Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

”What a... mess.”

Lucilia said helplessly.

She had in her possession six Treasures, and the combination of these six Treasures granted her the right to control part of the world’s cycle of reincarnation mechanism.

Whether it was the Four Divine or the world itself, or the life longing for reincarnation, all were eagerly urging her to begin work.

She indeed started working, beginning to mend this world, making its order a bit more stable.

There was no choice, when it came to repairing reincarnation, only she could accomplish it now, and after the repairs, the order born from the world could further suppress the Chaos.

But when she arrived here.

She realized just how profound the problem was with the world’s reincarnation mechanism.

She was standing in the hall at the center of the Nether River.

In a dark and chilly world.

Everywhere were wandering souls.

The Nether River had dried up, turning from a vast ocean-like river into a small stream.

Crowded with departed souls.

There were no pathways, no guides leading ignorant souls, guiding them on their journey.

They could only traverse across the boundless wilderness and the dried-up riverbed, entering the areas where the Nether River still flowed, to wade into the water and undergo reincarnation.

The efficiency of the entire reincarnation process was exceedingly low.

This is also why the population of this world could never increase.

According to records from the Great Library,

During the Golden Era, the population was nearly infinite in number.

According to scholars’ estimates, they only calculated one large area connected by eight Divine.

In just that gathering area, the population of intelligent life exceeded ten billion.

This world was infinitely vast.

Now, after being shattered, not only did the population plummet, but even the habitable land was scarce.

The naturally dead souls gathered in large numbers in this area, proceeding with reincarnation slowly over time.

Lucilia stood in the dilapidated Soul Hall.

Looking at the records stored within this Soul Hall, records originating from the world’s instincts.

”After the world is repaired, the population is about 5.6 billion, oh, is there still this many?”

Lucilia couldn’t imagine how many people there were before the world broke.

It’s known that the ordinary mortals who survived could be described as one in ten or even one in a hundred.

Moreover, the repair is a very long process.

In such a process, it’s astounding that these people lived on completely chaotic and broken world fragments.

In this situation, when the fragments were finally pieced together, there were still over 50 billion people.

Lucilia simply couldn’t imagine it.

She could only continue looking at the records.

From these records, Lucilia glimpsed a bit of the past.

She could guarantee that there were absolutely more than just the Four Divine repairing the world at that time.

According to the records, it was estimated there were at least seven or eight or more.

When she was lost in her thoughts, a female soul appeared behind her.

”Hello.”

”Ah!”

Lucilia was startled, her figure immediately vanished from the spot. Then, clad in a black cloak, holding a large scythe, she looked at the female who appeared in the spot she just vacated.

A soul.

The soul was covered with cracks, the cracks even spread across her face, giving the originally beautiful face a certain strange aesthetic.

She just looked at Lucilia with a smile.

”Hello.”

”Who are you? Why are you here? Shouldn’t this place be empty? Moreover, ordinary souls can’t come in.”

Upon hearing Lucilia’s questioning, she merely smiled and said, ”I’m Menasha.”

”Menasha? I’ve heard that name, let me think...”

Lucilia quickly sifted through her memories and finally remembered.

”You’re the Soul Guardian Girl from the Golden Era, right?”

Her duties were roughly similar to what Lucilia was doing now, positioned in the latter part of the soul process.

A naturally born Divine.

”But aren’t you deceased?”

According to the records in the Great Library, this Soul Guardian Girl was a key target for those intent on destroying the world.

Even under the protection of the Holy Mother and others, she was still assassinated.

The Divine who assassinated her was the same one who frequently tried to assassinate Alka in the Memory Battlefield.

”Yes, that’s right, but my mother loved me deeply. Even though I died, she still pieced my fragments together and preserved them in this Soul Hall, making me a lonely record keeper. She wanted me to document her demise.”

The girl spoke quietly.

Lucilia gradually lowered her overly vigilant state, maintaining normal caution, and began to converse with her.

In short, this girl was among the first sacrifices in the Divine War.

Back then, the world pieced her back because all her powers were taken and destroyed.

Either she would be resurrected as an ordinary person or remain here, and in that era, resurrecting as an ordinary person only led to a dead end.

So, she became a record keeper in the Soul Hall, existing alongside the world.

In the end, she fulfilled her responsibility, documenting the world’s demise.

However, after the Holy Mother and others pieced the world back together, she too was pieced back together.

In this situation, Lucilia inquired with the Divine, confirming it was indeed so.

Proving the girl’s identity and her harmlessness.

”I know people outside are working hard to repair Mother, is there anything I can help you with?”

Lucilia nodded: ”I’m preparing to repair the mechanism of reincarnation, do you have any solutions?”

”Of course, no problem, I have clear records here.”
