Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 252: Chapter 62: Go Deep

The cave people Su Xiao had seen before were just laborers; those holding long whips were the guards, and there were four in total.

The purpose of the steel machinery on the open ground was unclear, with large clouds of steam intermittently puffing out from the gaps in the machinery, making it very dangerous to work in the area.

”Ah!”

A miserable scream echoed. It was a cave person scalded by steam, large blisters forming on their skin as they writhed in agony on the ground.

The surrounding cave people shrank back in fear, while a nearby cave-keeper roared in anger, seemingly displeased with the incident.

”Gulu baba... (Unknown language)”

The cave-keeper pointed at the injured cave person, saying something unknown.

After the cave-keeper spoke, the cave laborers all made swallowing motions.

A cave laborer stepped forward to check the injured individual, shaking their head, indicating that survival was impossible.

The cave-keeper tilted their chin up, and the cave laborers started dancing with excitement.

The laborers clumsily lifted the injured person and brought them to an area with the most steam vents, tossing the wounded into the steam.

”Ah!!”

A heart-wrenching scream came, and a few seconds later, there was silence within the steam.

About a minute later, a cave laborer produced an iron hook from somewhere, dragging out the half-cooked cave person from the steam.

The cave laborers drooled at the mouth; their gaunt appearance made it clear they hadn’t eaten well in a long time.

”Tatu tu... (Unknown language).”

The cave-keeper shouted, and the laborers obediently stood their ground.

The cave-keeper leapt from the steel machinery, jumping more than ten meters with one bound.

With a thud, the cave-keeper landed, eyes scanning the body of the cooked cave person, eventually pulling off an arm and leisurely eating it.

Once the cave-keeper had chosen, the surrounding laborers swarmed in, and within two seconds, nothing was left of the cooked cave person.

This scene unfolded before Su Xiao, his gaze fixed on the cave-keeper; that jump was no ordinary feat.

”Ugh~.”

The Little Emperor behind him retched dryly, his face pale.

”What do we... do now? These cave people... seem very tough.”

The Little Emperor looked fearfully at the cave people on the open ground.

Su Xiao knew these cave people were tough customers, but he had to get through here.

In the open air, Su Xiao would have a hard time with these cave people, but in the cave, it was different.

Taking out a brightly colored test tube, Su Xiao opened it and threw it like a bowling ball into the open ground.

The test tube rolled steadily across the ground, quickly settling beneath a large steel machine.

A light red mist drifted out, gradually dispersing into the air.

Su Xiao took out three gas masks, tossing one to the Little Emperor and putting one on Bubute Ni.

Seeing Bubute Ni in the gas mask almost made Su Xiao laugh out loud.

Clamping the gas mask over his mouth, Su Xiao waited for the chemical fumes to diffuse across the open ground.

This was made by some chemical genius—a contractor who also specialized in selling such items within Reincarnation Paradise. Not expensive but highly effective.

This time, it wasn’t an anesthetic potion but something several times more lethal, permanently damaging the nervous system, albeit with a slow effect, needing a semi-enclosed environment, hence it’s only 50 Paradise coins.

After about ten minutes, Su Xiao frowned; these cave people had incredibly high poison resistance—it usually took effect within three minutes, but ten minutes had gone by without any noticeable reaction from them.

It took about half an hour for the cave people to react, with one staggering forward a few steps before collapsing, twitching like a fish out of water.

Chain reactions occurred swiftly, with one cave person after another collapsing, angering the cave-keepers, who swung their whips, thrashing the fallen laborers, one of whom was whipped to a pulp after a few lashes.

A few seconds later, the cave-keeper sensed something was wrong, swaying but somehow managing to stand firm, showing no signs of collapsing.

The cave-keeper roared a command, presumably telling the laborers and other keepers to leave the open ground.

But they suddenly realized all the laborers had fallen to the ground, leaving only four unaffected keepers on the premises.

Seeing this, Su Xiao emerged from hiding; to get through, he must eliminate the keepers.

”Tuta.”

The cave-keeper shouted, tossing aside his whip and unsheathing a one-meter-long hammer from his waist, its head stained with darkened blood and dried scraps of flesh.

The four keepers, barefoot, charged at Su Xiao, their feet slapping the ground.

This time, Su Xiao guessed what ’Tuta’ meant—likely ’enemy’.

”Bu Bu, lure away two, just stall them.”

Bubute Ni barked and charged the cave-keepers, quickly maneuvering and making a sharp ninety-degree turn near them—the goofball had somehow learned ’drifting’.

Clearly, the cave-keepers had never seen anything like Bubute Ni, for three cried out and chased after him. This was undoubtedly good news.

The cave-keepers staggered a bit during their run, indicating the chemicals had some effect, albeit minimal.

A cave-keeper charged at Su Xiao, baring rows of blackened teeth, seemingly intent on devouring him.

Upon reaching Su Xiao, the cave-keeper swung upward the one-meter-long, arm-thick metal hammer.

A fierce gust of wind struck head-on. Su Xiao had Dragon Slash ready in front, but upon sensing the incoming force, he quickly dodged sideways.

Boom!

The hammer smashed down right next to Su Xiao, leaving a half-meter-deep crater in the ground.

If that had hit Dragon Slash, even if it withstood the blow, Su Xiao would not have held on to it—the force was that terrifying.

Su Xiao took out the ”Eye of Havana” to check the enemy’s attributes; the cave-keeper seemed very strong.

Name: Cave Keeper (Chemical Poisoning)

Type: Alchemical Creature

Life Value: 86%.

Mana Value: 100

Power: 30

Agility: 22

Stamina: 30

Intelligence: 10

Charm: 2

Skill 1: Hammer Strike (Active), powerfully swings the hammer forward, dealing damage equaling Power ×3 to the struck enemy and causing a bone-shattering effect, consuming 30 mana points.

...

Su Xiao’s pupils contracted sharply; the cave-keeper was clearly a minion of the ’Bilumake Alchemy Testing Ground’ and had only one skill.

But this minion’s attributes were too strong. Its Power and Stamina attributes both reached 30 points.

Mind you, the cave-keeper wasn’t large, yet its 30 Power points could unleash tremendous damage.

Su Xiao remained on alert; not only was the cave-keeper’s Power 30 points, but its Stamina was also 30 points, indicating strong life energy in the compound.

Dodging the cave-keeper’s hammer, Su Xiao gripped Dragon Slash tightly, lowered his stance, side-stepped, and sliced at the creature’s chest.

Slicing noise.

The long knife cut into flesh, but after a few centimeters, resistance emerged—it was like slicing into a piece of highly resilient rubber.

Su Xiao withdrew his blade and retreated as the cave-keeper seemed indifferent to its wound, wildly swinging the hammer at Su Xiao.
