Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Upon hearing Alka’s question, the Great Elder turned to look at the person behind him.

It was a slightly younger female.

Seeing the Great Elder’s gaze, she nodded and stepped forward, looking at Alka and the others, she said, ”According to our preserved historical records, at that time we were resisting the wide-scale invasion of the God of War.

But then, the reckless Mid attacked us with his troops. During the surprise attack, the High Priest closed our spatial connection point with the outside world.

However, at this time, the reckless one used his power to forcibly damage the area where the Temple and the Tower of Winter were located.

This caused a fracture between the inside and outside. Initially, we thought the gate would reopen soon, but until it never opened again, we knew something unexpected happened outside.”

Alka nodded, ”Was the war between the gods fierce at that time?”

”It was only slightly more intense than the usual disputes.”

I understand, the initial stage of the war. So, wars between the gods were actually quite normal?

Only this time it has continued spreading, and the bigger it has gotten.

”Well then, after you were locked inside, the war among the gods became more intense, until the war shattered the world into pieces.”

Hearing this, the Great Elder and the people behind him couldn’t help but feel tense.

It took tens of thousands of years to finally wait for the dawn, only to find that the outside had long been shattered.

”Alright, let me finish.”

”When the world was shattered, the surviving gods left one after another. In the end, only four deities chose to stay. They began to repair the shattered world with each of their abilities and pieced it together.

These four deities were Holy... Stone Mother, Sea God, Wise One, and Life.”

After speaking, Alka looked at them.

The female who had stepped forward furrowed her brows, ”I know Stone Mother and Sea God. But who are Wise One and Life?”

Evidently, she had never heard of the names of the latter two deities.

”It’s quite normal not to have heard of them. Perhaps they’ve changed their names.

After all, it’s been over thirty thousand years, hasn’t it?”

If Alka referred to Stone Mother as Holy Mother, they probably wouldn’t understand who it is either.

So, since ancient times, only the Sea God’s name has remained unchanged.

”Finally, the world has become a place based on the ocean, with remaining fragments pieced together on top, forming various islands.

So now, the outside world is a world of the ocean.”

”How was this possible? The world should have its own consciousness. If everything is broken, the world has died, even if pieced together, shouldn’t the world collapse and be destroyed?”

A person who looked to be in middle-age due to sparse hair furrowed his brows and said.

He seemed to not understand how this broken world was being maintained.

Hearing this, Alka kept a heart eye.

It seems the Vastva people also have some understanding of the world’s consciousness.

”That, I don’t know. Anyway, this is just how the world is running now and it has been running like this for tens of thousands of years.”

Hearing Alka’s words, some nodded. These mysteries can only be understood once they go out.

”So, what do you mean by deadly danger?” someone asked Alka.

Alka pointed to the two Kavala who came up with them.

”Do you see the allergic reactions on the two of them?”

At this time, there were still some rashes on their bodies that hadn’t completely faded; they could still see these allergic marks on the two of them.

”High Magic Syndrome, an allergic reaction from touching too much magic power,” a woman said.

Alka nodded, ”Indeed, if simply the magic power contained in the magic fog I released has already caused such allergic symptoms among you, can you really survive in the outside world filled with magic power in the air?

Every breath, every item, every action—the surroundings are all filled with magic power.”

Alka felt that even within the deliberately low magic environment of Homeland Sea, they might not survive and would definitely be weakened by the environment.

Let alone the Endless Sea, where a normal mortal would be in a high magic environment, and their body would be in a state of active magic power.

Even ordinary people living in the Four Seas suddenly entering such an environment would die from being overly active in terms of the magic inside their bodies.

The people in front of him were allergic to a little high magic power, breathing a few more breaths might really trigger internal allergic reactions, causing all sorts of problems.

”So the outside is really full of magic power,” the woman who just answered the symptoms muttered to herself.

They had already developed serious separation from the external world, as well as issues with worldview and attitude.

Then she looked up at the Great Elder and said, ”Great Elder, if this is really the case, we definitely cannot go out rashly. We simply cannot survive outside.”

”You have been here for a full thirty thousand years, and the environment here has long changed some of your physical conditions.” So much time means certain adaptations are inevitable.

The Great Elder held his face painfully; he now didn’t know what to do.

Staying here means waiting for death, going out means immediate death.
