Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1: Chapter 1 There’s No Chance to Regret Staying

”Sister, Brother Sheng and I truly love each other, please let us be together.”

”Ran, listen to me, I love you, I have no feelings for Sijia. We’ve been together for so long, don’t you believe in our love?”

”Ran, you have to understand, I’ve always respected you in the past two years we’ve been together, but I’m also a man.”

”Woman, do you know the consequences of staying? If you stay, there will be no chance for you to regret it...”

”Hah...”

An Ran suddenly opened her eyes and sat up, her forehead already covered in cold sweat.

A week had passed, and she dreamt of that scene again.

The betrayal of her boyfriend of two years, Ye Sheng, and her sister, An Sijia.

And that person...

If you ask her if she regrets it?

She doesn’t regret it, she doesn’t regret it at all.

She had been with Ye Sheng for two years, giving her heart sincerely, but in the end...

And An Sijia, her sister, even though they had no blood relation, she treated her like family.

Is this the result of her sincere love?

”I don’t regret it, I don’t regret it...”

An Ran murmured softly, as if that could calm her emotions.

”Knock, knock, knock—”

The door was knocked on, and the next moment it was pushed open.

An Sijia stood at the bedroom door, dressed in the latest trendy dress, with a mocking look when she saw An Ran’s appearance.

”My dear sister, you’re not really sick, are you?”

An Sijia pointed her small hand at her chin, ”They say heartbreak is a kind of illness, but there’s really no need for this. Brother Sheng likes me. Even if you feel like dying, it’s useless. You might as well let go quickly and save some dignity for yourself. By the way, isn’t the best way to get over a relationship to start a new one? Well, mom arranged a marriage for you, and dad and mom are waiting for you in the living room. They asked me to call you.”

”An arranged marriage?”

An Ran looked up in shock.

She had just received her university acceptance letter last week, and it was for the medical department at her dream school, Nan’an University.

After this summer, she was supposed to start university, so where did this arranged marriage come from?

”Yes, I should congratulate you in advance, sister. Mom found you a great match.”

An Sijia laughed and then turned to leave.

An Ran frowned slightly and got up to leave her bedroom.

In the living room, her father, An Youcai, wore a deep and solemn expression, while her mother, Sun Xuehui, had a completely different look.

”Why are you looking so gloomy? Who am I doing this for? She’s just an adopted daughter, I’ve raised her for eighteen years already. If it weren’t for me, she’d still be stuck in that remote mountain village, might’ve even gotten married and had kids by now, where would she find such a good match?”

”But, Ran got into a top university, and a medical department at that. Isn’t her studying also bringing honor to our family?”

An Youcai tried to persuade his wife.

”An Youcai, are you out of your mind? What use is the medical department? Do you really think her medical studies will bring the dead back to life? Even if she goes to that school, it’s too late, your mother is already dead because of her. I’m telling you, she’s a bad luck girl. It was a mistake to bring her back in the first place, and now I’m correcting that mistake. Finding her such a good match is the best way to end things smoothly.”
