Peerless Medical Emperor

Chen Qingdi was silent for a moment before speaking. ”I understand your situation. I’ll get my Mercenary Corps on it right away to help you handle this.”

Thomas said gratefully, ”Thank you, President Chen.”

Chen Qingdi smiled and hung up the phone. ’This is my chance,’ he thought. ’I have to mobilize the Mercenary Corps immediately and help Thomas.’

Meanwhile, in the Tom Group headquarters, Thompson was waiting for news from Wilson. He was hoping Wilson would eliminate Thomas quickly so he could carry on with his plan without any worries.

But time ticked by, and no news came. Thompson grew more and more anxious, starting to suspect something had gone wrong.

Just then, his phone suddenly rang. He picked it up and heard a piece of news that shocked him—his son, Thomas, had found his bodyguard, Wilson, and given him a five-million-dollar check!

”What? Five million?” Thompson exclaimed. He couldn’t believe his ears. He yelled into the phone, ”Wilson, what did you just say? You got a five-million-dollar check?”

”Yes, sir,” Wilson replied. ”Mr. Thomas gave me a five-million-dollar check and told me to stay out of his affairs.”

A wave of dizziness washed over Thompson. His plans had all been shattered. His son, Thomas, knew about his scheme and had already neutralized his man with a five-million-dollar check.

He knew he was powerless now. He could only watch as his son slipped further and further from his grasp, completely helpless.

In the luxurious office, the chairman of the Tom Group, Thompson, sat before his desk. He was a middle-aged man with heavy dark circles under his eyes and thinning hair.

At that moment, he was looking with a puzzled expression at Nina, who had just walked in. The woman was carrying a prenatal report, a seductive smile on her face.

”Thompson, darling, this is your child. Look at this prenatal report—it guarantees that the baby is perfectly healthy.” Nina walked to the desk, placed the report on it, and gently caressed Thompson’s hand.

Thompson looked at the prenatal report on the desk, his heart filled with surprise and confusion. This woman was actually pregnant, and with his child. He felt like his life finally had a new sense of hope and purpose.

”Are you really sure this is my child?” Thompson asked.

”Of course it is. This is our child. I’m going to have him and make him a new member of our family,” Nina said with a smile.

”Then what about my son, Thomas?” Thompson asked.

”Thomas is your son, but *this* child is your heir. If you kill Thomas, you’ll still have this child to inherit your business,” Nina said.

Hearing this, Thompson’s heart stirred with excitement. He had always felt that his son Thomas wasn’t outstanding enough to bear the heavy responsibility of being his heir.

Now, this woman had shown him a new hope, a new future. He decided to have his assassins eliminate Thomas and make this new child his heir.

”Alright. I’ll have my assassins get rid of Thomas,” Thompson said.

”Good. I’m sure you’ll be a wonderful father,” Nina said with a smile.

As Nina left, Thompson’s mood grew even more cheerful. He felt he finally had a new hope and a future. He began urging his assassins to eliminate Thomas so that this new child could become his heir.

After receiving their orders, the assassins began to act immediately. They found Thomas’s residence and prepared to carry out the assassination plan.

Chen Qingdi sat in his office, toying with an ink-black bead in his hand, his mind on the Mercenary Corps’s affairs.

This job was crucial for the Mercenary Corps. He had handed over command to Qian Laoliu while he devoted his full attention to the daily affairs of the Mingyue Group.

”Boss, do you really have to go on this mission yourself?” Chen Yuan asked, standing before the desk with a worried expression.

Chen Qingdi smiled faintly, gently placed the black bead on the desk, and said, ”This operation is incredibly significant for the Mercenary Corps. I have to go myself.”

”But the company needs your attention too. If something goes wrong here, I won’t be able to handle it,” Chen Yuan said with a frown.

”Don’t worry. With you here at the company, nothing will go wrong. Besides, this is also an opportunity to test you. I believe you can do a good job,” Chen Qingdi said, patting Chen Yuan’s shoulder encouragingly.

”But...” Chen Yuan was still hesitant.

”No ’buts.’ Since you’re my assistant, you should trust me. I’m going to the Outer Island as soon as possible to command the Mercenary Corps’s operation. Now, arrange for a helicopter to take me to the Outer Island immediately,” Chen Qingdi interrupted.

”Yes, sir,” Chen Yuan replied helplessly. He knew he couldn’t persuade his boss, so he could only follow his instructions and make the arrangements.

Soon, a private helicopter landed on the rooftop of the Mingyue Group building.

Carrying a small case, Chen Qingdi boarded the helicopter, his heart filled with anticipation and tension. He knew this operation was incredibly significant for the Mercenary Corps and that he had to give it his all.

When the helicopter arrived at the Outer Island, Qian Laoliu and the members of the Mercenary Corps were already waiting. Everyone was overjoyed to see Chen Qingdi step off the helicopter, as if they had just seen their pillar of strength. Their trust and reliance on Chen Qingdi were deeply ingrained in each of them.

”Boss, you’re finally here!” Qian Laoliu came forward to greet him, a joyful smile on his face.

”Mm. What’s the situation?” Chen Qingdi asked.

”The situation is not good,” Qian Laoliu said, his expression grave. ”That guy Thompson has tightened his security significantly. We can’t get anywhere near him now.”

Chen Qingdi frowned. He had known this operation wouldn’t be easy, but hearing Qian Laoliu say it, he still felt a considerable amount of pressure.

He was silent for a moment, then looked up at Qian Laoliu and the members of the Mercenary Corps. ”Don’t be discouraged,” he said. ”This mission is full of challenges, but we can’t give up.”

After hearing Chen Qingdi’s words, Qian Laoliu and the Mercenary Corps members were filled with fighting spirit and confidence.

They knew that with their boss’s command and support, they would definitely be able to complete the mission.

”Now, we need to come up with a new plan,” Chen Qingdi said, looking at the crowd.

”We need to find a way to break through, to make Thompson lower his guard. At the same time, we need to find an opportunity to carry out the assassination.”
