Peerless Medical Emperor

“Come and get us if you dare!”

The two girls spoke in unison, clearly not taking Chen Qingdi’s threat seriously at all.

After confiscating the two daggers, Chen Qingdi pondered how to get a confession out of them.

Even though the two couldn’t get up for the moment, they still stared at Chen Qingdi fearlessly. They were certain that someone of his stature would never do anything particularly heinous.

‘After all, the files we have on him say he’s a man of honor. A gentleman can be deceived by exploiting his principles. Why should we be afraid?’

Chen Qingdi tossed the two daggers far aside and reached out to lift one of the girls’ chins.

To his surprise, both girls scrambled back several steps in terror. “What are you doing? Don’t come near us!”

Hehehe.

Chen Qingdi sneered.

“I’m suddenly thinking that threatening to shave your heads won’t be enough. Besides, if I damaged such pretty faces, it would be my responsibility. How about this? I’ve recently been researching an acupuncture technique that can cure all sorts of diseases. Why don’t you two serve as my test subjects?”

The two didn’t know the difference between acupuncture and torture and imagined it would be like that Nanny Rong from TV who tortured people with needles. The thought turned their faces pale with fright.

“What do you want to know? Why are you treating us like this?”

Chen Qingdi said calmly, “The two of you broke into my wife’s hospital room and threw some kind of poison inside, which is why she still hasn’t woken up. Tell me what that substance was. Who sent you? What grudge do you have against me?”

The two girls fell silent.

“Since you’re unwilling to talk, don’t blame me for what happens next.”

His fingers moved like the wind, striking several acupoints on the girls’ bodies and paralyzing them.

He then called for a car and carried the two girls into it.

“My two little sisters are sick. Please take them to my home.”

Although the taxi driver noticed many suspicious things, he saw that the parties involved weren’t objecting and didn’t want to get into trouble.

Plus, Chen Qingdi had given him a generous amount of money. So, without another word, he drove them all to Chen Qingdi’s Cloudtop Villa.

At this time, Mrs. Lin’s family and the Ye Sisters’ family were out on business and not at home. Chen Qingdi took the two directly to the basement.

In the basement were only two simple hospital beds, surrounded by surgical tools like scalpels, saws, anti-inflammatories, and anesthetics.

The two sisters’ faces turned pale with fright, though it was unclear what they were imagining.

“I’m warning you, don’t do anything rash! The consequences will be more than you can imagine!”

Chen Qingdi couldn’t tell which of the two sisters had spoken, but it didn’t matter. As twins, many of their psychological and physiological reactions were linked.

He only needed to break one’s mental defenses, and the other’s would immediately collapse as well.

“I suggest you two tell the truth. If my wife’s poison can’t be neutralized, it will be one body, two lives. For her, I’m willing to kill!”

The two sisters exchanged a look and then fell completely silent, refusing to speak no matter what he asked.

Chen Qingdi wasn’t annoyed. “I am a man of honor, not some twisted Mad Demon. The interrogation methods I use are all quite civilized, you can rest assured on that point. However, even if they are civilized methods… if you can endure them, I will not hold this against you and will let you go free!”

‘The moment we get out of this, we’ll come back and finish him in the most brutal way possible.’ This thought flashed through both sisters’ minds simultaneously.

‘This man’s combat abilities are off the charts, and his medical skills are equally heaven-defying.’

‘People say medical skills can be used for ‘reverse healing’—using them to do harm. What kind of horrifying ordeal awaits the two of us is still unknown.’

‘Even if we can’t tell the whole truth right now, we can’t provoke him either.’

Therefore, both of them chose to close their eyes and rest.

Chen Qingdi poured some honey-scented liquid from a nearby container.

Judging by its viscosity and fragrant aroma, it was just honey.

He poured a cup, lifted one of the girl’s upper body, and brought the honey to her lips.

“You two will be living here for a while, and I might not be able to come by often. Honey can stave off hunger, so make do with this for now. It’s fine if you don’t want to talk; I won’t force you. But you must maintain enough physical strength to withstand my interrogation.”

One of them snapped angrily, “This is a private tribunal! We protest!”

Chen Qingdi just smiled nonchalantly.

“A tribunal requires torture instruments; I don’t have any. A tribunal requires a prison; I don’t have one of those either. No torture instruments, no prison—what’s this talk about a private tribunal? Besides, I’m feeding you honey, not poison. What are you afraid of?”

Although the girl’s upper body was immobilized, she refused to drink the substance. It didn’t matter if it was clean or dirty; the consequences of drinking it were unpredictable.

Not understanding what she was thinking, Chen Qingdi raised the cup and took a couple of sips himself.

“In fact, this is just a cup of honey. If you don’t drink it, there’s no other food here. You’ll have to bear the consequences yourself.”

Seeing that Chen Qingdi had no signs of being poisoned after drinking the honey—and in fact looked full of vigor—the two finally believed it wasn’t poison, just honey.

Fearing he would fly into a rage out of humiliation, the girl he had lifted up opened her mouth and drank all the honey.

The honey had a wonderful texture and a fragrant taste. After drinking it, she felt her whole body fill with energy.

Chen Qingdi poured another bowl and helped the other girl up. Seeing that her sister was fine, she no longer resisted and obediently drank the bowl of honey dry.

“Actually, I didn’t bring you two here to be punished. I invited you to be my guests for a few days. Aside from not being able to leave this room, you can do whatever you want in here.”

As he spoke, he clapped his hands. Several disciples from Medical God Island came in and removed all the surgical tools—anything that could be used for harm. They also replaced the walls with padded panels to prevent the two from committing suicide by running into them.

After all the dangerous elements were removed, only two simple beds and two blankets remained in the room. There was nothing else.

Chen Qingdi said to the two, “The paralysis will wear off within twenty-four hours. You won’t feel hungry for twenty-four hours, and…”

Two more female disciples from Medical God Island entered, grabbed one of the girls, and led her out of the room. Seeing the other one’s frantic expression, he smiled and explained.
