Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 159: Chapter 171: Leading the Way to San’s Path

Who knew this girl wouldn’t play by the rules and ran off again—this time for reasons he couldn’t fathom. Mu Xingfeng thought that perhaps he had been too lenient with her, making her see him more as a father figure than a man. It was high time to do something to remind this girl of his true intentions for approaching her.

After weighing his options, he decided on something couples typically do. Maybe by watching a movie with the little girl, he could establish his rightful place.

At that moment, An Ran was in the changing room of the bar. She had come to work today only to find that Angel had already taken over the main hall.

On her first day here, Wang Xiaoyi had warned her that if Angel was on the floor, they should try to stick to the private rooms and avoid crossing her.

Yet, the thought of working in a private room made An Ran hesitate. She was used to working on the main floor where, despite the crowd and the chaos, the worst she’d encounter was some lewd comments. Going into the private rooms, however, made her uneasy.

Just as she was dithering, her phone rang. The moment she heard Mu Xingfeng’s voice, An Ran nearly fell to the ground. Watching a movie with Instructor Mu? Was he kidding?

An Ran gritted her teeth in disbelief. Instructor Mu was practically pushing her into becoming ”the other woman.” Although he already had a fiancée, he still said those things to her and now wanted to go to a movie together. All men are the same, she thought, juggling one while eyeing another.

”Sorry, Instructor Mu, I don’t have the time. And unless it’s urgent, please don’t call me again,” she said, abruptly hanging up the phone.

On the other end, Mu Xingfeng, who had been eagerly anticipating her response, was left speechless: ”...”

Momentarily fuming over the call, An Ran finally got up, grabbed some drinks from the bar, and headed toward a private room.

She had given all her earnings from the past few weeks to An Sijia, so she needed to keep working hard to save up for next semester’s tuition.

In a private room at Hacker Bar, after the Lu family’s banquet had ended, Guo Xinyi had gathered some friends, including Lu Yi, to continue celebrating his birthday.

These young heirs and ladies loved to have fun. When Guo Xinyi suggested continuing the party, how could they refuse?

Lu Yi wasn’t a big fan of such gatherings, but with everyone egging him on, it was hard to turn Guo Xinyi down. So, he followed them to the bar.

The blasting music filled the private room.

In a corner, Guo Xinyi exchanged a glance with Sun Beibei, who immediately put down the mic and walked over.

”How’s everything arranged? Are you sure An Ran works at this bar?”

”Of course. Wang Xiaoyi introduced her here. I spoke to Angel, and she’s covering the main floor. As long as Angel’s out there, An Ran will definitely come to the private rooms. Don’t worry.” Sun Beibei reassured her while swaying her ample body to the music.

At this moment, a pimply-faced boy shouted: ”Xinyi, you really treat Young Master Lu well. My birthday’s next month; will you throw a party for everyone too?”

”Wu Lei, why don’t you look in the mirror first? If you clear up all those pimples on your face, maybe I’ll consider it,” Guo Xinyi retorted without mercy.

Everyone burst into laughter at her words.

”What do you know?” Wu Lei, unfazed, pointed at his own face, ”This is called hormonal overdrive. Do you know what that means?”

With a mischievous grin, Wu Lei pulled his female companion closer and said, ”Tell her what the consequences of my high hormonal levels are!”
