Chapter 1079: Chapter 81: War Between Two Rabble Groups

The Ninja Union Army entered the desert area from the direction of the Land of Thunder, while the Akatsuki Organization advanced from the direction of the Country of Fire.

At this point in time, it is meaningless to launch surprise attacks on the major ninja villages. Except for the Hidden Cloud Village, the other ninja villages have already relocated their civilians, leaving only empty shells.

It can be said that the major ninja villages have gone all out this time, and the reason for such unity is because the Akatsuki Organization has the ability to destroy any one of the ninja villages on its own.

Although both armies are large in number, they march at great speed. Not to mention the Ninja Union Army, the hundred thousand Bai Jue controlled by Dou reached the vicinity of the battlefield in just over ten hours.

The main battlefield is a vast desert and gobi area, which is the border between the Land of Thunder and the Country of Fire. If a war breaks out between the Hidden Cloud Village and Konoha, this would be the buffer zone.

On both sides of the desert and gobi are large forests. Entering either side of the forest is equivalent to entering the territory of the Land of Thunder or the Country of Fire.

Before both armies reached the main battlefield desert area, they clashed in the forest areas on both sides, where some Bai Jue crossed the desert and reached the forest on the edge of the Land of Thunder.

Bai Jue has the ability to disguise as others, and this advantage will certainly manifest in the war.

Swish, swish...

Dozens of figures skimmed through the forest; these were the ninjas of the Ninja Union Army, belonging to the vanguard.

Hundreds of Bai Jue emerged from the ground, all looking identical, with pale green short hair, white skin, and faintly visible spikes on their bodies.

These Bai Jue suddenly appeared, blocking the vanguard of the Ninja Union Army. As soon as they met, they engaged in battle without any nonsense.

Although Bai Jue had the numerical advantage, their abilities were simple, and they immediately fell into a disadvantage when clashing with the Ninja Union Army.

Even so, ten minutes later, hundreds of corpses lay on the ground; the vanguard of the Ninja Union Army was completely annihilated, as there were just too many Bai Jue.

The surviving hundred-plus Bai Jue began to deal with the corpses of the ninjas. Moments later, dozens of Bai Jue disguised as the vanguard of the Ninja Union Army appeared. Each one had ’injuries’ and quickly dispersed to pretend to be the scattered vanguard of the Ninja Union Army, infiltrating the main army.

It’s not about dozens of Bai Jue entering the enemy army. Even if only a few Bai Jue infiltrate the main force of the Ninja Union Army, it can have a significant impact on the enemy.

Bai Jue not only disguises the appearance but also the chakra fluctuations, meaning that perception-type ninjas cannot detect them at all.

Not to mention how many ninjas Bai Jue can ambush, just spreading this news will cause a significant blow to the morale of the Ninja Union Army, causing ninjas on the battlefield to become suspicious and distrustful of one another.

Of course, the skirmish in the forest can only be considered a minor friction; the real battlefield for both sides is in the desert.

The yellow sand swept across, and a mighty force of the Ninja Union Army entered the desert; this was the second troop of the Ninja Union Army, the Close Combat Combined Team. Their primary purpose was to block the enemy’s front line forces, namely the Bai Jue replicas, so they were the first to enter the battlefield.

The second troop was commanded by Huang Tu from the Iwagakure Village. This ninja troop had the largest number of ninjas, with over twenty thousand, although the strength of the ninjas in this team was somewhat uneven.

The main members of the second troop were: Hei Tu, Neji Hyuga, Karui, Hinata Hyuga, among others.

Following the second troop was the first troop and the third troop, which did not spread out after entering the battlefield but advanced in a stepped formation forward.

Huang Tu ran quickly on the desert, with Hei Tu, Neji Hyuga, Karui, and Hinata Hyuga behind him, and further behind were over twenty thousand ninjas.

”Captain, according to the intelligence unit, a large number of enemies have been spotted ahead.”

The reserve Fourth Tsuchikage Hei Tu spoke. Although the commander of the second troop, Huang Tu, was her father, she didn’t address him as such.

”The number.”

Huang Tu’s expression was calm; although not famous, his strength was not weak.

”About thirty thousand.”

”All troops, halt and prepare for battle.”

Huang Tu immediately ordered, and the over twenty thousand strong troop stopped advancing in just ten seconds, showing how strong the ninja’s execution ability was.

Although their execution was strong, from Hei Tu’s command, it was apparent that ninjas were still exploring how to handle such large-scale wars.

A few hundred meters ahead, Su Xiao sat up on a stone pillar, with traces of blood visible at his cuff.

”Looks like the main force has arrived.”

Su Xiao looked at the distant main force of the Ninja Union Army. The strong physique of Huang Tu was the first to catch his eye. Behind him stood the black-haired girl Hei Tu.

The father and daughter’s strength was formidable, but Su Xiao didn’t care about the two of them. After the fight began, he would make them realize how powerless ninjas were in such large-scale wars.

One by one, the Bai Jue replicas drilled out from the yellow sand. They had been lying in ambush here long enough to perform photosynthesis.

That’s right, photosynthesis. The Bai Jue replicas were special, able to recover chakra through photosynthesis.

Over thirty thousand Bai Jue emerged, a vast expanse of white in sight. Unlike in the original story, they didn’t charge with kunai or unarmed towards the Ninja Union Army.

These thirty thousand Bai Jue replicas all held a wooden shield in their left hand and a dark green wood spear in their right. Some Bai Jue with abundant chakra even covered themselves with a layer of wooden armor.

Bai Jue could use basic Wood Jutsu. After all, they were created with Hashirama Cells, though using powerful Wood Jutsu was impossible for them.

While unable to perform strong Wood Jutsu, they could create some weapons with Wood Jutsu, or rather, it’s not considered true Wood Jutsu, but rather sacrificing a small amount of cells and a large amount of chakra within their bodies to produce wood.

Thirty thousand Bai Jue formed three formations, each holding wooden shields and spears, each formation consisting of ten thousand men, looking quite imposing and resembling a regular army at first glance.

Seeing this scene, Su Xiao nodded in satisfaction. However, seconds later, a chaotic sound of footsteps was heard.

Bai Jue began to change formations, disrupting the neat formation. Due to being too unfamiliar with changing formations, some Bai Jue even tripped over their companions.

Bu Bu Wang beside Su Xiao watched this and turned to Su Xiao, seemingly saying, ”Master, even though I shouldn’t say this, they do look like a ragtag bunch.”

”Can’t expect too much. Although their formation change isn’t great, they have barely formed a T-Shaped Charge Formation.”

Three teams of Bai Jue formed three T-shapes, a kind of charge formation that can stretch the formation to its maximum, thus reducing the area affected by large-scale ninjutsu and avoiding being easily scattered. Even if the Bai Jue in the front row all die during the charge, those in the back will pierce into the enemy’s ranks like a sharp cone.

”Kill!.”

”Ah—”

The Ninja Union Army’s side roared out, and all the ninjas of the second troop charged toward the Bai Jue.

Seeing these roaring ninjas, Su Xiao also judged them to be a ragtag bunch. He recalled the war world’s soldiers’ shouts before their charge, where hundreds of thousands shouted ”kill, kill, kill” in unison, a truly stirring sound.

The Ninja Union Army initiated the charge, and the Bai Jue Corps also began their charge, forming a semi-enclosed encirclement charging toward the Ninja Union Army.

With Bai Jue’s current formation, even if thousands are killed by the Ninja Union Army during the charge, as soon as the melee begins, they can inflict heavy damage on the Ninja Union Army.

However, a few seconds into the Bai Jue’s charge, the smiles on Su Xiao and Bu Bu Wang’s faces gradually disappeared.

The three T-shaped battle formations disappeared in less than ten seconds after the Bai Jue charged, and over thirty thousand Bai Jue converged together, chaotically rushing toward the Ninja Union Army; they might as well have shouted, ”We are the miscellaneous troops.”

”These... a ragtag bunch.”

Su Xiao slowly withdrew the long knife from his waist; these Bai Jue Corps were only suitable as cannon fodder.
