Chapter 345: Chapter 198: Puppets Similar to Chadite_2

Jason nodded. He had to admit Alka really wasn’t a good teacher. His teaching quality was far inferior to Lucilia’s. Even when Jason was with Chadite and the others in Lucilia’s language classes, it hadn’t felt this difficult.

Alka didn’t argue. He knew he wasn’t cut out to be a teacher; he only did it because he was the only one on board who could. If he didn’t teach Jason, he’d have to supply all of Jason’s special ammunition in the future. That would be incredibly troublesome. He could accept crafting high-grade ammunition, but he had no interest in churning out ordinary consumables.

The struggling student and the inept teacher were finally rid of each other.

”When you go up, call Lucilia for me. Tell her there’s a new Puppet Girl.”

Upon hearing this, an interested expression appeared on Jason’s face, and he turned and ran upstairs.

”Alright, I’ll call her right away.”

He quickly reached the deck, where Lucilia was already engaged in combat training with Ling and Shield. Julia and Chadite were advising from the side, while an idle Pororo also chimed in with comments.

”Lucilia, Alka wants you to go down.”

Hearing someone call her name, Lucilia deflected a steel needle shot by Shield with her own shield. Only then did she turn her head and see Jason, who had just come up from below deck.

”Okay, I’ll go right away.” Lucilia seemed to recall something. A smile touched her lips, and she immediately leaped down to the lower deck.

Seeing Lucilia’s excited expression, Chadite looked at Jason and asked, ”What’s going on? Why is she so worked up?”

”A new Puppet Girl.”

Upon hearing this, Chadite’s eyes lit up with understanding. She nodded, then crouched down and smiled at Ling and Shield on the deck. ”Are you two excited? You’re about to have a new sister!”

In response to her question, Ling merely gave a stiff nod, while Shield remained expressionless and motionless, exuding an air of aloof coolness.

Chadite, apparently used to this, gently tapped each of their heads with two fingers before standing up.

”What will the new Puppet Girl be like?” Her tone was filled with anticipation.

Chadite adored these thirty-centimeter-tall, exquisitely crafted Puppet Girls who could move just like humans. She particularly loved dressing them up. Had this childhood hobby truly continued into her adulthood?

「At this moment, in the Manufacturing Hall.」

Lucilia dashed in like a streak of light, landing directly on the table. She surveyed the hall, now filled with fine threads, and the puppet at their origin.

”Is this the new Puppet Girl? Does she use threads as weapons?”

Alka nodded and said curtly, ”Let’s get to it. All that’s left is the final activation step.”

Lucilia didn’t dally. She nodded, and her soul emerged from its vessel, controlling the flag as it floated out.

Then, the two of them repeated the procedure they had already performed twice before, beginning the enlightenment of the new Puppet Girl. Both were now proficient in this process, and Lucilia could control the flag with greater skill. She no longer needed to be as timid and meticulous as the first time, a testament to her growing mastery over the flag.

Through the enlightenment, the ordinary puppet began to transform, gradually taking on the appearance of a Puppet Girl.

This Puppet Girl’s hair color differed from the previous two; it was silver, strikingly similar to Chadite’s hair, and even her features bore some resemblance.

Once the enlightenment process was complete, Lucilia retracted the flag. Looking at the Puppet Girl’s appearance, she tilted her head and couldn’t help but ask in confusion, ”Why does she look so much like Chadite?”

Although her facial features were distinctly different from Chadite’s, there was a similar charm, and many of the finer details were quite alike. Especially with that bright silver hair, she looked just like a younger sister to Chadite.

However, Chadite had silver, ear-length short hair, while this Puppet Girl’s hair cascaded all the way to her heels, as long as she was tall.

Alka himself was also somewhat puzzled. Yes, why did she resemble Chadite?

If a Puppet Girl’s appearance wasn’t intentionally sculpted, it would actually tend to lean a little more towards Lucilia’s likeness. However, their forms were more human-like, lacking the pointed ears and emerald-green hair color characteristic of Lucilia, so the resemblance wasn’t obvious at first glance. This was also related to some of the materials used. For example, the Puppet Girls’ skin tone would vary subtly depending on the different materials.

For instance, Shield’s skin wasn’t as luminously white as Ling’s. Though still white, it looked quite dull. Even under sunlight, it seemed to absorb light rather than reflect it.

And the skin tone of this one before them, Number Two, also strongly resembled Chadite’s.

Truly perplexed, Alka shook his head.

This Puppet Girl was clearly different from the previous two. Lucilia, in her soul-form, squatted nearby, observing with curiosity.

”Why is her hair so long? Won’t it affect her in battle?”

”No,” Alka replied, a proud smile on his face, as if showing off. ”These silver strands are made from that thread material. It’s her most distinctive feature. She can use her silver hair to attack or to control her movements.”

”I see. How interesting.”

As he finished speaking, the Puppet Girl before them opened her eyes. Her pupils, unlike Chadite’s, were coppery-yellow.
