Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 337: Chapter 195: The Gate to the Sea of All Beings_3

Nonetheless, they still stood vigilantly at the stern.

”What kind of creature is this? Can it really be considered a Sea Beast?” Juanlu couldn’t help but ask.

This creature’s appearance was too peculiar; it seemed as if its entire body was composed of silver threads.

Those silver, thread-like tentacles were incredibly fast, extremely sharp, and very powerful.

At this moment, the Magic Shield on the ship was already covered with cracks; if they hadn’t blocked them just now, the ship would have sustained considerable damage when the Magic Shield broke.

”Watch out, something’s coming!”

Then the creature seemed to shake off the pain, but it also seemed unable to catch up; it spat out something from the core wrapped in silver threads.

Clusters of silver, thread-like entities arced through the air, flying towards their ship.

”It can even throw parts of itself over?”

Watching the flying objects twist chaotically in the air, Jason couldn’t help but mock. Then, he raised his left hand.

What shot out was a flaming missile, accurately hitting one of them and instantly igniting it.

The burning Fireball plummeted directly into the seawater.

A Blade of Coldness. A blue card. These two attacks shot towards the sky, starting to knock down the objects flying towards them.

The blue Screw Vortex Water Chain card specifically targeted the most crowded areas; upon exploding, the ejected chains ensnared two to four entities each, dragging the captured, cluster-like creatures together into the sea.

This Sea Monster clearly had ample experience dealing with Spellbound Ships, judging by the sheer number of silver, cluster-like objects flying in.

A few slipped through, landing on the ship.

However, these silver clusters penetrated the Magic Shield and fell. Weren’t these things considered an attack?

These things started twisting immediately upon hitting the deck, shooting out one thread after another in all directions.

These don’t seem like chunks of flesh, but rather independent entities. Otherwise, they would definitely have been considered attacks.

”Silver Shattering Fist!”

Chadite, who had been keeping watch on deck, swiftly swung his right fist. A silver light flashed by.

The writhing, silver, thread-like entity shattered instantly, exploding into a large cloud of silver threads that floated down from the sky.

All the silver threads that had shot out seemed to lose their power, turning into individual strands that landed on the deck.

Lucilia’s whole body emitted a blood-red aura, as did Ling and One, who followed behind her.

The three Puppet Girls transformed into three streams of blood-red light, moving swiftly. Their petite bodies, combined with formidable strength, made their actions exceptionally agile.

Facing the fallen silver thread clusters, Lucilia and Ling each took one, using the blood-red aura enveloping their weapons to slash right through them.

One, however, couldn’t achieve the same result; the strength of this second Puppet Girl to be created was only Two Spirals.

The strength of these monsters falling onto the deck was actually superior to Two Spirals but weaker than Three Spirals.

A spherical object shot over to assist One, who shattered the thread cluster in front of her.

It was Juanlu, holding the Bat.

Currently, the Bat was practically useless for Alka, who had too many choices in combat.

So he had given the weapon to Juanlu, and it seemed to be working well now.

They now began to cooperate meticulously.

Alka and the other two at the stern used a plethora of long-range attacks to shoot down the thread cluster creatures.

The creatures that slipped through to the deck were left for Chadite and the others to handle.

As the distance between the ship and the enemy grew, the enemy couldn’t keep up. It could only watch as they departed.

Alka and the others ceased their attacks, as the last of the hurled thread cluster creatures could no longer reach their deck.

As their momentum faded, they fell into the seawater.

They had completely exited the enemy’s attack range.

”Finally shook them off,” Alka said, exhaling.

Fortunately, the members aboard the ship were all quite capable and had sufficient means to limit the enemy’s silver thread tentacles.

As a result, the Magic Shield on the ship hadn’t been shattered, and, naturally, no one was injured.

It was a silver lining.

However, the creature didn’t seem to have suffered any significant damage, apart from many of its tentacles being ignited. Judging from its ability to pursue them, it still seemed to be moving with ease.

But it’s clearly much stronger than I am, and feels even more powerful than Julia, Alka sensed. At least Six Spirals or higher.

Luckily, the pink mist had limited the attacks from the enemy’s large mass of silver tentacles. If it had spread further, who knows if it could have dragged the enemy into the Dream Realm and put it to sleep?

Anyway, they managed to escape.

There are Sea Beasts like this at both entrances, Alka mused, growing suspicious. Were these things deliberately placed here? Or have these Sea Beasts just cleverly figured out a pattern and are specifically ambushing ships here?

At this moment, Pororo was still expending a large amount of Magic Power to control the water flow, propelling the ship forward rapidly.

Only when his Magic Power began to deplete did he relinquish control over the current.

The Sound of Dawn continued to advance at full speed.

The other crew members were still on alert at various points on the deck.

The deck was now densely covered with silver threads, all remnants of the projectile creatures they had killed.

Alka crouched down and picked up a length of thread.

This thread was much thinner than those the creature used to attack the ship.

These threads were like actual sewing threads, whereas the silver threads used by the enemy for attacking and whipping were at least as thick as one’s little finger.

Each swing was like a powerful whip-lash, possibly with a cutting edge.

Magic Power surged from Alka’s hand into the thread.

”Oh? This is actually Spell Material!” Alka exclaimed quietly. ”The Magic Power conduction is excellent, and it’s extremely durable.”

These threads are definitely top-tier material, Alka thought, a smile appearing on his face as he looked at the thread-covered deck. At least we gained something from the battle, right? Much better than returning empty-handed, he reflected.

”Everyone, help me collect these!”

Upon hearing Alka’s words, everyone crouched down and began to collect these silver threads scattered across the deck.

The ship continued to advance at full speed, quickly leaving this sea area behind.
