Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

If she suddenly becomes busy like Lucilia, she might go insane.

As they had barely begun their conversation, Lucilia emerged once more.

”Done.”

Upon hearing this, Alka quietly sensed within his own little world.

”Did you take all the souls away?”

Lucilia not only whisked away the souls of those scholars and knights from the library, but also whisked away the souls of those who had been invaded by the Abyss’s influence before successfully separating from it.

This meant that not a single soul was left in his little world.

Lucilia nodded and smiled.

Then she looked at the Puppet Girls who were still playing around in the room.

”Gather! All gather!”

Upon hearing this, all the Puppet Girls hurried over, puzzled and thinking something might have happened.

Lucilia looked at them.

Unexpectedly said, ”Now, you are all the employees of the great ferryman Lucilia! You will sail on the Nether River.

Each of you will have your own boat, sailing on the Nether River, guiding those souls who need to cross the river!

From now on, the Puppet Knight Order will be transformed completely into Nether River Ferrymen! We will contribute our power for the order of the world!

We will become the ferrymen of the Nether River, guardians of souls.

For the glory of the Mother of the World!”

Lucilia inexplicably delivered a long speech.

But one must admit, she truly was the leader of the Puppet Girls, her words immediately stirred the Puppet Girls’ emotions.

They followed along with loud cheers.

No matter if they understood her words or not, cheering was all that mattered.

”Great! Very spirited! Now follow me!”

Lucilia winked at Alka and the others.

Slicing gently.

A door made of bones rose steadily in their living room in broad daylight.

The door was composed of bones from various races and creatures.

As the door slowly opened, its creaking sound was almost ear-piercing.

When the door opened, the presence of souls rushed toward them, chilling to the bone.

One could even hear the sound of flowing water behind the door.

Within this presence of souls and strange flowing sounds, they felt their souls being pulled from their bodies.

A tattered cloak, tinged with gray and a hint of green, appeared on Lucilia’s body; she pulled up the hood onto her head.

The once Curse Sword appeared in Lucilia’s hand, but its appearance was changing into a massive Scythe.

”You still say you’re not the Death God!” Jason shouted.

How is this different from the Death God?

”I’m a ferryman, that’s just the pole for steering the boat!” Lucilia argued.

While making a funny face.

Then, leading the Puppet Girls and the souls she sent to an unknown destination, she entered through the door, which then closed behind.

Their sense of Lucilia’s presence was gone.

Alka was quite surprised too.

Although he could understand Lucilia’s notion of being busy, he hadn’t expected she’d swiftly dive into the work of maintaining world order.

”Uh, what should we do now?” Juanlu suddenly asked.

”Head to the frontlines then; we can only relieve some pressure there for now.”

Even though Lucilia had devoted herself to a more important task of maintaining the cycle of world order.

They still had 8 Eighth Stage strong warriors.

Which was still a formidable force; their involvement in the frontlines could significantly ease the pressure there.

Upon hearing this, everyone nodded.

This was indeed the current course of action.

”Can you open a gate to send us over?” Jason asked.

Alka shook his head.

”We don’t actually know what the situation on the frontlines is now; what if I send you directly into a Demon’s territory?”

They’d been too busy these past days.

Since returning, it had only been two or three days.

There hadn’t been time to understand the frontlines’ situation.

”The Return City should still be there; let’s go to Return City directly,” Simon suddenly suggested.

Upon hearing this, Alka also nodded.

Return City was indeed close to the frontlines, and it should still be there, as they would have known if it wasn’t.

Alka opened a gate on the spot, and they followed through, arriving at Return City.

But when they saw Return City, they were all stunned.

For what they saw wasn’t Return City but a giant fortress tower.

The surrounding walls stretched 40 to 50 meters high to the horizon beyond.

And the city’s enormous form was even more exaggerated than the Demon-Defending Fortress they’d previously seen.

Especially the defensive equipment atop, various Elemental Cannonfire, as well as towers infused with Spell and Energy.

This was indeed a war fortress, not resembling Return City at all.

All around were various materials, buildings, and personnel and wounded moving to and fro, while the sounds of battle cries lingered.

”Did some news come from other regions?”

A soldier covered in blood with a bandaged right hand approached Alka and the group, asking hurriedly.

He hadn’t even noticed that the Teleportation Gate looked somewhat different.
