Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 607: Chapter 285 Decision_2

The female instructor spoke, her hands clasped behind her back, her eyes closed.

”You’ve failed. Look forward to your next trial.”

With those words, Chadite vanished.

Matilda, who was waiting nearby, and Alka, who was pondering something, noticed Chadite emerge from the Teleportation Platform. The numerous scars covering Chadite’s body prompted Matilda to rush over immediately. Supporting Chadite, Matilda examined her closely as green Magic Power from her hands transformed into threads and flowed into Chadite’s body. Matilda raised her four hands, and a gentle blue stream of water emanated from each palm, softly massaging Chadite’s skin. Soon, the bruises on Chadite’s skin began to fade.

”Don’t worry, they’re just superficial wounds, nothing internal,” Chadite said weakly. Her Magic Power and stamina were both heavily depleted. It wasn’t easy trying to evade purely by perception while blindfolded.

”Looking this pitiful, you must have gained something, right?” Alka said, squatting beside Chadite and watching her.

Hearing this, Chadite nodded with a smile.

”Of course. The gains were quite good.”

It seems Chadite is different from me; she’s already figured out her attack techniques. From the looks of it, she must already be in training, and she also successfully met the instructor. This is good; it means she’s already achieved the most significant gain.

While Chadite was receiving basic treatment, Julia and the others returned. They had cleared out some of the nearby elemental-like creatures.

”I’ll go in this time,” Simon said, stepping onto the Teleportation Platform. After placing his hand on the left side, he vanished on the spot.

”Chadite, what did you gain?” Jason asked curiously from the side. He wanted to hear how her experience differed from Alka’s.

After receiving treatment, Chadite sat nearby to recover her stamina, recounting her experiences. The others listened attentively.

”It really is different from Alka’s experience. You’ve already started learning, but Alka just got a scolding.”

”I wonder what kind of evaluation I’ll get.”

Hearing Jason’s words, Alka glanced at him.

”With Ulu Liwus in Deep Sleep, can you still unleash your proper strength?”

”Of course, no problem. She’s past the most critical stage and no longer siphons my Magic Power.”

”Is that so? That’s good then,” Alka replied, though she remained skeptical. Because the feedback Jason received from the Crystal Dragon was still the same as before. Such an enhancement was practically negligible for Jason at his current stage. It was as if he had no Treasure right now. Not unless the Crystal Dragon awakened and provided feedback appropriate for his current stage to strengthen him.

However, they didn’t chat for long before Simon was transported out, his body covered in wounds and stained with blood. He looked far more miserable than Chadite. Matilda promptly began treating him. Fortunately, these injuries weren’t life-threatening, just minor wounds. After treatment, a short rest would be enough for him to mostly recover.

Seeing Simon’s condition, Chadite couldn’t help but furrow her brow and ask, ”On which layer did this happen to you?”

”The fourth layer,” Simon gasped, struggling for breath.

So Simon still faced an enemy on the fourth layer. The thought suddenly struck Alka. Simon is already at 11 Spirals; like me, he was among the first to advance to the Third Stage. It’s just that I used the spoils from Mirmi’s death to forcibly elevate myself to 14 Spirals. The enemy Simon faced on the fourth layer was custom-tailored for him, possessing top-tier 10-Spiral strength. Both the environment and the attack methods were designed specifically against Simon. Moreover, Simon’s Treasure isn’t meant for direct combat; it’s more to assist him in creating constructs. It belongs to the support or logistical category. In such circumstances, he clearly couldn’t defeat an enemy who was only one Spiral weaker than him.

”On the fourth layer, I encountered a beast resembling a bear. Its defenses were too strong; my Sentry Patrol Planes couldn’t inflict any effective damage on it.

”Plus, the icy, snowy environment hampered my control over the constructs.

”I had practically no ability to fight back.”

Simon spoke through the pain, but as Matilda’s treatment neared completion, his expression relaxed noticeably.

Hearing Simon’s words, Alka, who was beside him, nodded thoughtfully. Just as I thought. Indeed, against a top-tier enemy tailored to one’s weaknesses, even possessing a Treasure, if that Treasure isn’t enhanced, one is very likely to fail in direct combat.

”Just wait! I’ll definitely pass the next trial. I was too careless this time,” Simon declared fiercely.

Alka nodded; she didn’t doubt him. After all, for this trial, Simon had only brought a few Sentry Patrol Planes, and they weren’t even experimentally modified. With proper preparation next time, the outcome would likely be different. For a Mechanic, the more time they have to prepare, the greater the strength they can unleash.

With Simon’s exit, it was the others’ turn.

...

After a full day and night, everyone had completed the first round of trials. However, their gains varied. Only a few had managed to reach the stage where an instructor provided training. These included Alka and Chadite, who were the first to succeed, and surprisingly, after them, only Pororo managed it.
