Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 1058: Chapter 60: Deidara’s Defection?

Su Xiao and his team successfully entered Konoha Village, and the possibility of Onogi continuing his pursuit was low. Even if the Five Great Shinobi Villages seemed united now, Onogi could not lead a large number of Iwagakure Ninjas into the Country of Fire due to the political issues between the shinobi villages.

This was indeed the case, as Su Xiao and the others had already been resting for a long time in a forest at the border of the Country of Fire without seeing any Iwagakure Ninjas in pursuit.

Overall, the attack on Shuyan Village resulted in minimal losses for Su Xiao, with only some time spent and not many gains, mainly just killing one Jonin and several Chunin.

Perhaps the Legendary Level treasure box had exhausted Su Xiao’s luck recently, and killing that Jonin did not result in any treasure box drop. As for the gains concerning the World Source, a total of 1.7% was obtained.

Killing that Jonin earned Su Xiao 1.5% of the World Source, while the rest came from defeating the Chunin.

This puzzled Su Xiao a bit because in his previous entry into the Naruto World, eliminating members of the Hidden Mist Department had nearly earned him 2% of the World Source, and this time, the Iwagakure Jonin was certainly stronger than those in the Hidden Mist Department.

This led Su Xiao to think that the amount of World Source acquired from defeating enemies wasn’t fixed but varied depending on various circumstances. After extensive exploration, he concluded the following:

Firstly, the amount of World Source obtained is closely related to the strength difference between him and the enemy. His strength is likely calculated based on his power at the moment he enters the Derivative World.

The smaller the strength gap between Su Xiao and the enemy, the more World Source is gained. If the enemy’s strength far exceeds Su Xiao’s, then even more World Source will be acquired.

If Su Xiao’s strength completely overwhelms the enemy, the World Source obtained after defeating them will be minimal, even non-existent.

Moreover, the amount of World Source received from defeating characters in the plot is not only related to their strength but also their status and identity.

For example, if Su Xiao were to kill the Daimyo of the Country of Fire, he would surely acquire a substantial amount of World Source, even if the Daimyo’s strength is very weak, because his high position and authority are parts of his strength.

Su Xiao once killed a king in the first Derivative World, specifically Philip Herbert, the King of Goa Kingdom in the Pirate World.

Herbert’s strength was pitiful, but he was a king, and after killing Herbert, Su Xiao found a very special White treasure chest.

Su Xiao still remembers the appearance of that chest, which was unlike any treasure chest he had ever seen, and upon opening it, he acquired the World Tree Ring.

It was precisely because of obtaining the World Tree Ring that he could trade with Reincarnation Paradise and acquire the legacy of the Shadow of Annihilation Law, giving him a strong starting advantage in the second Derivative World.

Initially, Su Xiao did not recognize the value and thought the World Tree Ring was merely a rare item.

World Tree Ring

Quality: White

Rating: ???

Description: This is a ring crafted from Adam’s Wood. Do not underestimate it; its material comes from the core of the Adam Tree, which can also be known as the Tree of the World and is a pillar of the Pirate World.

...

A pillar of the Derivative World, Rating ???, now it seems that even if the World Tree Ring cannot be directly equipped, it could be exchanged for a large amount of World Source.

If Su Xiao obtained the World Tree Ring now, he could reap more benefits. Unfortunately, he only encountered such a special White quality treasure chest once and has never seen it again.

As Su Xiao sat by the stream reminiscing, footsteps echoed behind him, somewhat unfamiliar.

Su Xiao turned his head to look; it was Deidara, who had just woken up and was gathering clay nearby. Without clay, Deidara’s combat strength would drop by at least eighty percent.

”Thanks a lot this time.”

Deidara crouched down by the stream and scooped up a handful of clear water to wash his face, grimacing with pain.

”Oh.”

Su Xiao didn’t react much, and Deidara didn’t say anything further.

”The Akatsuki Organization won’t last long.”

Su Xiao suddenly spoke.

”Hmm?”

Deidara looked at Su Xiao, water trickling through his fingers.

”Not to mention that more than half of the members have died in battle, nowadays Akatsuki doesn’t satisfy Madara’s appetite.”

Su Xiao beckoned to A Mu in the distance, who hesitated for a moment, then walked over with his beloved cloth bag.

Su Xiao took out a wild fruit he had never seen from the bag. Whether it was A Mu’s talent or something else, the wild fruits it found were mysteriously delicious.

Su Xiao took out three wild fruits from the bag, and the three-meter-tall killing machine, A Mu, looked somewhat aggrieved as these fruits were intentionally reserved for later, good things should of course be saved for last.

Seeing A Mu’s almost crying cow-like face, Su Xiao handed back the cloth bag to A Mu.

A Mu hurriedly hugged the bag, opened it, and looked at the wild fruits inside; Bubu Wang nearby swallowed hard, eyeing those fruits for a long time.

With a crunch, the sweet and sour juice burst in Su Xiao’s mouth, filling his mouth with a faint fragrance.

”Madara’s appetite?”

Deidara flicked the water off his hands.

”Yes, Madara wants to simultaneously start a war against the Five Great Shinobi Villages. With Akatsuki’s current combat strength, there’s no way it could defeat the joint army of the Five Great Shinobi Villages.”

”Seems that way.”

Deidara thought over it.

”Speaking of which, I joined Akatsuki mainly to prove that Explosion Release is the true art, not Itachi’s Sharingan. With Itachi dead, I seem to have one less competitor.”

Deidara stood up with a huff.

”Not only is Itachi dead, but the leader, Nagato, is also dead. After those two died, I’ve always felt Akatsuki is strange, and Madara’s ideals are not impressive. Whatever about the Moon’s Eye, if it’s like that, how would I continue exploring art, but...”

Deidara seemed to discover a ’New World,’ his eyes gleaming with dangerous light.

”What, are you planning to leave Akatsuki? Akatsuki, since its inception, has never had anyone leave. If you want to break away, you’ll have to betray it.”

”...”

Deidara didn’t speak, seemingly contemplating something.

The reason Su Xiao stayed in Akatsuki was because he was an associate with Obito, and their initial goals were the same—to incite war in the Ninja World.

As for Kisame, he was initially recruited to Akatsuki by Obito, therefore choosing to stay.

Sasuke was manipulated by Obito to stay under various pretenses.

Deidara, however, was different. His original purpose for joining Akatsuki was to defeat Itachi and prove that his Explosion Release was true art. With Itachi dead, Deidara’s rival disappeared. As for Sasuke, after some time, Deidara couldn’t place Sasuke on equal footing with Itachi.

Furthermore, Deidara had originally chosen Nagato as his leader, not Obito, so he indeed had no further reason to remain.

Actually, Deidara had already been considering leaving Akatsuki before.

”Was Madara there in the recent attack on Shuyan Village?”

The forest wind blew, lifting a few leaves.

”Yes.”

”I see.”

Deidara sighed, temporarily dismissing the thought of leaving Akatsuki.
