Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 10: Chapter 13 The Perfect Excuse

”Where I go is none of your business. Ye Sheng, I think I’ve made myself clear. Please don’t come looking for me anymore.”

An Ran said with a cold face, but her heart was anxious. This place was not far from the building’s entrance, and it was the only way Sun Xuehui would come back.

”Ran, listen to me, it’s not what you think.”

It’s not what she thought?

An Ran just wanted to sneer.

They say you should catch a thief in the act, and she had caught them red-handed. If it’s not what she thought, then what is it?

”Ran, believe me, in my heart, no one can replace you. Since we started dating, haven’t you seen how I’ve treated you? Please, try to understand my feelings too, okay? I’m a normal man with normal physical needs. I went to An Sijia because I cherish you and can’t bear to lose you. I’ve already said that if you don’t like it, I can cut off all contact with An Sijia. So please, don’t make a big deal out of this little thing, okay?”

Ye Sheng held onto An Ran, his face full of sincerity, but his words made An Ran want to explode with rage.

Such a small thing? Cheating on your lover is a small thing?

For the first time, An Ran realized that betrayal could come with such a perfect excuse—because he couldn’t bear to lose her. What a joke.

”Whether it was true or unintentional, this is a hurdle I can’t overcome. It’s over. I’m tired. Our values are different, and we won’t be happy together.”

After saying this, An Ran pulled her hand away and ran towards the door.

”Ran, are you really so heartless? Did you ever love me?”

Behind her, Ye Sheng shouted hysterically. An Ran closed her eyes. Two years of love, and one act of betrayal. He was actually asking her if she ever loved him...

An Sijia was engrossed in her computer game when she suddenly saw a young couple downstairs in the corner of her eye. Her eyes narrowed sharply. Wasn’t that An Ran and Ye Sheng? Why was An Ran outside?

Ignoring the big BOSS she was fighting, she ran downstairs in her pajamas.

Ye Sheng watched the slender figure leave the community and was about to leave when he saw An Sijia running down the stairs. Thinking of something, he pretended to be surprised and asked, ”Sijia, why are you dressed like this?”

An Sijia was focused on chasing after An Ran. Hearing Ye Sheng’s question, she realized her attire and hesitated, unable to respond.

”Is it because you saw me?” Ye Sheng deliberately asked.

An Ran was carrying a big backpack, obviously planning to go far. Thinking of yesterday’s conversation between An Sijia and Mom An...

Although he didn’t know why the An Family didn’t want An Ran to attend school, if it helped her achieve what she wanted to do, he was willing to help. After all, An Ran’s position in his heart was indeed very important.

Hearing Ye Sheng’s question, An Sijia finally found an excuse and nodded quickly, saying, ”Yes, Brother Sheng, are you here to see my sister?”

”Ran, is she at home?”

”Um? Wasn’t it my sister who was talking to you just now?” An Sijia was a little surprised.

”No? I just arrived and was about to go to your house to find you when I saw you running down.”

”Brother Sheng, are you here to see me?” An Sijia asked with a face full of excitement.

”Yes, I have something to tell you. Go change your clothes first, I’ll wait for you here.”

Ye Sheng decided to clarify things. He wouldn’t give up on An Ran. Although An Ran had left home, he knew her well enough to be sure she would report to Nan’an University when the semester started.

Right now, she was angry. It was okay for her to take a break. In a while, when she got to Nan’an, he would find an opportunity to reconcile with her. For now, he had to handle things with An Sijia first.

Seeing Ye Sheng’s serious face, An Sijia remembered what Ye Sheng told her yesterday and understood what he would say next.

”Brother Sheng, there’s no one at home. If you have something to say, let’s talk at home.” An Sijia said softly, her eyes shy.

Just now, she received a call from Sun Xuehui, saying she would have lunch with Mrs. Chen outside. There was no one at home, so it was a good opportunity.

”No, you go quickly. I’ll wait for you here.” Ye Sheng said.

”Brother Sheng, don’t you want to see what my sister’s room looks like? I remember there are some photos of you in her room.”

Sure enough, Ye Sheng’s eyes lit up at An Sijia’s words. He then nodded, ”Okay.”

Getting Ye Sheng’s response, An Sijia smiled and led the way. When she turned around, a hint of resentment flashed in her eyes. She still had to mention that bitch An Ran. Ye Sheng still cared about An Ran so much? It seemed she had to put in more effort.
