Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 332: Chapter 194: Promotion to Phase 2

”Lucilia, your responsibility is great, and the road ahead is long,” Alka suddenly said, looking at Lucilia.

His sudden words left Lucilia puzzled. She turned her head to look at him.

”What responsibility of mine? What are you talking about?”

Alka pointed at Ling, who was learning, and said, ”When I was controlling her body to fight you just now, I realized that a puppet’s body is completely different from that of a normal living being. Using the combat style of normal flesh-and-blood creatures in battle would be too much of a waste.”

While controlling the Puppet Girl in battle, he realized he could have used various fighting styles that violate the normal range of human joint movement.

After all, a puppet’s body could be manipulated at will.

But because he was accustomed to his own human body, fighting like a puppet was impossible for him.

His subconscious, his memories, even his muscle memory, were all stopping him.

He would only be able to do so if he continuously used a puppet’s body.

”Even though the body you’re using now is almost identical to your flesh-and-blood one, don’t forget it’s still a puppet. Its joints can still be bent freely. You must get used to this body and utilize its strengths. This will give you a great advantage in battle. Don’t waste such an advantage.”

Hearing Alka’s words, Lucilia had a sudden realization.

They had completely forgotten about this and had never considered it from this angle. Lucilia herself had always relied on her former instincts.

Alka only realized this because he had personally controlled the puppet’s body.

”So, do you understand? In the future, all puppets will need to fight. We certainly can’t create fighting styles tailored to each puppet’s body from scratch, but you’re different. You can.”

Lucilia, as a puppet with a human soul, can rely on her intelligence and experience to devise a unique fighting style for puppets, as long as she becomes accustomed to the puppet body.

Lucilia nodded after hearing this. ”Don’t worry, I’ll do my best.”

Having understood this, Lucilia now knew just how much creating a suitable fighting style could enhance a puppet’s combat power in the future.

She would even have to seriously research and contemplate how a puppet’s body could be made to perform to its fullest potential.

Because she was the only one capable of doing it.

Seeing Lucilia deep in thought, Alka didn’t disturb her. He nodded to Chadite, gesturing for them to leave first.

Chadite followed Akka to the side.

”Chadite, where have we sailed to now?” Alka asked.

These past few days, Alka had been researching and manufacturing below deck, so the main navigation tasks had naturally fallen to Chadite. After all, Chadite was now the first officer of this ship.

Hearing Alka’s words, Chadite nodded, and a map appeared in his hand. He pointed to their course and then to their current location on it, saying, ”Based on the distance and our current speed, we should be around this position.”

Alka tilted his head, looking at the direction Chadite was pointing to on the map.

The entire passage ahead had almost no reference points.

The entire C-shaped passage had only five reference points in total: the entry and exit points of four sea areas, and the final estuary connecting to the Endless Sea.

Relative to these reference points, their current position was between the exit of the Homeland Sea and the entrance to the Multitude Sea, slightly closer to the Multitude Sea.

”Are we really moving this fast?” Akka couldn’t help but ask, seeing their location. If this were in the Homeland Sea, it would take more than half a year to cover such a distance.

Chadite nodded and explained, ”The current in the passage is faster than we imagined. Perhaps it’s because the exit of the Homeland Sea is near the source of the current. Regardless, our speed increases the further we go. Both the current and the wind speed are still accelerating. Plus, we sailed at maximum speed for a full day and night to escape the attack range of that unknown Sea Beast.”

Chadite had essentially explained all the reasons for their rapid speed.

Hearing this, Alka nodded. ”Does that mean it won’t be long before we reach the exit of the Multitude Sea?”

”Yes, it’s estimated to be less than a week.”

Hearing Chadite’s words, Alka frowned slightly. He thought for a moment and said, ”Considering the problems at the Homeland Sea’s exit, it’s very likely we’ll encounter similar storms when we leave the Multitude Sea. We must prepare in advance.”

”No problem, I’ll remind them.”

After a brief chat, Alka returned to his room to get some proper rest.

「It had been three days since Alka created Ling.」

Their speed was even faster than they had anticipated. They would likely reach the entrance to the Multitude Sea in about two more days.

At this moment, Alka was sitting cross-legged on his bed.

Magic Power spiraled around him, converging into his body. Sweat streamed down his forehead like raindrops.

He had reached a critical juncture. He was on the verge of completely breaking through the Three Spirals to attain the Four Spirals, thereby stepping into the Second Stage.

This was a whole new realm, and even though he had asked Julia, he still felt a bit anxious.
