Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Then he felt a bit rueful, wondering if he didn’t even know his own son’s hobbies.

”When did you start liking this kind of thing?”

But it seemed strange as his son didn’t seem to have bought any models or books related to sailing ships.

Never saw him showing interest in this area of hobbies.

”No, I just started liking it recently,” Hongchen replied perfunctorily.

He went to the bow, looking towards the sea, suddenly lifted his hand, and then walked up to the deck to pat the mast.

He looked at the poop deck, then at the forecastle.

The ship didn’t have a figurehead; instead, there was a mast extending straight out.

”It would be nice if it were a bird’s head,” he said inexplicably.

For the past month, they traveled around various places, and Hongchen seemed to be getting healthier.

But only he knew it was a bit like the final rally before his inevitable decline, accompanied by his mother at first, and eventually, his father put down everything to join them. Even his sister took leave from school to come back.

After a round of travel, they returned home, and Hongchen sat on the sofa.

The family was busy in the kitchen, with only his sister sitting on the sofa, occasionally turning to look at him.

”What are you looking at me for? Are you crazy?”

”Who’s crazy? Mind your own business. I’ll look if I want to. Go ahead and poke my eyes out if you dare,” his sister retorted unceremoniously.

Looking at his sister, Hongchen suddenly sat back on the sofa and wiggled his buttocks.

”Let me fart for you to smell.”

”You’re crazy! You’re crazy!” she cursed twice, then sat back on the sofa.

But intermittently she kept watching him out of the corner of her eye.

Hongchen stood up, his gaze becoming clearer, and began to walk around the living room.

He looked at the balcony, occasionally fiddling with the small flowers on either side.

Picked up the watering can and sprayed some water before heading to the kitchen to watch his busy parents, chatting amiably with them.

He opened the fridge but didn’t take anything out, just opened it to look inside.

He looked at the shoe cabinet by the door, then sat down beside the dining table.

Then he stood up again, went to the bathroom next to his room, inexplicably turned on the shower, then turned it off.

Pressed the toilet flush button.

Could not help but smile.

He walked into his own room, looked at the game consoles he’d bought after starting work, and unlocked his computer.

He examined some models and fiddled with them for a while.

Then he entered his parents’ room, walked around, turned on the light, and came back out.

Next, he looked toward his sister’s room beside him, opened the door, and walked in.

”What are you doing?” his sister, who had been observing him, asked.

”Your room is a real mess, not like a girl’s at all, so embarrassing!”

”Who cares what you think? Who cares? Your room isn’t any cleaner; how dare you criticize mine.”

”A girl comparing with me?” he said as he closed the door.

He wandered around the living room again and sat down on the sofa.

Pulled a blanket over himself, feeling a bit cold.

His sister alternated between watching TV and looking at her phone, sitting restlessly.

Watching out of the corner of her eye.

Watching her brother sitting on the sofa, his eyes gradually narrowing.

His complexion was turning paler, rapidly becoming ashen, and his lips began to turn purple.

Seeing this scene unfold, his sister, who had been watching him, could no longer hold back, her voice filled with tears.

She shouted, ”Mom! Dad! Come quickly!”

She had anticipated this long ago.

But when the moment finally came, no one could withstand it.

The last thing heard was the hurried footsteps and shouts of their parents.

The whole scene started to shatter.

Alka stood there watching the scene, seeing the family gathered around his former body.

He looked at the room where he’d spent his whole life.

Standing on the balcony.

The golden hue outside began to fade.

The image of the entire house started to shatter, turning into something like flying ash, dissipating.

Something long buried in his heart emerged.

Regret, deep-seated regret, and nostalgia.

Alka’s figure disappeared, and Hongchen, lying lifeless on the sofa, stood up again.

The images of his parents and sister dispersed.

The surroundings transformed into an endless blue sea and sky.

The sky remained unchanged, with only the sun and a single drifting white cloud.

The sound of waves came through.

And the melodious songs reached his ears, Alka was already standing on the deck of the Sound of Dawn.

The figures of Chadite and others appeared.

Lucilia sat on his shoulder, Chadite came to his side, linking arms with him.

The Crystal Dragon glided across the sky, landing on the deck, its tail hanging down into the sea due to its body size.

Pororo leaped off the deck.

Simon ran out of the cabin.

Smelling the aroma of food and hearing the melodious singing.

Then the girls were frolicking around, leaping up and down the freely moving vines.

The deep regret started to fade away.

More filled in, occupying the gaps left by the fading regret.

Alka just stood on the deck, looking into the distance.

”There’s no more regret, Hongchen. At least this time, you died at home surrounded by family, without regret, not in confusion.”

He said this, raising his hand and squeezing it hard.

The illusion dispersed.
