Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

”So I’m a bit curious, the Trial Taker you believe in, or what you could call the God of Trial, did they leave or die in battle?”

Alka asked while sitting on the training ground.

They had looked through the records of various Divines in the Splendid Grand Library, first naturally checking the Divines they encountered on their journey.

This included the God of Trial.

Though there were records, the issue was that in the later periods, many books stopped being compiled, as the whole world had become a chaotic mess by then.

What scholar would have the heart to compile these?

Even if they did, it wasn’t as comprehensive as before. At that time, new gods rose every day, and old gods fell daily.

The intensity of the war had already stripped mortals of the right to record.

Even the Crystal Dragons had begun hunting beings with Divinity worldwide, forcing them to yield the world’s Rule.

In the later period of the world, many records stopped being compiled; instead, after the world was in ruins, those who survived resumed writing down what they knew.

Of course, many did not continue to write.

So Alka did not know if the God of Trial had fallen in battle or followed the gods in leaving.

Mainly from the fact that both the instructor and the Tower of Trial were still operational, it could be inferred that he hadn’t died, or at least not completely.

Of course, he was also unsure, as Alka only had a rough understanding of the situations among the Divines.

”It seems you’ve learned quite a bit about the situation these days,” the instructor couldn’t help but say.

However, he didn’t hide anything and directly said, ”It’s simple, he transformed into the trial itself.

Do you know the situation at the end of the world?”

Alka nodded.

”Exactly, the God of Trial infused his Eternal will, he imbued his will into the trial itself, and then merged with the world.

He truly turned himself into the trial, which is why the Divine Hall of Trial still exists, and the Tower of Trial continues eternally.”

Is there really such a path?

Imbuing one’s will into the world’s rules, is it worth it? Or what is the meaning of doing so?

This is almost no different from death, and it seems like it requires voluntary sacrifice to achieve this effect.

”I can tell from your expression, you definitely can’t understand, right?” the instructor said.

Alka nodded; he certainly couldn’t understand this situation.

”That’s why we are human. Regardless of whether those high and mighty beings are naturally more malicious than us humans, they are ultimately natural existences.

Their thoughts are naturally different from ours. For our god, this is the extension of his will. He had even been looking forward to this moment for a long time.”

Clearly, the instructor also didn’t understand, but they respected their Divine’s choice.

Leaving behind only the will infused in the Rule.

Yet this was the opportunity the God of Trial had longed for.

Obviously, these naturally born Divines and mortals like Alka have different understandings of individuality.

”Are there other Divines like this?” Alka couldn’t help but ask curiously.

Obviously, such choices and transformations probably occurred at the end of the Divine War, when the world was nearly shattered.

The instructor nodded, ”Yes, interestingly, many of our god’s friends were in similar situations.”

In short, those wishing to imbue their will into the Rule formed their own small circle. And most gods in this circle had similar ideas.

The differences among them might simply be that some succeeded while others did not.

Unable to understand.

”For example, the Alchemist Master, you could also call him the God of Equivalent Exchange. He also infused his will into the Rule, and he was actually the pioneer of this path, the first achiever, providing a completely feasible procedure for all Divines with such thoughts afterwards.”

”So that’s how it is.”

Alka had seen the records of this Divine, and Alka had thought he had died in battle.

With such a title, this Divine didn’t seem like someone with great might.

It should have been in the mid-to-late stages of the war, though few records from the end period were preserved, the records of this Divine ended when the records were still intact.

Many scholars believed this Divine to be dead.

Because the Alchemist Master didn’t have a presence worshiped by or had a Church organization devoted to him.

Those willing to worship him were mostly alchemists and similar beings, generally rational individuals usually of considerable means.

It was a more loose faith system.

Probably only when truly crafting something, needing to increase success rates, or requiring more inspiration, would they make simple prayers.

However, based on records, during significant accomplishments or experiments, they surely paid proper homage to this Divine.

These are normal human emotions.

Perhaps only at such times did this Divine have some followers.

Naturally, when this Divine departed, and mortals could no longer hear his voice, they thought he might have fallen during the Divine War.

At that time, the death of a Divine was no longer a shocking event.

It seems he wasn’t dead, but rather the first to imbue his will into the Rule.

”What changes do such actions bring?”
