Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

After pondering for a long time, he threw it into the drawer.

He turned to look at the corpse of the maid lying on the floor.

”Failed transformation? It seems a powerful body is needed, no, maybe the male demon devoured her soul, causing it to fail.

No rush, take it slowly.”

He casually comforted himself, waving his hand lightly.

A spatial rift appeared beneath the corpse, along with the blood-stained carpet, which fell into it.

As if nothing had happened, he sat beside the chair, continuing to drink the wine in his hand and reading his book.

...

At this moment, a dark small room.

Several cloaked figures were gathered here, sitting around a circular table, with the only illumination in the room being the candles on the table.

At this moment, the door beside them opened.

Another cloaked figure walked in, through the wooden door you could hear the pattering rain outside.

The figure shook off the water from his cloak and then simply took it off entirely, hanging it beside them.

”Sorry for being late.”

The speaker was Balazs, saying this as he sat in an empty seat.

Alka and Narminis, who had just arrived two days ago, also sat nearby.

”This will be the last meeting before the deed is done; the next meeting will be a death celebration.”

Alka said calmly.

The others nodded.

Other than the three leading figures, everyone else kept their hoods on, even though they knew this fabric offered no concealment.

Yet it seemed this thin layer could cover the emotions in their hearts, casting a veil of luck.

”Tell us your plan, Balazs.”

The newly arrived Balazs nodded and said, ”Kriel has many subordinates, and just as many enemies.

The only good news is that the troublesome team he personally trained died with him on Border Island years ago.”

Hearing this, Alka couldn’t help but reminisce.

He should be talking about the first time he met Kriel, it was there that he formed a feud with him.

”To eliminate Kriel with the smallest cost and greatest likelihood, we must try to reduce the number of guards around him.

Reduce the royal palace’s guards.

We need a reason to gather more people.”

He turned to look at Narminis, asking, ”Do you have any good suggestions?”

”As a follower of the Holy Mother, and a prince of this country, at least my princely status has not yet been revoked.

Then naturally, my return requires a grand ceremony dedicated to the Holy Mother.”

Narminis expressed his thoughts.

One hooded figure said, ”This plan is unfeasible, isn’t it? We have believed in the White Mist Serpent since childhood. I mean no offense. But your faith has long been criticized by the common people, how could they attend such a ceremony.”

”Provide enough free food and organize a ball among the upper class as an individual.

I know these city nobles all too well, even if they don’t cooperate with me, they must attend the ball, because I will issue the invitation as a prince.”

Narminis said, although most officials and nobles knew this prince was practically nonexistent.

But his title has not been revoked yet. No one understands Kriel’s intentions, and no one dares to gamble.

After all, Kriel still has no offspring and rarely has scandals with women.

The hooded figures around him couldn’t help but nod; this reason was indeed reasonable and effective.

”Then I will cooperate with you, trying to make more nobles attend, while also increasing guards for the ceremony,” Balazs said nearby.

”But Prince, you must understand that if anything goes wrong, you will also be in danger,” said a hooded figure.

Narminis nodded, ”I am also a knight; danger is always unavoidable.”

Having confirmed this, Balazs turned to look at Alka, ”Then the final main battle will be left to you and your companions.”

Alka nodded, ”Don’t worry.”

This series of arrangements was mainly to alleviate Alka and their burden and reduce unexpected situations.

Also, to minimize damage to the entire country after the battle.

In the best-case scenario, only Kriel would die, but such a situation was clearly impossible.

Everyone knew Alka, and their powerful team was the core of this operation.

Everyone revolved around them in preparation.

Similarly, Alka and they also bore the primary responsibilities, the most dangerous tasks.

”The day the ceremony begins will be when the battle starts. At that time, I will personally meet you at the palace gates and lead you straight to Kriel,” Balazs said.

Narminis also turned to Alka and said, ”Thank you for what you’ve done.”

Alka looked at him, ”No thanks needed, because this isn’t for you, nor for anyone else. It’s for me and my companions.

We just have a common revenge target.”

With that, everyone continued discussing various details until they had thoroughly communicated before leaving the small room one by one.
