Chapter 1062: Chapter 64: Blood-Red

After Rose transformed, her eyes became even darker, with a hint of red glow emerging from the center of those dark eyes.

”I see, I slaughter...”

Rose murmured, her gaze turning bloodthirsty and berserk, but this frenzy vanished in an instant, and her gaze soon regained calmness.

”Habo Diya, don’t struggle anymore, you can’t beat me.”

The two war scythes in Rose’s hands emitted a red glow; they were demon scythes that could possibly devour the master, and also growing weapons.

Su Xiao looked at Rose with some confusion; she had always given him a strange feeling, sometimes very calm, and sometimes revealing killing intent without hesitation.

After she transformed, that strange feeling became even stronger. Su Xiao’s enemy before him was Rose alone, but in his intuition, she seemed like two people.

Undoubtedly, Rose had a ninety percent likelihood of being close combat; as long as the strength wasn’t overwhelming, Su Xiao had never felt intimidated in close combat by anyone.

Su Xiao was in great condition now; as he stepped on the ground, the release of breath ability activated, and a wave of blood aura surged around.

Whoo~

Su Xiao’s aura swept over Rose, and Rose frowned, suffering minor injuries due to the active effect of the release of breath.

Su Xiao immediately received a prompt indicating the passive effect of the release of breath failed to take effect, meaning Rose’s willpower was very strong.

This was within reason, Rose far exceeded most Contractors in terms of willpower; if her willpower weren’t strong enough, she wouldn’t qualify to wield the two demon scythes in her hands.

At the moment the release of breath touched Rose, there was a booming sound from the ground, and A Mu charged toward Rose with his head down.

In a 1v1 situation, Su Xiao would surely deploy A Mu to lead the charge.

Boom, boom, boom...

A Mu rushed in a few steps to stand before Rose, and the stone slab ground behind him shattered inch by inch.

He charged with his head down, the pair of cold mist-rising horns aimed at Rose. Rose, a master in close combat, immediately crouched her body, maintaining stable balance.

The horns came thrusting; the war scythe in Rose’s hand spun several times, like two hooks; she hooked A Mu’s horns from above.

A Mu staggered noticeably, and Rose’s slender arms tensed, forcibly pressing A Mu’s head down.

But it didn’t stop there; leveraging A Mu’s forward momentum, Rose leaped, left a foot on A Mu’s head.

Boom!

A Mu’s head plunged into the ground directly, the horns embedded below, ice crystals formed on the surrounding ground.

Rose stood atop A Mu’s head; she raised her arms holding the scythe high, the two scythes attacked A Mu’s nape like two poison fangs.

If these two scythes struck true, even if A Mu didn’t die, he’d lose combat strength temporarily.

But just as Rose was about to make her move, she suddenly squatted down.

Clang.

A blade aura sliced through the air above Rose’s head, severing several strands of red hair. Rose bared her little white teeth, resembling an infuriated mother leopard during battle.

The blade was from Su Xiao, who surely wouldn’t idly spectate.

Rose just dodged Su Xiao’s attack and swung her arm, throwing her left-hand-held scythe.

As this demon scythe left her hand, several sharp blades ejected from the spine, and the whole demon scythe spun swiftly, forming a wheel, slicing straight toward Su Xiao.

Su Xiao’s pupils contracted slightly; leveraging intuition ability and dynamic vision, he captured the trajectory of the blade wheel.

The blade wheel approached Su Xiao at extreme speed; Su Xiao swung his long knife sideways.

Ding!

The blade wheel was sliced away, embedded straight into the ceiling, depth unknown.

Rose’s act of throwing the demon scythe puzzled Su Xiao; he had observed her close combat skills carefully; would someone with such rich combat experience throw away their weapon casually?

The answer was evident in less than a second; the ceiling where the demon scythe embedded revealed large cracks.

With a crash, rubble fell from above, and in the fragments, Su Xiao vaguely saw a blood aura shadow.

Whoo!

Rose threw her right-hand-held demon scythe again, forming another blade wheel.

The blade wheel whistled toward Su Xiao; although quick, it posed little threat to him. Just as Su Xiao prepared to slice away this blade wheel, he suddenly sidestepped unprompted.

A demon scythe sliced close to Su Xiao’s cheek, in a side-stepping stance, Su Xiao raised his foot to kick.

With a thud, a blood aura shadow resembling Rose’s build got kicked away, holding a demon scythe.

Another blade wheel-forming demon scythe had already reached behind Su Xiao, releasing a blood mist, forming a blood aura shadow instantaneously.

The shadow’s form resembled Rose, emerging just to grab the scythe and slash it toward Su Xiao’s nape.

Su Xiao flipped his long knife, gripping the blade in reverse, stabbing backward.

With a swift brush sound, Dragon Slash pierced the blood aura shadow’s head, Blue Steel Shadow energy surged.

The blood aura shadow seemed unfazed by the piercing damage; however, Blue Steel Shadow energy made it freeze in place like a malfunctioning robot.

Just after controlling the blood aura shadow behind him, the blood aura shadow in front was already attacking him; helpless, Su Xiao withdrew Dragon Slash from the rear shadow and extended it horizontally in front.

Clang.

Sparks flew, demon scythe clashed with Dragon Slash, creating a Kaka-like friction sound.

Blocking the frontal cleave, Su Xiao unhesitatingly kicked backward, sending the rear blood aura shadow flying.

Su Xiao now knew why Rose threw her weapon; utilizing these two blood aura shadows was similar to a clone ability but much higher-level. They didn’t disappear upon attack and possessed close combat ability not weaker than Rose herself.

Su Xiao’s gaze turned toward Rose; he originally thought Rose was speed-type, but it wasn’t the case. This girl evidently leaned toward strength-type.

Su Xiao was drawn by the two blood aura shadows but not in haste; Rose couldn’t harm A Mu in a short time.

The constant clash of weapons resounded; though the two shadows assailed Su Xiao forwards and backward, they were pressed back by Su Xiao blow by blow, their blood aura expiring. This indicated the shadows weren’t invincible.

Su Xiao engaged fiercely, while A Mu and Bu Bu Wang managed to keep Rose herself at bay.

Bu Bu Wang limped toward the battlefield’s edge, having noticed Rose threw her weapon; sensing opportunity, he rushed forward to aid A Mu against Rose.

But, those seemingly delicate white fists of Rose weren’t as powerless as they looked; Bu Bu Wang, joining the fray for just five seconds, got punched several times by Rose, beaten badly, almost hitting rock bottom.

Bu Bu Wang gathered the situation was dire, thus withdrew behind A Mu’s cover.

Bu Bu Wang got beaten miserably, not mentioning his limping posture, his swollen mouth, cheeks puffed thicker than his head, resembling bee stings. His eyes squeezed to a squint due to the swelling.

Squinting, Bu Bu Wang stared at Rose, his gaze seemingly expressing, ”Little Bitch, just wait and see.”
