Peerless Medical Emperor

Thomas looked up at the secretary, his eyes filled with resolve and determination. He said, ”I will never give up so easily. I will prove to all of you that I won’t be defeated.”

The secretary laughed disdainfully. ”Who do you think you are? What do you think you can change? You don’t stand a chance anymore.”

Thomas didn’t respond to the secretary’s mockery. He just sat there silently, considering his next move.

The news had been too sudden for Thomas, and he felt panicked and distraught. He began to wonder if he had done something wrong to make his father reach such a decision.

He immediately began planning his response, ready to take action.

Thomas decided to call Chen Qingdi.

”Thompson doesn’t see me as his son anymore. Since that’s the case, your assassination plan needs to proceed as soon as possible. Kill that old bastard, and I’ll add another five million US Dollars on top of the original price.”

After hearing this, Chen Qingdi chuckled and replied.

”This is good news. But you don’t need to add more money; we honor our contracts. You can rest assured. If Thompson is still alive in five days, I will not only refund all the money you’ve paid but also give you compensation.”

Hearing this promise, Thomas was finally able to truly relax.

He knew Chen Qingdi’s plan was viable, and he confidently placed his life in Chen Qingdi’s hands.

For the next few days, Thomas started closely monitoring his father’s activities.

He knew his father followed a fixed daily schedule, always under the protection of bodyguards. This made things tricky; he had no idea how to make a move.

However, Chen Qingdi told him not to worry. He told Thomas, ”We will arrange everything. You just need to follow our plan.”

Upon hearing this assurance, Thomas was finally able to relax. He knew Chen Qingdi wouldn’t let him down.

In his office at the Tom Group, Thompson sat at his luxurious desk. His secretary, Havis, stood before him.

Thompson’s brow was furrowed, and his eyes betrayed a deep-seated worry.

He looked at Havis, took a deep breath, and voiced his concerns.

”Havis, although we have stripped Thomas of all his duties, I believe he won’t just give up. He will definitely find a way to retaliate, to strike back at the Tom Group.” Thompson’s voice was firm and serious.

Havis offered a small smile and said reassuringly.

”You can rest assured, Mr. Tom. We have made ample preparations. We will give Thomas no opportunity. The moment he dares to make a move, our security team will take immediate action and show him that the Tom Group is not to be trifled with.”

Thompson smiled in satisfaction at Havis’s words.

He nodded and said, ”Excellent, Havis. You’ve done a wonderful job. The Tom Group needs more employees like you.”

Havis smiled shyly at Thompson’s praise.

She lowered her head and said, ”Thank you for the compliment, Mr. Tom. I’ll continue to do my best.”

Thompson gave Havis a satisfied look, then glanced up at the wall clock.

He realized it was getting late, so he stood up, walked over to Havis, and patted her on the shoulder.

”Alright, Havis, that’s enough work for today. You did a great job. But don’t forget, we can’t let our guard down. We must remain vigilant to guard against Thomas’s retaliation. Understand?”

”Understood, Mr. Tom,” Havis replied respectfully.

With that, Thompson left the office and returned to his private lounge. Havis, meanwhile, stayed behind in the office and began organizing files and documents.

Time passed quickly, and in the blink of an eye, evening fell. Havis had been busy in the office all day and had finally finished all her work. She stretched, walked to the window, and opened it. A gust of fresh air washed over her, lifting her spirits.

Just then, she suddenly saw a group of figures lingering around the Tom Group’s main building. Her heart tightened. She immediately picked up the phone and called the security team.

”Hello, security? This is Havis. I’ve noticed some suspicious individuals lingering around the building. Please come and check on it immediately.”

”Yes, Ms. Havis. We’ll be right there,” came the reply from security.

Havis hung up the phone and continued to stare out the window.

She watched as the suspicious figures began to approach, looking like they were about to force their way inside. She felt a surge of anxiety, but it was matched by a sense of courage and resolve.

Just then, a sudden, urgent knock sounded at the door. Havis went to the door and opened it to find the security team had already arrived. They were holding firearms and batons, looking very professional.

”Ms. Havis, we’ve been briefed on the situation you reported. Please rest assured, we’ll take care of these troublemakers,” one of the security guards said.

Havis nodded, a wave of relief washing over her.

She knew that with the security team here, the Tom Group would be safe and sound, and she, in turn, would earn even more of her boss’s trust.

Chen Qingdi sat in his office, a cup of hot tea in hand, mulling over the task ahead. He knew this mission was of great significance; he had to succeed. So, he called his subordinates, summoning Li Feng and Qian Laoliu to the office.

Before long, Li Feng and Qian Laoliu arrived at the office. Seeing Chen Qingdi looking at them with a smile, they understood the unspoken cue and sat down. Chen Qingdi poured them each a cup of hot tea, then said, ”You two are the people I trust most, and the ones I rely on the most. I assume you know what to do next, so there’s no need for me to spell it out.”

Li Feng and Qian Laoliu exchanged a look, and then Li Feng said, ”Boss, rest assured. As long as we’re on the job, nothing will go wrong. We will resolve the Thompson situation swiftly and promise it won’t damage the reputation of our Mercenary Corps.”

Chen Qingdi nodded to himself. He had full faith in Li Feng and Qian Laoliu’s abilities and loyalty. He continued, ”This job is crucial for our Mercenary Corps. I promised Thomas we’d have Thompson’s head within five days. Therefore, you must resolve this in the shortest possible time. There is zero room for error.”
