Peerless Medical Emperor

”Liu, if we don’t take out Thompson this time, I’m afraid things are going to get rough for us. After all, the boss has already taken the deposit. Our Mercenary Corps can’t afford to ruin our reputation,” Li Feng said, lowering his voice.

Qian Laoliu took a deep breath.

”I know, Li Feng. This assassination is very important to us, but a direct assault is just too risky. We need to find Thompson’s travel patterns and then set up a sniper operation.”

Just as the two were discussing their plans, Chen Qingdi walked over. ”What are you two talking about?” he asked in a low voice.

”We’re talking about how to carry out the plan to assassinate Thompson,” Qian Laoliu reported honestly.

Chen Qingdi’s expression was grave.

”You absolutely cannot let your guard down. Every operation must be planned with solid intelligence to back it up.”

He scanned the crowd. ”We can’t let anyone get exposed, or it will alert Thompson. Therefore, we must ensure this is foolproof.”

Everyone knew Chen Qingdi was right, and they all nodded in agreement. Over the next few days, they used various channels to gather information on Thompson’s movements.

Finally, on a dark and windy night, they got an important lead—Thompson would be heading to a remote resort villa in the next few days.

Upon hearing this news, Qian Laoliu and Li Feng quickly formulated a sniping plan. They decided to set up an ambush and launch a surprise attack on the road to the resort villa.

To ensure the mission’s success, they also contacted some mercenaries lying low in the city to provide support when needed.

On the day of the operation, Qian Laoliu and Li Feng took a small team of elite mercenaries and lay in ambush ahead of time in the jungle bordering the road Thompson was sure to take.

They were dressed in black combat gear, holding state-of-the-art sniper rifles and other weapons. Everyone waited, tense and excited, for the target to appear.

The ROAR of a car engine sounded in the distance. Soon, a black luxury sedan appeared in their sights. Qian Laoliu stared intently ahead through his rifle’s scope, the sniper rifle held steady in his hands.

He could clearly see Thompson in the passenger seat, his face exceptionally clear in the moonlight.

”Ready up!” Qian Laoliu commanded in a low voice.

As the sedan drew closer, Qian Laoliu’s finger tightened on the trigger. Just as the car was about to enter the optimal firing position, he took a deep breath and squeezed the trigger hard.

BANG! A gunshot ripped through the night sky. The sniper bullet flew toward the target at incredible speed.

At that very moment, however, Thompson seemed to sense the danger. He suddenly ducked, and the bullet hit the car’s rear windshield, failing to find its intended mark in his body.

’Damn, he even dodged that. The bastard’s got some serious luck!’ Qian Laoliu cursed under his breath and immediately adjusted his firing angle. However, while he was re-aiming, Thompson had already spotted their hiding place and ordered his driver to speed away.

”Quick! After them!” Li Feng yelled anxiously. But they had already given away their position. Thompson’s driver stepped on the gas, and the car quickly disappeared into the darkness.

Although the operation had failed, Qian Laoliu and Li Feng were not discouraged. They knew that as long as they had another chance, they would make Thompson pay.

In the days that followed, they continued to gather intelligence and refine their plan, preparing for the next operation.

In a bustling metropolis, Thomas, a young, wealthy heir, gripped his phone nervously. On the other end of the line was the voice of Chen Qingdi, a mysterious and imposing man.

”I’ve already paid you five million US Dollars. When is your Mercenary Corps going to actually execute the assassination plan against Thompson?” Thomas asked anxiously.

Chen Qingdi replied calmly, ”Thomas, the plan is already in motion. However, you must understand that these things cannot be rushed. With an assassination, the more seamless it is, the higher the chance of success.”

Thomas said urgently.

”I understand, but if Thompson doesn’t die soon, I’m afraid I’ll be the one who dies next. After all, he and that woman already have a child. Now, I’m just the disfavored son, a thorn in his side.”

Chen Qingdi gave a faint smile. ”Rest assured, Thomas. Our plan is meticulous, with a high chance of success. Besides, in addition to assassinating your father, our Mercenary Corps can also provide you with bodyguards. For an additional fee, of course.”

Thomas’s eyes lit up. ”That’s actually a great idea. However, I can only afford a price of three million US Dollars per year.”

The corner of Chen Qingdi’s mouth curved into a smile. ”That’s a perfectly reasonable price. Furthermore, you yourself must be reliable.”

Thomas breathed a sigh of relief. ”Good. Then please act as soon as possible.”

After hanging up, a cold smirk played on Chen Qingdi’s lips. ’This plan,’ he thought, ’will change everyone’s fate.’

After hanging up the phone, Chen Qingdi picked up the teacup on his desk and slowly savored its contents. A faint aroma of tea filled his office—a moment of peace he enjoyed every day.

Thomas was willing to pay three million US Dollars for a bodyguard from his Mercenary Corps. While this wasn’t a huge sum for Chen Qingdi’s Mingyue Group, it was still equivalent to more than half a year’s operating profit for one of its subsidiary companies. So, naturally, Chen Qingdi had agreed to the deal.

He put down his teacup and dialed the number for Qian Laoliu, the leader of the Mercenary Corps team. Qian Laoliu was one of his most capable and trusted men.

”Liu, I have a mission for you,” Chen Qingdi’s voice was steady and firm.

”Give me your orders, Boss,” Qian Laoliu replied respectfully.

”Select two elite bodyguards from the Mercenary Corps. Have them report to Thomas as soon as possible to begin their protection detail. Also, you need to devise a plan to assassinate Thompson in the shortest time possible to resolve Thomas’s crisis.” Chen Qingdi’s words were filled with resolve and cold-bloodedness.

”Yes, Boss.” A thick killing intent colored Qian Laoliu’s voice.

He knew this was an important mission. It was also a chance for them to make a name for themselves on the Outer Island, a chance to use their strength and intelligence to show everyone what they were made of.

After hanging up, Qian Laoliu immediately began discussing plans with Li Feng and the others. They had to devise a perfect assassination plot, one that would kill Thompson when he least expected it.

”First, we need to understand Thompson’s movements and his daily schedule.” A shrewd glint flickered in Qian Laoliu’s eyes.
