by himself.

He could now eat on his own, though the motion might tug at his wound and cause some pain. If the girl were here, he would definitely still pretend to need her to feed him for a few more days. But with Lin Ruonan here, he didn’t want her to feed him.

As he was eating, Old Mr. Lin and Old Mr. Mu entered the ward with their bodyguards.

Seeing Mu Xingfeng eating by himself, Old Mr. Lin became anxious immediately and glared at Lin Ruonan, ”Ruonan, how can you let Xingfeng eat by himself? With such a severe injury, how can he recover if the wound gets aggravated?”

Lin Ruonan’s face turned pale as she looked at Mu Xingfeng. She really wanted to feed him, but he didn’t want her to.

Mu Xingfeng put down his chopsticks and said calmly, ”Grandpa Lin, I insisted on eating by myself. This little injury is nothing.”

”Nothing? Do you know, you almost scared your grandfather to death.” Old Mr. Mu had already walked up and was looking his grandson up and down.

This grandson had always been his pride. At such a young age, his achievements were rare in the entire Empire.
