Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 1187: Chapter 2: Kingdom and Undead

”Interesting.”

Su Xiao glanced at the 16,500 world merit points. With such a large amount of world merit points, it should be possible to exchange for a high status in the original world, which is obviously a significant advantage in a completely unfamiliar world.

The competition for world merit has already begun. To some extent, this is a form of protection provided by the Reincarnation Paradise to the contractors.

Contractors who have the ability to enter the original world are either elite contractors who have participated in third-tier spatial wars or contractors who have the ability to obtain an ’Original World Invitation’. Both have a high level of difficulty in acquiring.

Therefore, the Reincarnation Paradise does not want these contractors to engage in overly fierce battles within the original world, similar to what occurred in the Hunter World, where many contractors were eliminated.

If these contractors face off before entering the original world, they will have a certain understanding of their own strength, knowing who they can provoke and who they cannot. This way, the number of casualties among contractors will significantly decrease. It can be seen that the Reincarnation Paradise does, to some extent, protect valuable contractors. Of course, this does not offset the harsh reality of competitive survival within the Paradise.

Su Xiao is contemplating whether he should participate in the world merit contest. If he didn’t have any world merit, he would naturally have to join the fray, but now that he possesses a substantial amount, it’s no longer a simple matter of having family wealth.

This time, more than a hundred contractors will enter the original world. Defeating one person can earn 1~5 points of world merit. Even if he defeats all of these people, acquiring over 400 world merit would be considered a miracle.

However, Su Xiao now holds 16,500 world merit points. The world merit he could gain from defeating all those contractors wouldn’t even compare to his current total.

Rather than battling with them, hiding temporarily might be a good choice, possibly achieving unexpected effects.

With this thought, Su Xiao clenched his fist, and the golden wing branding on the back of his hand gradually shattered. As long as he had this, Su Xiao would never die from the world merit contest. Giving it up voluntarily was equivalent to withdrawing from the contest.

The world merit contest doesn’t necessarily require defeating everyone. Once a contractor has acquired more than 2 points of world merit, they can voluntarily exit.

[Hunter has exited the world merit contest.]

[Settlement of current world merit for Hunter, world merit amount: 16,500 points.]

[Notification: Hunter will soon be transported to the original world, please prepare accordingly.]

[Preparing for transport...]

Upon seeing this notification, Su Xiao’s cheek twitched. Generally, transport requires preparation, indicating a long distance and powerful transmission force. He glanced at Bubu Wang, finding that the coward was already trembling.

[Preparing, 10, 9, 8... 3, 2, 1, transport commencing.]

Bam!!

Su Xiao’s vision went dark, and he faintly heard a scream.

Uncertain how much time had passed, Su Xiao gradually woke up, instinctively reaching to touch the back of his head. There was no real pain.

Su Xiao glanced around, finding himself on a bustling street.

Pedestrians on the street were endless, the entire stretch spanning over a dozen meters wide, with neatly paved stone tiles on the ground, and various shops lined both sides. Large wooden placards hung in front of these shops, engraved with various symbols. Some depicted a boot, others a loaf of bread.

The hair color of the passersby varied, mostly brown or black hair. They wore all kinds of linen clothes, and although the fabric was coarse, the styles were diverse.

Strangely enough, the passersby didn’t make any sound. This unusual silence puzzled Su Xiao. Observing closely, he realized that the surrounding space seemed distorted; he likely was in an anomalous space.

[Entered World; Xiya Continent]

Location: Border·Atlan City

World Difficulty: Level 20~Level 35 (Original world)

World Source: 0% (Difficulty in acquiring World Source in this world is extremely high).

World Introduction: To be revealed.

...

Seeing the ’short and weak’ world introduction, Su Xiao was initially bewildered, then noticed the ’World Introduction: To be revealed’ at the bottom.

He attempted to open the world introduction, and an oversized virtual screen appeared before him.

A falcon broke through the void, and a colossal sculpture stood tall on the earth, beneath which tens of thousands were kneeling, seemingly holding some kind of ceremony.

[Year 185 of Xiya Continent, King Adelaide Herbert pacified the Five Kingdoms and established the strongest kingdom on the continent, Holy Sodding Kingdom.]

As the prompt appeared, Su Xiao’s view changed; this was his first time experiencing such a situation — the world introduction was shown in ’CG’ mode.

A vast swamp area appeared, and a crocodile covered in scale armor lay in the mud.

Boom!

A black vortex emerged out of nowhere, instantly pulverizing and devouring the crocodile beneath it.

The black vortex rapidly expanded, and a withered hand reached out from within, followed soon after by a humanoid creature emerging from the vortex.

”Dalala Makuit (unpolluted air by the Source of Death).”

The humanoid creature took a deep breath, and upon inhaling this foul air, its expression was as though it had taken drugs, excited to the point of trembling.

”Kosisi Gabba (must notify the clansmen).”

The humanoid creature pulled out an animal skull, some suspicious hair, and a bottle of black viscous liquid from its embrace, then began arranging beside the black vortex, which gradually expanded.

The scene changed as a massive army of humanoid creatures began streaming out from the vortex, their numbers reaching into the tens of thousands.

The humanoid creatures seemed to be migrating en masse. Men, women, children, and the elderly all emerged from the vortex, thankfully in a swamp area where no humans noticed.

When the last humanoid creature walked out of the vortex, they closed it permanently because their former homeland was no longer suitable for living. If not for discovering Xiya Continent, they would have perished within a century.

[Year 217 of Xiya Continent, alien creatures entered Xiya Continent.]

[Year 218 of Xiya Continent, a group of adventurers stumbled into ’Dark Moon Marsh’ and were stunned by the scene before them.]

[Year 218 of Xiya Continent, the mightiest kingdom on land, ’Holy Sodding Kingdom’, sent its army into ’Dark Moon Marsh’ to fight alien creatures, resulting in 580,000 soldiers buried in ’Dark Moon Marsh’. Upon hearing the news, Iron Crown King Adelaide Herbert was furious.]

[The Holy Sodding Kingdom army entered ’Dark Moon Marsh’ again, but suffered heavy losses and returned empty-handed.]

[Later that same year, Iron Crown King Adelaide named the alien creatures ’Undead’, humanity’s mortal foe. In reality, these Undead Clans are neither undead creatures nor spiritual bodies; they are simply a species closely resembling undead beings.]

[Year 369 of Xiya Continent, Holy Sodding Kingdom and Undead Clan have been at war for over a century.]

[Year 763 of Xiya Continent, Holy Sodding Kingdom and Undead Clan halted hostilities, dividing the land and reaching a non-aggression pact. Within Holy Sodding Kingdom, nearly no able-bodied males could be found; Undead Clan faced losses exceeding 60%.]

[Year 1083 of Xiya Continent, Undead Clan launched a massive attack on human territories, for unknown reasons.]

[Year 1085 of Xiya Continent, humans suffered defeat across the board, Tyrant King Tyler Herbert was sent to the execution throne, and a new king ascended to power.]

[Year 1087 of Xiya Continent, humanity deciphered the secret of the undead, acquiring undead strength, ’Holy Warriors’ emerged.]

[Year 1099 of Xiya Continent, the technology for ’Holy Warriors’ matured and was deployed massively on the battlefield, reclaiming large swathes of territory, pushing the Undead Clan back to ’Dark Moon Marsh’.]

[Year 1102 of Xiya Continent, the Wall of God was constructed, separating human and undead territories, becoming the frontline of humanity’s defense.]

[Year 1106 of Xiya Continent, numerous ’Holy Warriors’ defected from the kingdom, the secret of ’Holy Warriors’ was revealed. More powerful Holy Warriors were closer to undead, and upon reaching a certain extreme, they will transform into Undead Lords, entities more terrifying than undead.]

[Year 1108 of Xiya Continent, cultivation of Holy Warriors ceased.]

[Year 1110 of Xiya Continent, the Wall of God was breached for the first time. That same year, Holy Warriors were once again active on the battlefield.]

[Notification: Hunter is about to enter the original world. Xiya Continent, Time: Year 1536 of Xiya Continent.]

[Notification: Please exchange for the Identity Mimicking Function, as failing to do so will default to having no identity.]

[Warning: World merit will be reset upon leaving this world.]
